hello, my dad is a diabetic (type2), since last year, hes 46 yrs old, hes on metmorfin, the same last year he was also prescribed ramipril 2.5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed?
4, the nexrt test was 5 he was okay about it, four weeks ago was put back on high blood pressure tablets but prior to starting them they carried out another Kidney blood test and four weeks later l was told bp down to 134/84 on 5mg ramipril but the blood test four weeks ago was high again and has to be repeated.

I used to have a slight reaction to Clopidogrel. My skin would itch bad meaning I had to take Piriton. When I came off Clopidogrel after a year, the half life is around 8 hours. My dosage was 75mg daily, meaning after 48 hours I would still have around a mg in my body. The itching continued for about 2 weeks after. I was also put onto ace inhibitors (Ramipril), and they didn't cause any problems the first time.
Your 30% blockages are nothing in reality. Coronary arteries are much wider than they need to be for supplying the heart (even though they are tiny) and there is a huge reserve. If you had blockages of 50% then I doubt if you would even realise it. Besides, the 30% is on the right side which does a lot less work than the left.

I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. these tablets are not for bp any way there for water balance, she must take ace inhibtors in kidney disease, ramipril is a good one, renal diet is essential, low salt low spice low potassium low fat, LOW PROTEIN, less oil, currys must be watery not spicy, i would limit protein to 40 grm a day or less, go and see a nephrologist, search the net for a good one,
I've had sex once and I've noticed that a couple weeks ago after I've had sex I started noticing these things appearing on my penis. I'm uncircumsized and when you roll down the foreskin its right under the frenulum. Thats the only part they are at. They seem to be like dots of skin and they arn't big or anything. It is just one day after my mom skipped Ramipril, and still continue to have the cough.
The doctor was saying the cough will not stop immediately after stopping the Ramipril, will take at least a week to reduce. Is it correct?
