So Amiah has quite the rash on her neck. She's going to the DR. next week, but I'm wondering if other babies have this. It doesn't bother her, but it sure looks like an allergic reaction. We've been putting Aquaphor on it...Any suggestions? Thanks!
I have had this problem for atleast 10 years, and i feel like it runs my life. This stupid rash occurs at anytime, and always starts on my chest and works it way up to my neck and face, it makes me extremley hot. i will also get it if i drink, work out, or in hot weather. I have very very VERY fair skin, so when i get even slightly red...its RED. I have notcied that it will occur when im more nervous, but it has also occured in happy, sad, exciting situations.
I'm 26 and female, and for the last 5-6 years, I sporadically get this rash on my neck (mostly) and a little on my chest, armpits and sometimes a couple of random bumps just under my eyes or on my lower face/cheeks. The rash does not itch and begins with a blotchy redness, and then about 4-12 hours later (sometimes it will "mature" overnight) a spray of white-headed bumps wll occur where the redness was.
Otherwise I feel fine until I eat. I am not pregnant. Today I discovered a bright spotted rash on my neck and forehead. If anyone knows what could cause all of this please help!
The last week the rash has traveled up my neck and is now on my jaw line, moving up my hairline. I do yoga and walk and don't feel I sweat enough to cause clogged oil glands or pores. I've been using Proactive for many years now and have found great relief with their oil free moisturizer and green tea lotion on my face. Proactive doesn't seem to have any effect on the rash. I sometimes wonder if the Minocin is causing the rash.
At times the rash feels like pin pricks all across the rashy area, sometimes it feels like a sunburn. The rash has gone up my neck but never on my face, lower arms, legs. I go back to the dermatologist on tuesday, however, it is getting pretty frustrating. It is frustrating when both my PCP and dermatologist tell me that it may never be diagnosed. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, THis could be a case of contact dermatitis.Contact dermatitis is the name for any skin inflammation that occurs when the skin's surface comes in contact with a substance originating outside the body. Irritant contact dermatitis (ICD) is the more commonly reported of the two kinds of contact dermatitis, anf is seen in about 80% of cases. It can be caused by soaps, detergents, solvents, adhesives, fiberglass, and other substances that are able to directly injure the skin.

After I shower, I have red patches on the backside of my arms. I began suffering from cystic acne in my thirties and still do now, ten years later. My doctor has tested me for ANA and it was normal as was my se-rate.

May not be the same thing but mine also affected my upper arms, back, chest, and a little on my neck. Best wishes.
A few days later I noticed a red rash looking thing across my chest wasn't sure if it was a rash or not because I get red in face and neck area easily when upset and I was upset at the time. Then it appeared again the next day after a hot shower. I went to the dr and he said it was allergies even gave me a white blood cell count test to calm my nerves it came back normal he gave me some allergy meds. I came home the cold symptoms went away.
It started out as a bunch of red bumps and is now very dry looking with some yellow crusty areas. It's on her checks, chin, neck, upper back and chest. We took her to the doctor Thursday and it was diagnosed as neonatal acne but that was before the dryness and yellowness appeared. What could it be and how do I treat it? Should I take her back to the doctor? [IMG]http://i150.photobucket.
Today, I discovered that similar patches have formed on one side of my chest and neck, and smaller dots of red pepper my front and back torso. The dots on my torso are not raised or hardened like the ones on my face, and do not form in patches, but are isolated little dots. My doctor believes it may be a case of hives from an allergic reaction to something I ate, and prescribed methylprednisolone and OTC Zyrtec.
