Common Questions and Answers about Rash on face from makeup

rash

Avatar n tn Hello, It can be sweat dermatitis, contact dermatitis, heat rash or rash due to friction rub. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also use a mild soap like dove. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.
Avatar m tn That afternoon I noticed that I had a rash on my face and neck that will not go away, it may have been present immediately before delivery (not certain). Also, I am nauseated daily and vomit at least once a day. I went to the doctor and she prescribed me protopic but it burned my face and severely intensified the itching so I assumed that I shouldn't use it. I have tried protopic, benzyl peroxide, benadryl cream, and hydroxyzine to control it but it is not working.
Avatar f tn Is anyone elses face super sensitive? My make up brings out a rash and now my face is red and kinda rashy and i dont know what from.
Avatar f tn Pardon? Please explain, I don't understand the link between a dark rash on my face and parasites. How would I get these diagnosed? How would they be treated? What part of my question made you think of parasites? Thanks for thinking outside the box, even if you shocked me!
Avatar f tn Hello good evening, I have a question I recently developed a rash that is red and spreading on my left side of my face. The rash started with 2 bumps on the left side of my face and started spreading down. It looks as if I have cystic acne but I’m sure it’s not acne, I never had acne in my teen years. And this sort of developed after going to Sephora and letting a makeup artist try on a foundation on my face. I had never had this type of issue though? Could it had been the make up I tryed on ?
Avatar n tn My wife developed this red rash on her on her face mostly on her cheeks and nose about six to eight months ago. At first we thought it was acne but no acne treatment helped. Our dermatologist doesn't know what it is. It happened about the same time she had her ears pierced. The backs of her ears have been swollen and red and she has a rash down the side of her neck starting from the base of her ears. She also says that her neck is itchy.
509215 tn?1363535823 hi iv just recentily returned form a sun holidays, last year was my 1st time on a sun holiday i broke out in a rash, my skin went red and itchy, my eyes were sore, red and itchy and i burn very easily so this year i was given heat rash tablets by my gp. Avatar f tn I tried using xout from proactive I used it one time for like two days and my face got even worse so I stoped :/
Avatar f tn Then next morning it was a full blown reaction, swollen eyes, rash all over my eyes and face. I was told to take Benadryl, it didn’t work. I go to another doctor and receive oral prednisone pills. They work beautifully, my skin is back so I wear mascara then I take it off at the end of the night with my makeup wipes. Next morning BOOM again allergic reaction, swollen eyes and rash. The common denominator was the makeup wipes so I throw them out and see the doctor again.
Avatar n tn I had an infected sebaceous cyst on my left cheek, just below my eye, caused by a pimple. The doctor drained it but it returned. A month later, I went to the hospital to get the infection surgically removed. After the wound had completely healed, I wore makeup on it to cover the redness. wearing makeup on it made no difference at all. Overall, i would say it is completely fine to wear makeup on it, if there is no 'opening' for the makeup to cause infection.
Avatar f tn i have a serious amount of bumps on my face like a rash what do i put on the rash?
Avatar n tn After exfoliating and doing the same routine with face products and makeup the rash did not seem to go away, furthermore it began to spread... slowly but spread! Now it is basically all across my forehead, oh the corner of my mouth, and below my lip/chin area. It has never spread to my cheeks! The rash seems to be a cycle starting with small blistery bumps that are definitely blistery not a pimple as there is nothing inside them, then turn to scabish dry patches.
Avatar m tn However, from the description given by you, it seems you might be having an autoimmune skin condition called Discoid lupus erythematosus, that causes a red, raised rash on the face and scalp. Around 1–5% of these cases develop into Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In discoid lupus, only the skin is typically involved. The rash is usually red and may have raised borders. It is usually painless and does not itch.
1414174 tn?1304680526 Have you tried putting lots of lotion on your face? Most people get very dry skin while on tx, and since the skin on the face is more fragile than the rest of your body, it may react more drastically to the lack of body oil.
Avatar n tn I get dry skin in the winter and usually do not have trouble using moisturizer for this problem (I usually do not use it on my face). At the end of last week I used some on my face (approx 8-10 times) and I started breaking out with a red, rough, burning rash over the weekend and it seems to be getting worse this week. How can I get rid of this? I am going on vacation next week and I am really wanting to get rid of it by then. Thank you very much and have a good day.
Avatar n tn Then apply your makeup four days at a time to make sure that your makeup is not causing the rash. I recommend that you visit your local dermatologist for the correct topical medication to resolve you skin problem.
Avatar f tn This could an allergic reaction, acne, eczema... Have you had allergy testing done? Have you ever let your face breathe? What I mean by that is, have you ever gone a week without wearing makeup? Makeup is the worst thing in the world for acne. It is also the main culprit in allergic reactions on the face. Ask any actress...they'll be the first to tell you how bad their acne is from the makeup that they have to wear...so they plaster even more on to hide it...sad but true.
Avatar n tn Take some antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms persist then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist/ allergist as oral and topical steroids may be needed. I sincerely hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you’ve any additional doubts.
Avatar f tn t know if the thing on my face is a result of the face mask or not, but i figured I would mention, since it happened around the same time. anyways, it started to heal, but then a small red spot that I thought was a zit showed up on my face where one of the "burns" was... it got really itchy and after I itched it it turned into a red rash. I stopped itching it. it then turned into a rough, thich, red, itchy, raised rash about the size of a dime.
Avatar f tn Even Neutrogena products for sunscreens are there. You can choose any of them and before applying it on your face, please apply it on the inside of your arm for 2-3 days and not for any erythema or redness. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Did you try a new makeup or cleansing product on your face? Is it broke out in a rash or acne? Acne is not uncommon in pregnancy due to all the hormone changes. If it's a rash I would check with your doctor or midwife.
