Can anyone tell me if their are any side effects from taking Levothyroxine,i am on ...50 MICROGRAMS, per day,,,18mths ago i started with Excema,,i also have a cough now and then sometimes i wake up at night coughing ,,I am also taken 5MG Ramipril per day ............Could it be the Ramipril ?????

I am confused by the drug RAMIPRIL. The leaflet in box and details in British Formulary list WEIGHT LOSS as a side effect (I have lost 6 kilos). On the Internet there are many letters regarding weight gain but nothing about weeight loss. Why is this?

Ramipril is very capable of causing serious side effects including raising bp. It raised mine by over 80 points. The side effects of this drug can happen immediately or after a long period. Also I would question it's use in kidney disorders of any kind as it can damage kidneys and cause stenosis. Check out as much as you can about safer alternatives. I had to stop taking ramipril 1.25mg after a week due to various side effects. thurs I had severe shaking or chills etc. so stopped it on advice but 4 days later feeling bit better but I keep feeling funny. its like my head feels funny and the feeling like your lightheaded - going to faint or collapse but not quite and doesn't go away.

I have metabolic syndrome and most of the aspects of it are under reasonable control with meds except my BP. doctor prescribed some medicines which includes baclofen, ramipril, clopidogrel,amolodipine , atenolol, atorvastatin and escitolopram. after taking medicines her pulse rate has gone to 45-50 range and blood pressure is still 160/120. I went online and confirmed Indeed Maxzide and 99% of all dieretics have the nice side effect of Gout ! one site said its very rare to happen. but the more I talk to people who were on dieretics for a long period of time. the more that had it! interesting !!! With your BP still being high, I'd check with the doctor. What medication did they start you on?

I just started to take ramipril at night and now my bood pressure is elevated in the morning. I used to take it in the morning and my bp was higher in the evening.

After a long period of trying different combinations of medications I am now on 10mg of Ramipril twice daily which has not caused me any bad side effects, not even limp **** syndrome, and it keeps my BP at 120/80 like clockwork. Not all medications work the same for everybody but this is my saving grace. I understand Ramipril has a beneficial side effect of strengthening the interior walls of veins and arteries as well.
