Can my mom take 40 mg of pantoprazole instead of 20 mg
of teva-rabeprazole because she is out of teva-rabeprazole. It is extremely
dangerous to substitute one drug for another. Your mom needs to go back
to the doctor who prescribed her the teva-rabeprazole and tell him or her
that her prescription is finished. The other drug you're asking if your mother
should take i.e. the pantoprazole is also twice the amount of the other.
I am a 29 yr old male, had a superficial duodenal ulcer in 2005, My doc had suggested Rabeprazole sodium 20mg which worked well then, he suggested i use it when ever i felt stomach burning or nausea. I have been using Rabeprazole for 5 years now, was workin good, recently my symptoms were back and i started taking 2 doses 20mg each daily.

I am not a physician, however, I have had the same sensation in my throat, as well as gastritis, and the sensation in my throat has been attributed to gastric reflux (acid from the stomach going up into the esophagus). I took Pariet (rabeprazole) and it helped with the throat lump and gastritis. (However, I stopped taking it because I felt it slowed down my digestion and I was having a lot of abdominal distension - and still am (I am frustrated that has not yet been diagnosed).

Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
hi over the past 2 or 3 weeks ive been experiencing naseau that lasts all day its alot worse when i wake up in the morning. i was givin pills by my doctor called raberazole which seem to help. but 3 or 4 months agop i was feeling the same way only i could eat non stop but now when i find myself eating its hard to because when i am hungry and i take one bite of something it feels like i have to pass it up but i dont.
I have been having this muscle twitches lately all over my body. Sometimes i get them in my arms, leg, fingers. It feels like there are bubbles under my skin bursting. I dont know how to explain. It happens for few seconds like 4-5 seconds. I get them 8-9 times a day sometimes more. I also get these sharp pains in my fingers sometimes. I have done a full blood test, a CT scan from my head, and couple of heart tests. They were all normal. Now im fearing i might have MS or something.
I was on omeprazole 10mg, then pantoprazole 20mg and then rabeprazole 20mg. in total I was on PPIs for 3 months.
I did change my diet to be more GERD friendly as advised by my dr, no acidic/spicy/oily food and no coffee/tea/chocolate/mint.
I also had an ultrasoundndone on my stomach, liver and digestive tract as well as a full blood test, thyroid was found to be normal.
I’ve been having stomach cramps for 5 months and a burning feeling in my mouth, tongue and throat. The burning only starts after breakfast everyday and gets worse after I eat or even after sips of water. I’ve seen 2 gastroenterologists and also ENT. Gastroscope showed bile in the stomach and mild chronic gastritis, but otherwise normal. Abdominal MRI and nasal scope were normal. I was then diagnosed with IBS but they cannot find the cause of my burning mouth.
I have the same problem. Not that I can carry a tune, but it's still fun. I only found your post because I'm trying to find a solution too. I was wondering if I'm just singing wrong, like I can talk find, what's the difference if I sing. am I doing it wrong?
The pain does not go off to the right, does not go through to the back. It is a clenching / wrenching pain in the centre just under the rib cage.
The pain is intense to the point of causing fainting on occasion. It makes it difficult to breath. When the pain comes, it comes fast and lasts intensely for about 2 hour to 3 hours. It is always high intensity the whole time and does not rise and fall gradually.
He is taking a ppi now.. I think.. not nexium .. rabeprazole?? we ended up in Emerg on Sunday and he is taking morphine everyday now.. he has pretty much slept for the last two days.. hes lost about 20-25 lbs in the last month because he cannot eat anything... thank you for the referral to the GERD diet!!! we kinda have been going by trial and error so this is great!
Thats what he though too- he was sure he was going to have a jammer anytime.. but his heart is good.
Best treatment option is Triple therapy while prescription require little modifications like change in Antibiotics depending on drug sensitivity,Change in PPI-omeprazole to Rabeprazole or Esmoprazole or Lansoprazole), H2 antagonists-Cimetidine or Famotidine or Ranitidine,Adjustment in combinations of antacids with colic medications and Vitamin B12,dietary modifications,observation of symptoms and regular follow up,which may vary depending on observation with the Attending Physician.
I take rabeprazole in morning,so acidity and burps settle down.I have GERD mostly after food/water.My DIET is generally wheat and some vegetable.I avoid all junk foods too,NO SMOKING or alcohol.
My endoscopy came normal,I have no ulcers or colitus,sinuses are normal,ultrasound is also fine.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EAT IN MORNING,I KEEP RUSHING TO WASHROOM,MY FAMILY THINKS ITS ALL A JOKE AND THIS HEADCHE BOTHERS ME A LOT.
Long term use of PPIs like aciphex causes decreased absorption of vitamin B12 leading to a deficiency in this crucial vitamin. Vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms include numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Permanent nerve damage will occur if vitamin B12 deficiency has has gone without treatment for a sufficient time.

and he gave me some medicine such as Albendazole , LEVAMISOLE HCL BP , Secnidazole , nifuroxazide , Lactobacillus LB and Antacid ( Rabeprazole Sodium ) ... But after taking the medicine nothing has happened , STILL feeling really dizzy and i always have Tachycardia ... it should be noted that I the first time i had these Symptoms was when i was 15 years old and it took me 4 or 5 months to recover ..
