I have been diagnosed with Gastroparsis and my DR is recommending that I take domperidome, since I am not familiar with this medication I would like to hear from those who have taken it, were there any side effects and how did it work.
Currently my prescribed med i take are spironolactone 100 mg/day, bupropion 400 mg/day, domperidone 40 mg/day, rabeprazole ec 20 mg/day, arthrotec 100 mg/day, Trazodone 200 mg/day, ducosate sod 200 mg/day, and citalopram 60 mg/day. exlax is extra strength and i take two/day and the diurex is 200 mg and I take 1/day. Just a little history on me for such a short question I want to ask, but I want you to have all the info.
I was wanting to if anyone has found a way to help gain weight with the Gastroenteritis? He is having a very hard time with this. Also if someone could help with the fact that he burps and it smells so bad and I know what it is from and that he can't help it. But is there anything he can do to help the smell? He gets embarrassed when we go out to eat and he is making the place smell around him. Any help would help out so much!
.I'm a 34 year old female who has dealt with GI issues for several years. I went to see my first GI in 2004 due to rectal bleeding. A colonoscopy was performed and revealed nothing. The GI couldn't find a cause for the bleeding and it stopped on its own with no re-occurence. In 6/2010 I went back to the GI due to severe constipation and abdominal pain. I was diagnosed with IBS-Constipation Type and given literature on the condition and nothing more.
ve been experiencing acid reflux for almost 3 months now. It sort of happened overnight with incredible stomach churning. At first I thought it was stomach flu until I realised that my throat was feeling weird and I was getting air involuntarily popping at my throat. (I hardly ever burp before this.) The docter prescribed me with Omeprazole for 2 weeks.

I am taking a prescription from Canada called Domperidone and it has helped a little but its effectiveness seems to be wearing off. Is there something else out there that helps. I am quite sick right now.
Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
I used to be on Prevacid for excess stomach acid, but stopped using it when I went on the rabeprazole. I have an appt. on Monday with Dr. and hope he can find a solution.
In the meantime I am unable to eat and see no relief in site. Any suggestions? I am losing my mind !!
My son vomits at least once a week either first thing in the morning or shortly after laying down to sleep. Every time he vomits he is excluded for 48 hours from pre-school. His doctor says she can find nothing wrong with him. I am struggling do deal with this and don't know how to help him. What can be wrong?
So whether its a reaction with any of my meds (Tenorman, Magnesium, Vitamin D, Multivitamin, Calcium, Lasix, Rabeprazole, Domperidone, Bupropion, Spironolactone, Melatonin, Trazodone, Docusate, Clonazepam, Zopiclone when needed, Atasol 30 when needed & Fosamax), or just a reaction to nothing, I had to stop taking them.
I did try Reglan and I felt sick with this medicine. I did not try Domperidone yet. how to order the medicine. Do we have it in US.So I don't have to go through Canada. advice.
I also have gained weight with this problem.
Hi, I'm 19 years old, 5'0 in height and around 97 lbs in weight.
For two years now, I've been suffering from hyperacidity; sometime June last year, my symptoms took a turn for the worse and I saw about two doctors before finally being diagnosed as having GERD. I was prescribed Omeprazole and Domperidone for almost two months but that... didn't really work. The symptoms remained and eventually the physical pain got even worse.
As a side note...
I was diagnosed with gastroparesis 2 years ago as well. My doctor also prescribed Domperidone from a Canadian pharmacy. It has helped. It's worth asking your doctor about. Reglan has so many uncomfortable side effects.
I can only eat a little at a time. How long did it take for you to notice a difference with the domperidone?? The only thing I've noticed since being on Reglan and now domperidone is more frequent urination. My GI is sending me for some sort of test where you breath into something that measure bacteria in your stomach. Already had the endoscopy just GERD. Thanks!
I have found it easy to cope with by using medications (I am on reglan, but will soon switch to domperidone, and I also take prevacid) and changing my diet. The things to do to help it are to 1) eat a diet that is low in fiber and low in fat, 2) eat smaller more frequent meals, 3) try a medicine like reglan or domperidone or others, 4) try medicines that help reflux, and 5) if all else fails the a stomach pacemaker can be implanted.
