ranitidine and gas

For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.

I am 26 weeks along and after I eat (doesn't matter how much or little) I get bloated which I know is normal but then it's followed by feeling nauseated is this normal?? Or has anyone had this happen to them??

i did an upper endoscopy and biopsy and just the proffesor doctor told me that i have h, pylori infection. he did not mention gastritis. i need to go to toilet many times during a day and sometimes mucous. bowel runling in addition to the symptoms i mentioned before.

Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.

ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. My son has the milk protein allergy so he is on Similac Alimentum. We give him gas drops and he sleeps in a cradle swing so hes not laying flat on his back. You can layer different types of reflex meds. I take Dexilant 60mg mid afternoon and ranitidine (Zantac - and H2 blocker like Pepcid) at bedtime. I have severe asthma and difficult reflux as well. The reflux exacerbates the asthma so it must be very well controlled. I will also take a calcium-magnesium product like Rolaids for flares or when my diet has not been the best for reflux. I recently doubled my probiotic.

I HAD A REVRSAL THREE MONTHS AGO AND HAVE BEEN VERY GASSY SINCE. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS PROBLEM?

I usually end up vomiting once or twice, and then have some diharreah, but not too bad. I get bloated, and have gas pains between my gentials and belly button. If you press on that area, it really hurts. I also have acid reflux along with this; every time I've vomited, it has been extremely acidic. Lost nearly 40 pounds, and I almost never have an appetite. If you have any ideas what this could be, please let me know.

you could try looking up those drugs online and see what they say about hurting baby. i can tell you that buscopan is a muscle relaxant and that that shouldn't hurt your future baby. i have been on ranitidine, still have some i think. but i had heart palpitations with it. but i am really glad to hear its working for you. because of my experience with it i would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about it. but my main suggestion would be sort things out with your body first.

Now, two years later my gastritis symptoms have come back (heartburn and nausea), and I read somewhere that I can take omeprazole AND ranitidine on the same day (but not the same time) so I've been taking the 20 mg Omeprazole in the am before breakfast and a 75mg ranitidine in the pm before dinner, which has worked quiet well.

Avoid heavy meals and take frequent small ones. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

my husband is experiencing some strange and rather disgusting symptoms. he is 32 years old. Last night he was complaining of stomach upset(MINOR) when he woke up he had developed what I can only describe as mouth gas. VERY smelly belches. also severe diarhea. He says it feels like his stomach keeps building up with air. He has no appetite. any ideas what this may be, and how to get rid of it?

t take that and i took the ranitidine, within 30 min of taking i had more and more problems breathing, i felt like i was suffocating. i rang my doctor as i didn't know what to do and she put me through as she could tell i couldn't breathe even through she couldn't understand me. By the time the ambulance arrived my lips and neck has swollen, i could barely say a word let alone a sentence. i had a rash around my neck and my oxygen saturation was low.

I have reflux and gas and it causes severe sharp pain in my chest that hurts mostly when I lay down. So it sounds somewhat like your problem. I take GasX (maximum daily dose all at once when I get it). I don't have it every day though. I take 150mg Ranitidine (can't think of the common name) daily when I'm having stomach pain. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so. I also noticed when taking TUMS that I only need to take less than one tablet for it to be effective (say about 500 mg /day. Occasionally 750mg). One question I have is would it be better to only take Tums instead - even if I need to use ~500mg each day?

Because of my remote location, a trip to the ENT was very expensive and I declined to go. Eventually it did clear up and heal and go away, and I went on with my life. Fast forward to last week, I've been feeling a bit stressed and noticed my heart burn and IBS acting up a bit. I did basically nothing for it, hoping it would just go away. The post nasal drip / throat clearing and dysphagia started again a few days ago.

i get gas bubbles there as as well yes they are uncomfotable
