Avatar f tn A friend of mine has a very bad wound on her lower leg. She is in a nursing home where they just decided to treat her wound in a bathtub with A-33 cleaner added to the water. Is this a usual (and/or) acceptable practice for wound care treatment? I thought you were suppose to go to great lenghts to keep A-33 off of your skin. Avatar n tn A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.
5263096 tn?1374273724 Do any of you watch the TV show on A&E called Intervention? I was watching it for a bit because it's about addiction and I thought it would be educational. Although it's very entertaining and I do like the show I have found it kinda makes me crave pills. I have no idea why because it's not like they glorify addiction by any means on the show. Have any of you watched it and felt that way?
1830012 tn?1336520993 As i watch the show Intervention it so means more now after being sober. I've always wanted the best for those on the show but now i'am screaming to my tv "yes go u *******" no matter what the addiction is. My addiction has been to hydro & even though 4 weeks ago i would of said " it hasn't changed me ( my 8-10 of 10mg a day) i truly didn't know how much it did until now after being sober 25 days.
781991 tn?1237964779 E every Monday night (check your local listings) called Intervention. They show 2 every Monday. Usually an old one and a new one. It sheds light on certain people's addictions. Basically they find someone with an addiction problem. It could be anything.....pills...alcohol....herion...crystal meth...cocaine....eating disorders and I've even seen compulsive gamblers. No matter the addiction, it really hits home and if you've watched it you would know what I mean.
Avatar n tn I am fairly certain that my daughter is using oxycontin, maybe other stuff. I will have her back home next week. This is the plan we and other of the extended family are considering & I'd like your feed back. Have the family members get together with her for an intervention - (cept all I know is what they do on TV), i.e. basically telling her with our arms around her that we all KNOW but only after we have in place a place for her to go for rehab, if she chooses.
Avatar f tn I watched an episode of intervention the other night and the guy was clean from presciption pain pills. He said that the Dr. told him after being on them for awhile, your brain will not communicate with your lungs and you can just stop breathing at anytime, I did not know about this, is it true?
Avatar m tn Anyone watching Intervention on A&E now? You should see it, is about a woman who is addicted to prescribed drugs.
Avatar f tn Help please-- Just found this site----we (family) are going to try to do an intervention tomorrow with a family member. I am afraid of what will happen. She is on Xanax and alcohol. She has alienated her family and is sleeping and drinking her days away. any advice (ASAP) would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I used to CRY when I would watch intervention, because I knew I needed help so bad! you're not alone on that one, during the last few months of my using I would cry ALL the time to my fiance, and my roomate about how badly I needed help and needed to go to rehab. they were supportive of me quitting, but not leaving to go to rehab. They were afraid that everything would fall apart if I left for even 30 days. you know, bills, house responsibilites, and all that!
Avatar f tn Does any body ever tune in to the A&E show called Intervention? It's a tough show to watch but well worth it....
1401949 tn?1296043724 What my question is is how do you do an intervention?? What is the best method and how do I aproach the subject. I know she has to go on her own, but it is out of control and I am trying to figure out a way to push her possibly over the edge? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!
520191 tn?1355635402 Over a year ago i was given ranitidine for the treatment of GERD. I took my first dose and i started to feel nausea so i went to bed, during the night i started vomiting and not like any vomit i had ever experienced before. i thought nothing of it, until my heart began to race through out the night. the next morning i thought i might be allergic to one of my medication as i was prescribed 2 medication all at once.
Avatar f tn Some studies have linked EBV with Hashimoto's, but there's nothing conclusive. Some doctors have felt that Fibromyalgia is, basically, un or under-treated hypothyroidism, since Fibro and hypothyroidism share many symptoms and many/most of the symptoms go away if the patient is treated adequately with thyroid hormones.
15695260 tn?1549593113 Choices for a generic over the counter antacid just got smaller as the drug maker of generic ranitidine under the brand name of Zantac has pulled distribution of the medication world wide. Last week the FDA stated they found cancer causing chemicals in some samples taken from batches of generic rantitidine or Zantac. https://www.fda.
Avatar n tn Today, because of the fact that my employer referred me to a nursing intervention program, and not to the board, I have my nursing license, working steadily and even passing medications. I truly am a different person today and I thank God for it..best to you all along your way.
2006603 tn?1331329327 Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I am 33w4d and yesterday my doc prescribed me 150mg tablets to take twice a day for heartburn. Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I just want to make sure its safe.
Avatar m tn In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.
Avatar f tn The lack of knowledge of natural birth my obstetricians and nursing staff is widespread. They are trained in intervention and simple things like a slow labor are looked at as negatives that need to be intervened when in truth it's natural for some women to labor for days. I'm just giving an example. It's a sad truth.
Avatar f tn t need any special foods or drinks to help. Most women can successfully nurse without intervention. Buy a good nipple cream though.... Don't let those suckers get chapped because that hurts.
Avatar f tn Zantac or the generic ranitidine, my Dr gave me the ok on Monday because everything I eat gives me bad heartburn
