5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed? please help me on that, i will be grateful...thank you.
4, the nexrt test was 5 he was okay about it, four weeks ago was put back on high blood pressure tablets but prior to starting them they carried out another Kidney blood test and four weeks later l was told bp down to 134/84 on 5mg ramipril but the blood test four weeks ago was high again and has to be repeated.
I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.
I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. My problem is for about 12 months now I have been prescribed ramipril for my kidneys and high blood pressure, but in the last few months and weeks (it seems to me since crohns has become active) it is making me feel absolutely terrible.
My cardiologist put me on ramipril a few wks back and after 10 days ran blood tests whic came back normal. this morning I woke up with diarriah and some serious kidney pain on the right side.It doesn't hurt when I urinate or have a bowel movement although certain body movements cause it to occur. My question is can this be caused by ramipril along with my lasix and potassium with a delayed reaction or buildup?
Taking Ramipril In morning for several years. Recently started taking Laxido & banana (for breakfast). About the same time started coughing frequently but intermittently & became slightly breathless when walking. 2 days ago doctor called Emergency as I had persistent chest pain & burping. No heart attack but abnormal ecg, which however improved after being in A&E for several hours. Wondering if Ramipril + laxido + banana too much potassium?

This is a loss of 17.5ml/min over 12 months. Every test I looked at, her BUN (22-23), Creatinine (1.3-1.6) and Choloride (112) are elevated.
I suspect it was out-of-control hypertension which caused her kidney function to deteriorate. I measured her BP at 200/110 several occasions over the weekend. She says she was stressed out on weekends. But her resting BP on weekdays was still around 160/100.
Since my high blood pressure just reach 150, I would like to know how I can effectively treat or control the hypertension, medicine, exercise or what else? My weight is 183lb and I never smoke. I have no other disease. Thank you for your answer.
I just started to take ramipril at night and now my bood pressure is elevated in the morning. I used to take it in the morning and my bp was higher in the evening.
I also tale predisilon ,Azithiopring,Ramipril,Aspring.But my Doctor says i have to take this drugs for ever.

I am currently on a weight loss regime to try and lose some weight. My weight is all at my middle and across my back and in my armpit, not my thighs or arms.
I had a CT of the coronary arteries done but they had a hard time getting my heart rate down and during the test it went back up so they could only comment on the left main coronary artery and told me that it was clear. the right side of my heart was blurry due to the heart rate.
That's what we're wondering. The doctors said the ramipril is not just for blood pressure but is also for his weak heart to see if it improves the EF. They've sent him for additional tests and even recommended a higher dose of ramipril despite the fact that his oxygen level was 114 when he did the bicycle test. The doctor kept talking about him being in a state of heart failure which is very unsettling.
I've been taking Metformin for type II Diab for six months. I have been on HCG for weight loss for 2 weeks. When I started HCG, I stopped taking Metformin because my glucose measurement was in great shape (90-110). However, now its a bit more erratic, dipping below 80. Is there a lag between stopping Metf. and the downside of that, just like my Gen Pract family doc told me some time back that Metf takes 30 days of taking before it is fully effective?
I recently got diagnosed with a midly enlarged heart. I'm 35, male, non-smoker, drink moderately, exercise regularly, eat healthily. I had gone to the doctor to complain of back pain between my shoulder blades and he suggested it didn't sound like my heart but out of due diligence I should have a stress echo done. The exercise part of the test was fine - normal response to exercise, as expected because I cycle, had been lifting weights and used to do a lot of kickboxing.
I had to stop taking ramipril 1.25mg after a week due to various side effects. thurs I had severe shaking or chills etc. so stopped it on advice but 4 days later feeling bit better but I keep feeling funny.
its like my head feels funny and the feeling like your lightheaded - going to faint or collapse but not quite and doesn't go away.
I have been taking Atenolol for approx 10 yrs now for an irregular heart rhythm as well as General Anxiety Disorder. i also have MVP and the Atenolol has really worked quite well in keeping my symptoms in check. I started on 25 mg of Atenolol and in Dec. 2008 my Dr. increased it to 50 mgs as I had a couple of episodes of tacchycardia. Since the increase in meds, I have put on approx 15-20 lbs despite being active (recently increased to 30-40 mins of cardio/day).
