I think I may have LPR. I get nauses on and off, the back of my throat has been red for a couple months, I have a white coating in back of tounge, inflamed red taste buds and post nasal drip.

The recommended treatment is 90 days use of an antiacid of the PPI class, ( Proton Pump Inhibitors ), like Omeprazole, ( Prilosec ), or Pantoprazole, ( Protonix ) for example, at low dose but TWICE a day BEFORE meals. Zantac, ( Ranitidine ) or otherantiacids of its class, ( H2 Blocker ), wont work well in the case of LPR. It is of extreme importance to visit an ENT speciallist to evaluate your throat, specially your vocal cords.

Doctor recently prescribed ranitidine before bedtime as my reflux is worse at night. Could the reflux be the cause for the blood? I get really scared when I see it, I have been really anxious about this and have actually gained weight from the stress.

I have doubt now if I have LPR for real.My symtoms are nausea,belching all day before or after meal,constipation (since I have taken PPI), trouble sleeping because of abdomen pain,I have too much gas in my ab causeing pain 24/7.First ENT dianosed me with laryngitis+pharyngitis.After I recovered them.I found my throat has been burning and still painful.So i went for 2nd ENT opinion who dianosed me as Laryngopharyngeal Reflux.I tried to change my eating pattern .I got better.

I have been on 40 mg Nexium since 5/2017 for GERD and LPR. I started slowly cutting down November 2017. I am currently on 30 mg Nexium and really struggling. I don’t have heartburn or voice issues again, but I have a dull ache between my shoulder blades. It has gotten worse and worse the more I cut down on the Nexium. Sometimes it is almost debillitating and I feel scared of esophagus issues. Sometimes the pain goes up to my neck and down my back.

She diagnosed me with LPR (which I already suspected) and was prescribed Lanzapropazole (prevacid),Ranitidine, and Maalox.That didn't work.Made me worse.She prescribed other things that made me worse again. I finally, through searching out forums such as this one discovered that people were having good results with apple cider vinegar (Bragg's) and water.I decided to add the honey for my sore throat.I could see a definite improvement.

I have been using PPI medication Omeprazole until early this year where I got switched to Lansoprazole which I also got diagnosed with silent reflux (LPR) due to loosing my voice. I also take Gaviscon Advanced 3-4 times a day for the acid and heartburn. My lifestyle changed due to these diagnoses I eat more healthily and exercise more to try and keep the weight healthy. I am to have my three year check up due to the Barrett's of the Oesophagus.

ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?

s not just something that makes LPR get worse but perhaps it is the culprit! Do all of you LPR sufferers have stress/anxiety problems? I think it has something to do with the short breaths making the diaphragm tense plus all of the other tension and also indigestion all combined from stress/anxiety.

Hi Guys I have significant LPR reflux after taking a long course of Antibiotics for my Prostate problems. I have a lot of swelling sensation/feeling in my throat and stiffness in my neck, is this normal? I also had mild oral thrush and the ENT doc Harley street London says it’s quite common to come together but I dunno, the thrush has subsided a bit but he gave me Omeprazole but it messed up my stomach, so I stopped after a month, is LPR a chronic condition?

Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.

A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.

I am suffering from laryngiopharyngeal reflux (LPR) disease since 2 months. I had unprotected sex with a partner having unknown hiv status. It happened almost 8 months back. I can't face hiv test and it gives me lot of stress. I don't have other symptoms. Is it LPR only?

Over a year ago i was given ranitidine for the treatment of GERD. I took my first dose and i started to feel nausea so i went to bed, during the night i started vomiting and not like any vomit i had ever experienced before. i thought nothing of it, until my heart began to race through out the night. the next morning i thought i might be allergic to one of my medication as i was prescribed 2 medication all at once.

It is very possible that what u r dealing with is GERD ....LPR has all the same symptoms and u have to treat it the same....u may want to try to avoid foods they trigger ur symptoms, so keep a journal so u know which of the "typical" foods affect u, and there are ways to modify ur lifestyle as well as ur diet...like no eating b4 u lay down for at least 3 to 4 hours...elevate the head of ur bed....no tight clothes....
