altace

1020296 tn?1251475359 that is quite a high dosage of beta blocker and is likely to give the low pulse. Is the cardiologist aware of this pulse? The blood pressure medication is quite low and could be increased. Ask the Cardiologist if the beta blocker should be reduced and the Ramipril increased.
Avatar f tn My doctor just prescribed Ramipril 2.5 mg yesterday because my Microalbumin/Creatinine is 39, which is out of range (reference range is < 30 mcg/mg creatinine I took one cap last night and this morning I felt tired and a little dizzy and I skipped my morning work out. I called my doctor office to ask him, but it's closed. Would you please give me some advice about this medication?
Avatar n tn I am taking 2x12.5 mg coreg (carvidilol) for last three years and was able to tolerate it. Now, after three years, for last one month, I am having low bp. Down to 95/65 from normal of 110/70. This is creating problems for me. I feel tired, stomach upset and dizziness, necessity to clear my throat constantly. Over last 3 yesrs I have gradually reduced my ramipril (ACE-I) dosage from 2x6.25 to 2x1.25. So I am already low on ramipril. I cannot go down further on ACE-I. My EF is 30-35%.
Avatar n tn Hi guys, Patient is 19 years old teen boy, diagnosed with PSVT and moderate hypertension, currently on Propafenon tbl a 150 mg 3x1, Bisoprolol tbl a 5mg 1+0+1/2, Ramipril tbl a 5 mg 1x1, He's having his "attacks" almost everyday, he's on waitlist for heart ablation procedure, What can be seen on this ECG https://postimg.org/image/jhsjqa7ev/ Tnx everybody.
Avatar f tn Have you checked in with your eye MD?
Avatar f tn That's what we're wondering. The doctors said the ramipril is not just for blood pressure but is also for his weak heart to see if it improves the EF. They've sent him for additional tests and even recommended a higher dose of ramipril despite the fact that his oxygen level was 114 when he did the bicycle test. The doctor kept talking about him being in a state of heart failure which is very unsettling.
Avatar f tn Hello I have been diagnosed with LVH on echo and cardiologist said its ok and I am now on ramipril 1.25 mg. I have seen that ecg with inverted t waves and st-t but the doctors are brushing that away and saying to forget that. I am quite anxious and cannot trust.
Avatar m tn my wife age 39 having diluted cardiomayopathy no symptoms of short breath, swelling, pain etc. docter says unknon cause. now treatment is carvedilol 12.5 mg twice. ramipril 2.5 mg once. spiromide 20mg once. loprin 75 mg once. q10 enzyme 50mg once. Is it a good treatment for the patient.
Avatar n tn Initially in 2007, after my MI, I was put on 2x18.75 mg betablocker (carvidilol) and 2x6.25 mg ACE-I (ramipril) which was very high dose for me (resulting in fatigue, tiredness) but insisted upon by my cardiologist. This resulted in one evening my BP falling very low, pulse racing and syncope. The vaso-vagal was wrongly diagnosed as VT and implantation of ICD in 2008. I changed my cardiologis after that and was brought to lower dose of beta blocker 2x12.5 mg and ACE-I 1x5 mg daily.

Avatar f tn I am confused by the drug RAMIPRIL. The leaflet in box and details in British Formulary list WEIGHT LOSS as a side effect (I have lost 6 kilos). On the Internet there are many letters regarding weight gain but nothing about weeight loss. Why is this?
Avatar f tn I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.
544430 tn?1283712658 I am not familiar with Ramipril, so, unfortunately, can't speak to that. I've read posts here where people take a specific type of levothyroxine and have side effects from the dyes in the pill, so that's a possibility. However, I think further work up is probably warranted.
Avatar m tn In September I had a single, unprecedented, episode of atrial fibrillation. Calcium channel blocker brought me out of it just before I was zapped. Follow up showed fairly severe high blood pressure (eg, 170/90). Now I'm taking Atenolol (50mg) and Ramipril (5 mg), which have moderated the HBP but it is still quite variable and ranges much higher than desirable. Subsequent stress test was stopped early, at the appearance of depressed ST segments.
Avatar f tn I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. My problem is for about 12 months now I have been prescribed ramipril for my kidneys and high blood pressure, but in the last few months and weeks (it seems to me since crohns has become active) it is making me feel absolutely terrible.
Avatar f tn My cardiologist put me on ramipril a few wks back and after 10 days ran blood tests whic came back normal. this morning I woke up with diarriah and some serious kidney pain on the right side.It doesn't hurt when I urinate or have a bowel movement although certain body movements cause it to occur. My question is can this be caused by ramipril along with my lasix and potassium with a delayed reaction or buildup?
Avatar m tn Taking Ramipril In morning for several years. Recently started taking Laxido & banana (for breakfast). About the same time started coughing frequently but intermittently & became slightly breathless when walking. 2 days ago doctor called Emergency as I had persistent chest pain & burping. No heart attack but abnormal ecg, which however improved after being in A&E for several hours. Wondering if Ramipril + laxido + banana too much potassium?
Avatar m tn Thank you jrbon. Yes, we are completely aware the part/size of damage of the heart muscle will have the impact on the LVEF. You have mentioned the biggest part of recovery takes place between 6-3 months. After the HA she had, last week was the first time we took the echo, which is precisely 3 months and 2 weeks after the HA, with an increase of 2%. Is it too early to predict by looking at this measure? I heard the ejection rate anything greater than or equal to 50% is good.
Avatar m tn So, my cardio took me off of the 10 mg ramipril I was taking and put me on 12.5 mg of metoprolol twice a day and in addition to my 12.5 of HCTZ. However, after a week of feeling exhausted, having a resting heart rate consistently in the low 50s, and not much higher otherwise, I complained during my follow up. My cardio gave me some samples of 10 mg coreg to take once a day and a prescription to fill if the side effects from the metoprolol do not get any better.
907968 tn?1292622204 After a couple weeks, my body got used to it so that was doubled, and doubled again until I was taking 50 mg daily. That proved to be too much so my dose is now 25 mg daily. The same procedure is usually followed with ACE and Calcium blockers. Frequent blood tests are important of course, as are EF tests when applicaable. Ed's post is really interesting, this could be a study with huge ramifications.
544430 tn?1283712658 i am taken 5mg of ramipril and 50micrograms thyroxine,daily..... i have an occasional cough...the DR says it is caused by Ramipril but cant change my med because im been treated for Excema which i've had now for 18 mths..
Avatar m tn There are better ways to aim at blood pressure when there is no issue with the heart, such as a good ace inhibitor like Ramipril. 5mg of Ramipril sorted out my BP because the Bisoprolol didn't affect it, unless I was overdosed. I think you are wise to question the decision. What have they decided is your average blood pressure during the day?
Avatar m tn Ramipril 5 mg once daily (Altace) Simvastatin 20 mg Once daily (Zocor) Metoprolol Succ er 50 mg tasan Once daily (Toprol) Ecotrin 81 mg Once daily (ASPIRIN) I additionally take Centrum Vitamins Of late I have observed that I am lacking general focus and concentration (like my brain goes to sleep). I feel mental tiredness. I have to tell my brain to be alert when I make mistakes counting money bills etc. I have a suspicion that this is due to the side effect of one or more of the above drugs.
Avatar f tn After 2 days I came home with prescriptions of Clopidogrel 75mg, Metoprololtartrate 50mg, Acetylsalycylic Acid 75 mg. and Simvastatin 40mg. My Total cholesterol was 5.3 mmol/L on the next day. Since then I never felt well. Next day I noticed a very big blue blood mark below my right arm to the half of my right breast.( Angio was done from the rt. wrist.) All the blood seemed to come to my head and face. Again went to hospital emergency. They said it will go away in a few weeks.
