ramipril side effects dry cough

Can anyone tell me if their are any side effects from taking Levothyroxine,i am on ...50 MICROGRAMS, per day,,,18mths ago i started with Excema,,i also have a cough now and then sometimes i wake up at night coughing ,,I am also taken 5MG Ramipril per day ............Could it be the Ramipril ?????

i have an occasional cough...the DR says it is caused by Ramipril but cant change my med because im been treated for Excema which i've had now for 18 mths..

I had to stop taking ramipril 1.25mg after a week due to various side effects. thurs I had severe shaking or chills etc. so stopped it on advice but 4 days later feeling bit better but I keep feeling funny. its like my head feels funny and the feeling like your lightheaded - going to faint or collapse but not quite and doesn't go away.

Years ago I had a dry cough due to heart failure, but it usually happened at night while in an inclined position. There were other symptoms that included faster than normal heart rate and shortness of breath. Thanks for sharing and if there are any followup questions you are welcome to ask.

I am confused by the drug RAMIPRIL. The leaflet in box and details in British Formulary list WEIGHT LOSS as a side effect (I have lost 6 kilos). On the Internet there are many letters regarding weight gain but nothing about weeight loss. Why is this?

You have mentioned the biggest part of recovery takes place between 6-3 months. After the HA she had, last week was the first time we took the echo, which is precisely 3 months and 2 weeks after the HA, with an increase of 2%. Is it too early to predict by looking at this measure? I heard the ejection rate anything greater than or equal to 50% is good.

About 3 years ago I was diagnosed with hyper-tension. My Dr. put me on Lisinopril. Late last year (2014), I developed a dry hacking cough. My Doctor & I concluded that it must've been the Lisinopril. Then, I was put on Losartan. Within 2 1/2 months my muscles started to ache which led to problems sleeping. My legs ( calves & hamstrings) would get very tight & I would need to constantly stretch. Has anybody using Losartan experienced these side effects??

Ramipril is very capable of causing serious side effects including raising bp. It raised mine by over 80 points. The side effects of this drug can happen immediately or after a long period. Also I would question it's use in kidney disorders of any kind as it can damage kidneys and cause stenosis. Check out as much as you can about safer alternatives. As is common these days many GPs are unaware of the potential for damage that these drugs have.

My mother is 66 and has had a persistent dry chronic cough for almost 10 years. She has shortness of breath and is unable to take deep breaths without it causing a coughing fit. The doctors have given her bronchodilators and allergy medication and her condition does not get any better. They now insist that its acid reflux. However, the medication does not help. She sometimes has a low grade fever and her body is super achy from all the coughing.

I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. My mother just had her 1st shot of Lucentis. She has a small leak. She is also on Glaucoma eye drops. She is experiencing extreme fatigue and she said her thoughts/memory seem fuzzy. Have you been seizure free since you are on dilantin? His seizures were so violent (he broke a bone in his back caused by the seizure) that it really scares me. He has been fine now but I am the one listening to every noise and not being able to relax.

Your cough could come from your medication you are taking,side effects. Look up what kind of side effects could come your medication or drug interaction. Lisonopril does it for me and my freind. Good luck.

5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed? please help me on that, i will be grateful...thank you.

Then, on the fourth day, it all returned with a vengeance. Sore throat, dry cough, white coated tongue, and since then has only gotten worse. I stopped the Zantac after about 12 days and on that day my neck started to ache like crazy. The day after I was in pain and had a bad sore throat, still dry coughing. Is this a side effect of the Zantac? Or is this a sign my throat is healing from never having taken this kind of medicine before?

I have tried to find the side effects for all these medicines and the one that seems to bring on rashes is LAXIX - does anyone else have symptoms from any of these medications? and is it likely that it is the LAXIX that is doing this or something else.
