I've had these dots on the back of my throat for about a month (Early May) and I'm not sure what they are. They don't really cause me any distress but it does feel like I have something in the back of my throat and I constantly feel the need to hack and spit. I also feel my breath smells worse than usual. I've been using some strepsils and they calm it a little but to no avail.

He also took a supplement of zinc-carnosine, which helps a lot to heal the stomach lining. Zinc-carnosine is inexpensive and worth trying. My son is much happier these days! He can eat anything he wants. Hope you get some relief soon!

I tried DGL, zinc carnosine ,acidophyllus and cal-mag capsules and found some relief. So wanted to try other stuff .Digestive enzymes did not help me much. Do I need to see another GI doctor but not sure how useful it would be. Is there a way for the LES to tighten and be normal again. t know if this will help but a while back I was reading a study at Pubmed about Polaprezinc used with interferon. It is zinc- carnosine and I think it has been studied extensively in Japan. One study showed it to enhance interferon treatment but another study didn't show it to make a difference in efficacy but there were many less gastro complaints with those using it. Jarrow has a version of this called Pepzin GI.

Try 75 to 150 mg of zinc carnosine twice a day between meals — this has been extensively studied and is used frequently in Japan. Take 3 to 5 grams of glutamine powder in water twice a day to help heal the gut lining. Chew 2 to 3 chewable tablets of DGL (a form of licorice) 15 minutes before meals. Try 200 to 400 mg of magnesium citrate or glycinate twice a day.

I was diagnosed with IBS-Constipation Type and given literature on the condition and nothing more. So, I sought a second opinion and this GI also did nothing and told me he didn't think I needed to be scoped - ridiculous in my opinion taking into account my history and active symptoms. I was very displeased and went for a 3rd opinion as I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and spasms, severe constipation, gas and bloating with visible distension and a recent onset of acid reflux.

It is a PPI so I would guess it could cause these things. You have to weigh the benefit of the drug against the side effects. PPIs have also been known to intefere with absorbtion of B12 and other vitamins.

Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee

However, the structures of the eye, especially the lens, become more rigid and impervious with age, so I decided to use the MSM drops to make them more elastic and permeable. Some years ago I tried the carnosine drops for a short time and there was improvement. However last year, when I started the treatment in earnest, adding the MSM drops, the results were more dramatic.

During that period I did not make any changes in supplements and purposely did not take supplements specific to eye health, so as not to skew possible results. My retina specialist is very interested in my progress and wants to see me in May 2011 to track any further improvement. Although I had been told I needed cataract surgery, this week he told me it was not necessary. In additiion to my vision improving, the arcus senilis has darkened and narrowed considerably and the macular degeneration is somewhat better. as I read about the study reported in the British Journal of Dermatology about using oral zinc for recalcitrant warts. but my doctor told me no that hes never heard of that and too much zinc is dangerous..the clinical trial they used up to 600mg of zinc a day..but Fourteen of the 23 zinc-treated patients had complete remission of their warts after one month of treatment. Complete clearance of warts was noted in 20 patients after two months...NO ONE in the Placebo group showed ANY improvements..

I am using MSM drops (which I make myself) and drops that contain l-carnosine. I use one drop of each three times a day and take the weekends off. (I prepare the saffron myself.) I dream of one day discarding my eyeglasses, but that is probably a dream. But who knows? I found only two studies on the drops and neither went beyond one year. I will continue the regimen until there is no longer any improvement. Two years? Three years? I have plenty of time.
