2085202 tn?1373199740 Thank you very much for your post. Thank you for your knowledge and wow what kind of enzymes are these and where does one buy them? That sounds very promising. Thank you very much! :) Wishing the best and happiness for you with anything and everything.
Avatar n tn The difference is the dosages. OTC is 75mg and 150 mg; Rx is 300 mg. You can always check with your pharmacist as well.
Avatar n tn I am taking the drug to reduce the acid effect to the stomach lining which has been a concern lately. I am certain that the missing heart beats are caused by the drug but the doctors are reluctant to accept it. I am not sure if I could replace Ranitidine with another drug to do the same job.
520191 tn?1355635402 Wow...that's awful! While I never had a reaction like Freddie's....I do believe Ranitidine made me persistently nauseous for an entire year straight. I've had GERD, a hiatal hernia and stomach problems for years. After a long stint with Nexium, I decided to get on a non-PPI and something more minor. Ranitidine was the suggestion. Though I've always struggled with nausea here and there....for a year of my life I struggled with nausea constantly. Almost every single day.
Avatar m tn A month and a week ago (March 3rd) I took alka seltzer but I took it without water by mistake. I started with a burning stomach and pain when passing food. I went to the ER that weekend and the doctor gave me Pepcid because he thought I had Gastritis. It helped a bit but my abdominal pain, bloating, heartburn, food feeling stuck at night, and belching continued.
Avatar f tn ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
Avatar n tn I've taken Ranitidine sporadically for years, and have never associated it with arrhythmia. However, the perhaps reason you're taking Ranitidine, namely GERD has been associated with arrhythmia. Interestingly, the day I cut as many carbohydrates from my diet as I could was the last day I needed to take Ranitidine.
Avatar f tn Some studies have linked EBV with Hashimoto's, but there's nothing conclusive. Some doctors have felt that Fibromyalgia is, basically, un or under-treated hypothyroidism, since Fibro and hypothyroidism share many symptoms and many/most of the symptoms go away if the patient is treated adequately with thyroid hormones.
Avatar m tn So the news broke last month that Zantac has high amounts of ndma in it. Ndma is used in lab rats to induce cancer. How are they giving this stuff to millions of people for 40 years and just now finding it out? Surely the makers knew from day 1 that it could convert to ndma? I took this for several months and took 24 pills of it for gastritis like symptoms. I also have mental health issues.
Avatar n tn The Nexium he is taking is giving him awful cramps (proven by discontinuing the Nexium). Can ranitidine be used safely with a damaged liver?
Avatar f tn I first refused but then got desperate. It was horrible a first but it did the job and I got used to the taste. I tried stopping the ranitidine but it was a bad experiment. Together the two do me fine. barb64 http://www.*************.
Avatar f tn I don't have it, but my husband is a long time sufferer. Sleep with your head elevated, eat 5-6 small meals, alternate liquids and solids, drink a glass of milk, use Tums, don't eat within 1-2 hours of bed. If it continues, tally with your doc or midwife about prescription antacid.
Avatar f tn When you can't sleep from the withdrawals, I've been told that Trazadone is a good choice for sleep because it isn't a controlled substance, etc. What is the story with this medication?
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to take pepcid AC and that helps so much I can actually sleep at night without puking and it is safe to take.
Avatar f tn i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.
Avatar n tn If still you are not responding reevaluation is needed and 24 hours pH monitoring test may be done for confirmation. Sometimes it could be due to bile reflux and the treatment is different. If acid reflux is confirmed and not responding to medical therapy then surgery might have to be done. I would also suggest that esophageal manometry be done to rule out esophageal spasms which can cause similar symptoms.
1518347 tn?1290837751 I have found it best for me to stay away from Ranitidine. It can give some temporary relief, but taking more than one day makes the problem worse. The sub-sternal rib-cage pain is a classic syptom of GERD.
Avatar m tn When I lie down it triggers cough and during night this process is frequent. And it is there throughout the year.phlegm is present in my throat most of the time. Ialso experience burning sensation and pungent burping after eating food. I get immediate temporary relief when I take warm water. This problem accentuates during night time, during digestion time( two to three hrs after meals ) also triggers when exposed to smoke/dust/paint smells/incense sticks.
Avatar n tn I came across some soma and really do not know what it is for. is it a narcotic? is it addictive?
