Avatar f tn Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 10 to 15 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

Avatar m tn Most commonly protein in urine appears with kidney diseases like nephropathy and damage to the kidney. If the quantity is more you certainly need a nephrologist's opinion at your earliest convenience. Hope this helps.

544430 tn?1283712658 I am not familiar with Ramipril, so, unfortunately, can't speak to that. I've read posts here where people take a specific type of levothyroxine and have side effects from the dyes in the pill, so that's a possibility. However, I think further work up is probably warranted.
Avatar m tn Immunoglobulin A (IgA) is an antibody that plays a key role in your immune system by attacking invading pathogens. But in IgA nephropathy, this antibody collects in the glomeruli, affecting their filtering ability. Researchers don't know exactly what causes IgA deposits in the kidneys, although IgA nephropathy appears to have a genetic component in some people.

Avatar m tn During this same period, his chronic viral hepatitis B was controlled by entecavir. To our knowledge, this is the first case in which membranous nephropathy developed during pegylated interferon ?-2a therapy for chronic hepatitis B. The autoimmune modulation induced by interferon is the most likely mechanism for this complication. Clin Nephrol. 2012 Jun;77(6):496-500. 575214 tn?1218040360 Hi, Thin basement membrane disease (TBMD, also known as benign familial hematuria and thin basement membrane nephropathy) is, along with IgA nephropathy, the most common cause of asymptomatic hematuria. The only abnormal finding in this disease is a thinning of the basement membrane of the glomeruli in the kidneys. Its importance lies in the fact that it has a benign prognosis, with patients maintaining a normal kidney function throughout their lives.
Avatar m tn t grabbed the rail while falling and crying out for help, he would have fallen in the floor. What are the symtoms of both diseases that you wrote about (IgA nephropathy or Systemic lupus erythematosus)? He does have Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and blocked arteries in his heart.
Avatar f tn Hi there. I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. My problem is for about 12 months now I have been prescribed ramipril for my kidneys and high blood pressure, but in the last few months and weeks (it seems to me since crohns has become active) it is making me feel absolutely terrible.
Avatar n tn After months of intrusive tests following multiple infections, my daughter was diagnosed with mild nephropathy a few years ago at the age of about 8 or 9, and then diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes a few months ago (at the age of 13). After the "mild nephropathy" diagnosis, she went to a specialist every year for a few years to check on the kidney damage, and it didn't change (ie didn't get worse), so they said she didn't need to keep going back.
Avatar f tn My cardiologist put me on ramipril a few wks back and after 10 days ran blood tests whic came back normal. this morning I woke up with diarriah and some serious kidney pain on the right side.It doesn't hurt when I urinate or have a bowel movement although certain body movements cause it to occur. My question is can this be caused by ramipril along with my lasix and potassium with a delayed reaction or buildup?
Avatar m tn Taking Ramipril In morning for several years. Recently started taking Laxido & banana (for breakfast). About the same time started coughing frequently but intermittently & became slightly breathless when walking. 2 days ago doctor called Emergency as I had persistent chest pain & burping. No heart attack but abnormal ecg, which however improved after being in A&E for several hours. Wondering if Ramipril + laxido + banana too much potassium?
Avatar n tn I've had a dull mid-back pain and white tissue in my urine since December of 2007. Several urine tests have shown wbc and rbc in my urine, the most recent test had 15-30 rbc's. I've been on two rounds of antibiotics since December, Bactrim and Cipro, and my symptoms have not gotten any better. Also bubbles in my urine. Other symptoms include "malignant hypertension," extreme fatigue, hair loss, night sweats, dizziness.

512560 tn?1222560127 I've been told I have IgA Nephropathy. The Doctor says 'it not a big thing' i.e it's nothing to worry about. And he says 'we'll monitor it.' The problem for me is that I get flank/loin pain, i.e if I walk/stand too long, I get a numb area around my side and/or back. If I cough, I get pain near my upper right rib [or not too far from it], it feels like I've been punched. The Doctor says it has nothing to do with IgA Nephropathy. Is he right?
