I also tale predisilon ,Azithiopring,Ramipril,Aspring.But my Doctor says i have to take this drugs for ever. Now they stopped predisilon . can't be HSP cure?

I just started to take ramipril at night and now my bood pressure is elevated in the morning. I used to take it in the morning and my bp was higher in the evening.

hello, my dad is a diabetic (type2), since last year, hes 46 yrs old, hes on metmorfin, the same last year he was also prescribed ramipril 2.5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed?

I am confused by the drug RAMIPRIL. The leaflet in box and details in British Formulary list WEIGHT LOSS as a side effect (I have lost 6 kilos). On the Internet there are many letters regarding weight gain but nothing about weeight loss. Why is this?

I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.

That's what we're wondering. The doctors said the ramipril is not just for blood pressure but is also for his weak heart to see if it improves the EF. They've sent him for additional tests and even recommended a higher dose of ramipril despite the fact that his oxygen level was 114 when he did the bicycle test. doctor prescribed some medicines which includes baclofen, ramipril, clopidogrel,amolodipine , atenolol, atorvastatin and escitolopram. after taking medicines her pulse rate has gone to 45-50 range and blood pressure is still 160/120. I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. Taking Ramipril In morning for several years. Recently started taking Laxido & banana (for breakfast). About the same time started coughing frequently but intermittently & became slightly breathless when walking. 2 days ago doctor called Emergency as I had persistent chest pain & burping. Thank you so much for your reply. I used to take a diuretic as well in the past, but I stopped taking it when I started to have bladder leakage. Maybe I need to give it another try. I got my BP down two years ago, prior to my work place accident. I changed my diet....which I still do as it is a life change not a diet....and I lost 10 kilos. I was off work for a few months from my accident and I am now only doing three half days a week.

ve been on this medication dosage for about a month now. I startedout on the2.5mg about in may. Just wondering if with the increase that im feeling this way and with the twiching now is normal with taking thos drug.

Hello, Your blood pressure is obviously high but you have started with the lifestyle modification with exercise and dietary changes. Moreover ACE inhibitor drugs like Ramipril is a good antihypertensive and should lower the blood pressure. However ensure that you take this drug regularly as prescribed and get your blood pressure monitored at regular intervals.

It is pretty soon for restenosis and likely the mechanism is thrombus in the drug eluting stent. The tirofiban can help eliminate the clot. I think your dad should be on triple antiplatelet therapy with aspirin,plavix and clilostazol.
