I get nauses on and off, the back of my throat has been red for a couple months, I have a white coating in back of tounge, inflamed red taste buds and post nasal drip.
Ladies i feel your pain heart burn is no joke and it just *****. I would sometimes throw up too from a combo of acid reflux and heart burn. Told my doc and she prescribed me Ranitidine to take 2x s day. It totally helped! i noticed it works better if u take it before u eat. Ask your doc about it and if u gwt it hopefully it will help u like it helped me.
About 6-8 months ago I started having a lot of nausea especially after eating, acid reflux taste in my mouth, and this has progressed to epigastric stomach pain as well. My GI doc has me on Omeprazole, Ranitidine, and Amitriptaline. I have tried natural supplements as well. Now I am back having more testing completed to see if this is reflux or something else. Can they do a 4th Nissen if it is reflux? Nervous about my options. Any info/help is appreciated

My consultant has taken me off omeprazole and replaced it with ranitidine due to the fact that my magnesium is low, and is making my calcium low too. Has anyone else had experience of this change, and if so, how has your body reacted to it.
My Dr gave me Ranitidine. It is cheap, and works wayyy better than any non prescription aids.
My acid reflux was horrible, and I wish that I had asked months before. Talk to your Dr. It is really a life saver! Feel better soon!

A detailed evaluation may be necessary for determining the correct cause of your symptoms. Heartburn, a bitter or sour taste at the back of the throat are common symptoms of GERD. If one experiences heartburn two or more times per week it raises the suspicion of GERD. A complete history and tests like endoscopy will confirm the diagnosis. In mild gastritis over-the-counter antacids can help in neutralizing stomach acid and can provide fast pain relief.
It is more so evident when I am working nights. There is a rare reflux coming up to mouth, no food, only acid taste. It is not there after breakfast and lunch (maybe rarely). But it is certainly almost on a daily basis when I stay awake late night. Any suggestion how I could avoid this?
I do have belching more often than flatus.

Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.
A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.
I am suffering from a form of reflux which I am told is caused by a nerve believed to be in my stomach, I can only drink water as anything else triggers more acid.I take 300mg ranitidine and 20 mg nortriptyline the former for acid the the nortriptyline to try and numb the nerve.I was discharged from the hospital in 2004 and have carried on with this problem which no one else seems to know anything about.
Apple cider vinegar (one tablespoon), add honey to taste and add about 4-6 oz water. Slam it =) it helps immediately. It's disgusting, but it helps. Make sure it's an all natural Apple cider vinegar that is pure.

In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.
I know this isn't the most pleasant taste but it works. Apple cider vinegar. The real stuff with "the mother". Take a shot of it.
So it's 4:45 am here in ga and I'm 31+1 and I jUst woke up choking on what tastes like throw up??i was sleeping and all of a sudden I wake up coughing until I was gagging and all I taste is puke and it's burning my throat..what the crap just happened?i went and drank a couple gulps of milk but I still feel a burping sensation like I have to but it's not actually a burp just feels like air or something coming about half way up my chest and throat?...please help ladies..

Please help. I’m on ranitidine 300 2x’s day. This has been months daily worse. Thought I had kidney stone. Ck’d no Stones. Pain under rib. Pain is from under left rib to kidney. I am gassed up, with loose stool. I have slimy discharge anally. I’m wondering if it’s the ranitidine causing. Urologist has no clue. Reg Dr wants me to have colonoscopy. What is is, what do I do. I might go to area Hosp. ER tomorrow. Tied of constant pain. Father had cancers. My PSA was high recently. Please help.
ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
