981443 tn?1250115802 Some resources assert that 2, 12 and/or 15 mg IR tablets and 25, 36 and 50 mg extended release tablets will be introduced although apparently the timeline on that is not known to the public at this time. Opana Extended-Release tablets are based on the TIMERx system developed by a consortium led by Endo and Penwest.
Business woman2 25, 37.5, 50, 75, and 100. Also, the extended release forms of Venlafaxine capsules come in many strengths too: 37.5, 75, and 150. Most of the tablet forms will contain Lactose and Gluten. Some of the extended release capsules do not contain neither Gluten nor Lactose. It will help me very much, if I know the dosage form and strength. We might be able to find you a supplier that do not use Lactose and Gluten in its Venlafaxine. Thanks and be well.
Avatar f tn I am taking methadone 5 mg tablets 3 times per day and Ultram 100 mg in the morning, 50 mg in the afternoon and 100 mg extended release in the evening. The reason for the mixed up dosage on the ultram is I am trying to get off of the extended release due to the cost. The problem I have is that before when I was taking 100 mg Ultram ER twice a day with the methadone as listed above my pain was controled, but since I have tried going down on it I have pain all the time again.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know about these? It's the extended release version of tramadol but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything else? I was prescribed it in Canada on vacation by a doctor in my mother in laws clinic. I am using it until next Friday when I'm on a long weekend and am going to stop taking it and going med free!

1415174 tn?1453243103 Has anyone tried extended release Topamax or Topiramate? It is called Trokedi XR. I am going to try it because my memory is so bad on Topamax. My neurologist said it might be better with Trokedi XR but it is very expensive. So if you can tell me before I buy it I would appreciate any feedback.
Avatar n tn In general, uncoated tablets are absorbed extensively in the proximal ( beginning )portion of the GI tract; therefore, delayed-release tablets are used to achieve a local effect in the colon. Following oral administration, 20—30% of a dose is absorbed, with peak plasma concentrations achieved in 3—12 hours. It is specially formulated to release the medicine after it has passed through your stomach into your intestines. If you are finding only the shell that is very common.

Avatar m tn 25 mg extended release, which is obviously not enough, though I feel great in terms of strength and alertness and stamina, that were all seriously diminished when I was taking Propranolol. So, now I am wondering: I definitely need to go up at least to 50 mg, but should I do a 50 mg Metoprolol once a day, or can I take the 25 mg tablets twice a day (every 12 hours).
Avatar f tn .I'm a 34 year old female who has dealt with GI issues for several years. I went to see my first GI in 2004 due to rectal bleeding. A colonoscopy was performed and revealed nothing. The GI couldn't find a cause for the bleeding and it stopped on its own with no re-occurence. In 6/2010 I went back to the GI due to severe constipation and abdominal pain. I was diagnosed with IBS-Constipation Type and given literature on the condition and nothing more.
Avatar n tn lately, i cant brush my hair on the left side because it is so sensitive. Am i on the wrong meds? What do you think of the hydro 15mgs extended release verses the 7.5 mg of hydrocodone?
725248 tn?1316162245 Have you tried the extended release formula for Dilaudid? A new extended release formulation (OROS®) of Hydromorphone is available and I believe it is more afforable than the Fentanyl. Here is link about the medication... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2697506/ I wish you the best of luck. With today's economy we have to get what we can afford.
612551 tn?1450022175 I was recently prescribed 100 mg extended release beta blocker to increase my long time used 50 mg. Is it better to take 50 mg every 12 hours rather than 100 mg every 24 hours? If no, should I take 100 mg in morning or before bed?
Avatar f tn If I am not mistaken, oxycontin is extended release while percs are immediate. The base drug is oxycodone so they are the same with a different release mechanism.
Avatar n tn Can my mom take 40 mg of pantoprazole instead of 20 mg of teva-rabeprazole because she is out of teva-rabeprazole. It is extremely dangerous to substitute one drug for another. Your mom needs to go back to the doctor who prescribed her the teva-rabeprazole and tell him or her that her prescription is finished. The other drug you're asking if your mother should take i.e. the pantoprazole is also twice the amount of the other.
Avatar f tn I take slow release iron tablets because my gummy vitamins don't have iron in them. If you get iron tablets I was told to go with slow release because you are less likely to get an upset stomach.
612551 tn?1450022175 I have been taking a beta blocker, 50 mg Metoprolol ER (Extended/Slow Release), for several years but have with my cardiologist approval today refilled my BB prescription with Metoprolol Tartrate (normal release) to be taken at 25 mg twice a day (every 12 hours). My reason is driven mainly by the fact the Tartrate is about 1/6th the cost of the Suc (ER).
Avatar f tn Wait at least one day after stopping tablets and at least 3 days after stopping capsules or extended-release tablets before consuming alcohol.
Avatar f tn Wow, that's really a difficult situation. Supersally has given excellent insight. What does your doctor say? Never thought about that if you have diarrhea and are taking slow release tablets that you'd pass them before they had a chance to do their work! I am not sure if the two are related, the diarrhea and new dose of medication. Perhaps if you get the diarrhea under control, the new dose and slow release tab will again be a viable option for you. Anyway, keep us posted on it!
