5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed? please help me on that, i will be grateful...thank you.

that is quite a high dosage of beta blocker and is likely to give the low pulse. Is the cardiologist aware of this pulse? The blood pressure medication is quite low and could be increased. Ask the Cardiologist if the beta blocker should be reduced and the Ramipril increased.

I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. My problem is for about 12 months now I have been prescribed ramipril for my kidneys and high blood pressure, but in the last few months and weeks (it seems to me since crohns has become active) it is making me feel absolutely terrible.

Hi, i called into the pharmacy today and had a chat with the Pharmacist ,she produced a large book and showed me the symptoms i have been getting are due to the Enalapril and advised me to see my Doctor to get the tablets changed to an aternative, the symptoms you mention were also in this book she had. i am seeing the Doctor on Wednesday morning so i will let you know how i get on.

As he aged he developed cough also. Began enalapril and lasix (diuretic) for congestive heart. It has helped but I think contributed to kidney issues. Difficult balance. Discuss both with your vet and get labs please to check kidney function to ensure his tolerance of meds and minimize dosage if possible. Good luck.

He said hopefully the Enalapril would dilate the output artery(my words?) and increase EF and blood flow thus reducing fatigue. Does this sound reasonable and do you recommend other actions? Would changing the settings on the pacemaker make any difference? Is there anything new in the way of clearing old occluded arteries?

The cardiologis has them on both enalapril and vetmedin. They seem to be doing OK with the combination and have been on it for about 10 months.

I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.

I am not familiar with Ramipril, so, unfortunately, can't speak to that. I've read posts here where people take a specific type of levothyroxine and have side effects from the dyes in the pill, so that's a possibility. However, I think further work up is probably warranted.

Until late August my BP was generally140/75 but since then it is higher and despite 2 months of titration ( enalapril in several dosages) and adding 2mg Cardura to twice daily enalapril and 50 mg Toprol XL, it just fluctuates wildly during the day, and day to day, seemingly without regard to enalapril dosages being doubled, tripled, quadrupled or reduced.

Hello I have been diagnosed with LVH on echo and cardiologist said its ok and I am now on ramipril 1.25 mg. I have seen that ecg with inverted t waves and st-t but the doctors are brushing that away and saying to forget that. I am quite anxious and cannot trust.

My cardiologist put me on ramipril a few wks back and after 10 days ran blood tests whic came back normal. this morning I woke up with diarriah and some serious kidney pain on the right side.It doesn't hurt when I urinate or have a bowel movement although certain body movements cause it to occur. My question is can this be caused by ramipril along with my lasix and potassium with a delayed reaction or buildup?

Taking Ramipril In morning for several years. Recently started taking Laxido & banana (for breakfast). About the same time started coughing frequently but intermittently & became slightly breathless when walking. 2 days ago doctor called Emergency as I had persistent chest pain & burping. You may need, in addition to the ramipril a low dose of a beta blocker. Otherwise, an EP study and ablation can be attempted if medicatons fail to treat your symptoms.
