Avatar n tn Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
Avatar n tn Can my mom take 40 mg of pantoprazole instead of 20 mg of teva-rabeprazole because she is out of teva-rabeprazole. It is extremely dangerous to substitute one drug for another. Your mom needs to go back to the doctor who prescribed her the teva-rabeprazole and tell him or her that her prescription is finished. The other drug you're asking if your mother should take i.e. the pantoprazole is also twice the amount of the other.
Avatar n tn I am a 29 yr old male, had a superficial duodenal ulcer in 2005, My doc had suggested Rabeprazole sodium 20mg which worked well then, he suggested i use it when ever i felt stomach burning or nausea. I have been using Rabeprazole for 5 years now, was workin good, recently my symptoms were back and i started taking 2 doses 20mg each daily.
Avatar m tn I live in Japan and while my care is excellent, it`s sometimes difficult to talk to my doctor. I`m taking Rabeprazole 10mg but the recommended dosage is 20mg in the US. I`m tall and weigh more than the average Japanese person, though I`m not fat. I`ve been taking it for about 3 weeks and I still have the saliva problem but it seems a little better. I also have allergies and am wondering if I should see an allergist about this problem, the saliva.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 20 yr old (underweight) chinese female. I've been experiencing acid reflux for almost 3 months now. It sort of happened overnight with incredible stomach churning. At first I thought it was stomach flu until I realised that my throat was feeling weird and I was getting air involuntarily popping at my throat. (I hardly ever burp before this.) The docter prescribed me with Omeprazole for 2 weeks.
Avatar n tn I think it was, but the Dr. said she would let me know it there was a problem. I am currently on rabeprazole for a duodenial ulcer. Not working. I used to be on Prevacid for excess stomach acid, but stopped using it when I went on the rabeprazole. I have an appt. on Monday with Dr. and hope he can find a solution. In the meantime I am unable to eat and see no relief in site. Any suggestions? I am losing my mind !!
Avatar m tn ENT did a scope of throat, said it was inflammed and swollen and suspected LPR, gave me a different PPI rabeprazole and took it for 2 weeks. Still no improvement, having throat pain only on right side. Then gastro doctor did a 24hr pH monitoring test, mannometry test and barium test on me, I was off all PPI and stomach meds for 3 weeks before doing the 24hr test. Test result came back negative for acid reflux or hyperacidity.
Avatar f tn You can get t3 in a synthetic form (Cytomel) which can be added to your t4 regiment. This is good to try first before going with desiccated as the desiccated thyroid world can be difficult to manuver. (formula changes, availability, etc...). Also, magnesium has been a good suppliment for my daughter and has helped with aches and constipation and sleep if taken before bed. Psillium with lots of water (we used capsules) can also be of help to some with constipationt too).
Avatar f tn Tried Omeprazole 40mg, Pantoprozole 40mg, nexium 40mg, rabeprazole 20mg with domperidone, vocinti 20mg.
Avatar f tn consisting of Antibiotics(Amoxicillin and Clairithromycin), Proton Pump Inhibitors (Omeprazole or Rabeprazole), may also include Ulcer Protective Gels like Sucralfate,Irsogladine etc, antacids,Adjuvants like Okrin may also help.In case of resistant bacteria,Amoxcillin can be replaced by Metronidazole and other combinations of H2 antagonists and mucosal protective agents and multi vitamins help a lot.
Avatar m tn I have the same problem. Not that I can carry a tune, but it's still fun. I only found your post because I'm trying to find a solution too. I was wondering if I'm just singing wrong, like I can talk find, what's the difference if I sing. am I doing it wrong?
1139187 tn?1355706647 Take the insert out of the box and see if you Can make sense of the dosage information. Says you can start with a dosage of 100 mcg if you are under 50 years o,d or recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. However if you are older than 50 or have cardiac problems you should start with .13 to .25. Therebis about 3 paragraphs of confusing dosage information.
Avatar n tn I am not a physician, however, I have had the same sensation in my throat, as well as gastritis, and the sensation in my throat has been attributed to gastric reflux (acid from the stomach going up into the esophagus). I took Pariet (rabeprazole) and it helped with the throat lump and gastritis. (However, I stopped taking it because I felt it slowed down my digestion and I was having a lot of abdominal distension - and still am (I am frustrated that has not yet been diagnosed).
Avatar f tn However, a single day miss of the medicine, gave me a third seizure, which made me aware that missing the meds all together will anyways cause a seizure, and that the dosage has to be slowly reduced before completely finishing the dosage. After 2 yrs of taking Valprid, my doctor switched me to Lamosyn...again 400 mg, due to Valprid's side effects such as weight gain. Lamosyn was also equally good. At the end of 3 yrs i.e.
Avatar m tn So I made an appointment for endoscopy in Bangkok and indeed I was diagnosed with reflux and small hiatal hernia. I got prescribed Periet (which I think is rabeprazole) and while it did help with lump feeling in throat it didn't help much with breathing. However, recently I discovered a generic version of omeprazole which when I take in the morning it does help with my breathing. However, when I take it for longer than 3-4 days, my breathing starts to be bad again.
Avatar n tn The decrease in bioavailability is believed to be a function of the dose and not the dosage form. It was demonstrated that acyclovir is not dose proportional over the dosing range 200mg to 800mg.
753572 tn?1233868821 you must take a anti histaminic daily-cetrizine and also take rabeprazole a proton pump inhibitor daily.
Avatar f tn we went again a few days ago and the doctor said those were making his chest pains worse.. so they put him on Rabeprazole 20 mg. ( they said it may take a few days) Last night we drug him to the ER, and that was the most pain he has ever been in. They gave him 3 doses of morphine before he could even breathe properly and relax. His back was spasming terribly and his chest was really tight. they sent us home with a prescription for morphine and buscopan every 4 hrs..
Avatar n tn No, 50mcg Synthroid was not supposed to take care of it. Adjusting thyroid meds is a bit of an art form, and many doctors have no clue what to do if they can't look up your recommended dose on their computers and slap you on it and have your labs drop perfectly into line. Sounds to me like your doctor knows his limitations and wants you to see an endocrinologist. I'd recommend an endo also...this is a lifelong condition, and you want to work on a good relationship with a doctor.
