Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
Omeprazole(prilosec), lansoprazole (prevacid), pantoprazole (protonix), rabeprazole( aciphaex) and esomeprazole(Nexium). All are of same efficacy. If there is no response to one, switching to another might be helpful. Get your doctor's opinion before changing the medications.

I am a 29 yr old male, had a superficial duodenal ulcer in 2005, My doc had suggested Rabeprazole sodium 20mg which worked well then, he suggested i use it when ever i felt stomach burning or nausea. I have been using Rabeprazole for 5 years now, was workin good, recently my symptoms were back and i started taking 2 doses 20mg each daily.
I have swollen lymph nodes at the end of my jaw below my ears. Both sides. My whole neck felt like it was swollen. Could this be a result of my medication for acid reflux? (Rabeprazole ) Does acid reflux cause swollen lymph nodes in neck area?

I'm a 20 yr old (underweight) chinese female. I've been experiencing acid reflux for almost 3 months now. It sort of happened overnight with incredible stomach churning. At first I thought it was stomach flu until I realised that my throat was feeling weird and I was getting air involuntarily popping at my throat. (I hardly ever burp before this.) The docter prescribed me with Omeprazole for 2 weeks.
I live in Japan and while my care is excellent, it`s sometimes difficult to talk to my doctor. I`m taking Rabeprazole 10mg but the recommended dosage is 20mg in the US. I`m tall and weigh more than the average Japanese person, though I`m not fat. I`ve been taking it for about 3 weeks and I still have the saliva problem but it seems a little better.
I also have allergies and am wondering if I should see an allergist about this problem, the saliva.

i just take this medication for my stomach that balances the acidity or something. its called rabeprazole..other than that im not taking any medications..but i will try the magnesium supplement and see if it works or not..
I think it was, but the Dr. said she would let me know it there was a problem. I am currently on rabeprazole for a duodenial ulcer. Not working. I used to be on Prevacid for excess stomach acid, but stopped using it when I went on the rabeprazole. I have an appt. on Monday with Dr. and hope he can find a solution.
In the meantime I am unable to eat and see no relief in site. Any suggestions? I am losing my mind !!
The doc says it has healed by around 70% and asked me to wait for another 6 weeks. I am not on any medication for this. I have had acidity (esophageal reflux) for ages and I take Rabeprazole 10mg every day for last 4yrs. I am not a type A guy, don't have any rigid rules/disciplines as such.
In the meantime I have quit smoking, tobacco, cut down on alcohol (once a week), trying to eat healthy, not over-work etc. Is there any medication that would help?
and he gave me some medicine such as Albendazole , LEVAMISOLE HCL BP , Secnidazole , nifuroxazide , Lactobacillus LB and Antacid ( Rabeprazole Sodium ) ... But after taking the medicine nothing has happened , STILL feeling really dizzy and i always have Tachycardia ... it should be noted that I the first time i had these Symptoms was when i was 15 years old and it took me 4 or 5 months to recover ..
Your physician should be monitoring your b12 levels while you are takine AcipHex. This medication COULD be altering a vitamin or nutrient level.

Hello all. I've been feeling unwell for many years noe but always put it off to my poor eating or unhealthy lifestyle. Over the past 5 years I've improved in a lot of aspects but my health hasn't seemed to improved. I am 27, male and 180llbs. I've been to the GP several times over the past year and had a myriad of tests done. He checked my thyroid, diabetes, several EKGS, given me blood pressure medication, celiac disease. Everything has come back normal.
ENT did a scope of throat, said it was inflammed and swollen and suspected LPR, gave me a different PPI rabeprazole and took it for 2 weeks. Still no improvement, having throat pain only on right side. Then gastro doctor did a 24hr pH monitoring test, mannometry test and barium test on me, I was off all PPI and stomach meds for 3 weeks before doing the 24hr test. Test result came back negative for acid reflux or hyperacidity.
At first it was a few foods, now even water does that to me. Gets much worst, if I take any medication ex. muscle relaxer, antidepressant. I feel that whatever relaxes my esophagus, makes it hard for me to breath. I also have a history of nasal congestion, which I think I fixed with a radio-frequency procedure, not too long ago.
I also take hi and low blood pressure medication plus ketorolac for pain from a surgery for a hernia back in 1994, I take 2 rabeprazole morning and evening,also I have been on antibiotics numerous times over the past 3 or 4 years and at present Azithromycin because the Dr. thinks there may be a slight infection that just doesn't seem to clear up in the lungs and broncial tubes.
Tried Omeprazole 40mg, Pantoprozole 40mg, nexium 40mg, rabeprazole 20mg with domperidone, vocinti 20mg.
I'm on the medication rabeprazole. Does this cause the urine to smell like ammonia?
This can be a side effect of Prilosec which is a good medication to treat acidity, IBS, GERD etc. Hence you can stop this and see if your symptoms subside. There are other medicines available which you can try.
