Avatar f tn ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
520191 tn?1355635402 Over a year ago i was given ranitidine for the treatment of GERD. I took my first dose and i started to feel nausea so i went to bed, during the night i started vomiting and not like any vomit i had ever experienced before. i thought nothing of it, until my heart began to race through out the night. the next morning i thought i might be allergic to one of my medication as i was prescribed 2 medication all at once.
Avatar n tn Nothing works, have tried omeprazole, famotidine, reglan, antacids, ranitidine, and others. My lower throat feels like it cramps and I can't breathe, then the blood and oxygen rushing to deal with that makes my heart start pounding. I am wondering: is there anything I can suggest to my doctors to look at next, or another drug I can try since the only thing that gives me relief is sublingual nitroglycerin and I go through 100 of those a month ? Thanks for ANY suggestions, I am desperate.
312330 tn?1245176752 t do anything for me. Other than the temazepm, I currently take Adderall, Zyrtec and Ranitidine. I never take my last dose of Adderall later than 5pm. I would appreciate any advice.
Avatar f tn d do it after every feed) we took her to the hospital and in the end we had to put infant gaviscon in every bottle, but it worked a treat! (: and never bothered her after that!
Avatar f tn Talk to your dr about adding an H2 blocker like ranitidine (Zantac) taken at bed time. I also will take some Rolaids if I know I have broken one of the above rules or I am having breatk through. Maybe seeing a gastro-interologist would be a good idea at this point. It sounds like you should have a scope done to screen for barretts esophagus and hiatel hernia and a few other things. I hope you get some help and relief.
Avatar n tn PLEASE help. My question is do you think my child's liver, kidney, or heart could be damaged? How would I know? Here is the story: Greyson had a 102 fever for four days straight with no other symptoms while we were on vacation. I called the Dr.'s office in Florida and the receptionist who answered the phone just said to give him tylenol. That is what I had been doing-it would relieve the fever for just a bit but it would shoot right back to 102 as soon as it wore off.

Avatar n tn A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.
Avatar n tn The Nexium he is taking is giving him awful cramps (proven by discontinuing the Nexium). Can ranitidine be used safely with a damaged liver?
Avatar f tn Hi It is normal for a baby at his age to keep crying like that. He really dose slow done crying into five months. It nothing your doing wrong. I you seen Dr and they he's not sick. Then he's doing what baby's do. It's OK to lay him on his back in the crib. And go do something for five min. It's better for you put the baby down a take breaks. So dosent stress you out to much.
Avatar f tn Some studies have linked EBV with Hashimoto's, but there's nothing conclusive. Some doctors have felt that Fibromyalgia is, basically, un or under-treated hypothyroidism, since Fibro and hypothyroidism share many symptoms and many/most of the symptoms go away if the patient is treated adequately with thyroid hormones.
Avatar n tn Thank you so much for taking the trouble to reply to me, it was decaffeinated coffee but it has really upset everything. The Ranitidine is an acid suppressor and until I eventually got the high dose of that you can't imagine how I felt. I am in the UK and I first of all attended the national health service clinic for nearly 18 months before I paid privately for a test that proved I was producing this acid and I then got the higher dose of Ranitidine etc.
15695260 tn?1549593113 Choices for a generic over the counter antacid just got smaller as the drug maker of generic ranitidine under the brand name of Zantac has pulled distribution of the medication world wide. Last week the FDA stated they found cancer causing chemicals in some samples taken from batches of generic rantitidine or Zantac. https://www.fda.
2006603 tn?1331329327 Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I am 33w4d and yesterday my doc prescribed me 150mg tablets to take twice a day for heartburn. Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I just want to make sure its safe.
Avatar m tn In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.
Avatar f tn ve been getting much worse this past week. Had a lot of nausea going on and got prescribed Zantac (ranitidine). Took my first dose the night before last, was feeling a little better yesterday afternoon, then in the evening I ate a baked sweet potato and felt bloated, crampy, and tight all over my back and abdomen. I was also feeling lightheaded and weak while I was having these feelings.
Avatar f tn While pregnant they diagnosed me with hypothyroid and I took a low dose of thyroxin medication each day. I was induced as I was a week overdue and my son was 8 lbs and perfectly healthy. After my delivery I noticed his arms shook rhythmically when he was crying or upset. I don’t feel this was an injury from birth as I remember while pregnant feeling a few unusual movements inside me in month 7 and 8 that felt like the baby was shaking.
Avatar n tn I am wintering in Mexico and I unfortunately did not do any research on this before giving it to my dog as prescribed by a vet down here. I've now learned that paracetamol is toxic to dogs and I'm very upset. I only gave him one dose of what was prescribed and this was over a week ago and no visible reactions have occurred (yet) but I would like to ask someone's help in figuring out how much he was actually prescribed/given.
Avatar f tn dont give the med in a tablet for an infant, report back to the pharmacist, and explain that you baby is only 15 months old, he should be able to contact the doctor and get the prescription changed, or mabee the prescription was misread, please double check with the pharmacist before giving the Tablets to your baby, good luck. and hope baby will do fine.

Avatar m tn ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
