I have been diagnosed with atopic skin and easily get small rashes, eczema here and there on myself. The rashes are not serious and go away by their own after a while, except on certain spots. Recently I've noticed that after masturbating a lot I easily get this rash on my genital area, where the hair growth is. I've read that sweating can cause atopic dermatitis and I definately sweat alot while masturbating and also touch the area a lot.

After masturbation, probably too much, I noticed a red area on my penis that felt like I had rubbed the skin raw. I put some Gold Bond medicated itch cream on the area and the next morning there were these pustules which are very sensitive and there is a little swelling in the area. What could this be? I have had the cream for about 6 or 7 years could it have gotten contaminated in that time from something else? Please help this is very painful and freighting.

Recently I've developed a red rash on both of my inner thighs near my pubic mound. The rash is sore like razor burn but I don't shave anymore so I know it isn't razor burn. Furthermore, the rash does not seem to respond to lotions. As far as I can tell I the area hasn't developed any noticeable bumps or blisters. The area is distinctly red like a rash, sort of itchy, though mostly sore.
I belive I have eczema in my genital area because I have it also on my chest. I've tried treating it with different types of lotions but lotions seem to make it worse. I tend to scrath the area because of the itchiness which then leads to breaking of the skin at the base of my penis. I am a 19 year old female. Recently developed a type of rash on my groin. I was wearing a pair of underwear with lace trim and the lace was staring to irritate my skin. I soon checked and exactly under the lace the area was red and if examined closely I noticed little red bumps. I took them off and put on some sweat pants. By the end of the next day the area no longer irritated me and by the third or fourth day of it, it seemed like there was nothing there.
I've had an irritation to my genital area for almost 9 months now. When it first started it reminded me of rash I used to get when I wore wet hockey gear. It was in both cracks between my legs and on the skin at the base of the penis. It usually there almost all the time an goes between worse and better. It often seems to get worse with activity and increase in temperature. I had tried a few creams but nothing has made it disappear completely.
And most dermatologic conditions that cause rash anywhere on the body sometimes can affect the genital area. (Even when the penis itself is involved, most rashes are caused by non-STD problems.)
If the problem persists, continue to work with the doctor you have been seeing; or if it remains unresolved, consider seeing a dermatologist. But from all you say, I think you can safely dismiss genital herpes or any other STD as the cause.

t get through intact skin like thighs or belly, it takes thin skin such as that found in the genital area. Genital to genital rubbing can transmit herpes because of the thin skin thing, but that's not what you are describing.
