Hi, my mom was taking teva-rabeprazole 20mg and now she is out of them can she take pantoprazole 40mg now?
I was diagnosed with IBS-Constipation Type and given literature on the condition and nothing more. So, I sought a second opinion and this GI also did nothing and told me he didn't think I needed to be scoped - ridiculous in my opinion taking into account my history and active symptoms. I was very displeased and went for a 3rd opinion as I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and spasms, severe constipation, gas and bloating with visible distension and a recent onset of acid reflux.
It is a PPI so I would guess it could cause these things. You have to weigh the benefit of the drug against the side effects. PPIs have also been known to intefere with absorbtion of B12 and other vitamins.
Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee

I'm a 20 yr old (underweight) chinese female. I've been experiencing acid reflux for almost 3 months now. It sort of happened overnight with incredible stomach churning. At first I thought it was stomach flu until I realised that my throat was feeling weird and I was getting air involuntarily popping at my throat. (I hardly ever burp before this.) The docter prescribed me with Omeprazole for 2 weeks.
I used to be on Prevacid for excess stomach acid, but stopped using it when I went on the rabeprazole. I have an appt. on Monday with Dr. and hope he can find a solution.
In the meantime I am unable to eat and see no relief in site. Any suggestions? I am losing my mind !!
He prescribed me Eldicet, Providac, Torbulk Powder and Veloz D for 2 months and told me stop eating Wheat and suggested to take more Yogurt and Butter Milk. However, all in vain.
I stop all the medicines since I was taking too much medicines since a year. Now I have started talking Levipride (Levosulpride) 25mg three times a day with Esoz 20 before meal after surfing a lot internet. By sonography, Dr came to know that I'm having nonalcohlic fatty liver and asked me to reduce my weight.
ENT did a scope of throat, said it was inflammed and swollen and suspected LPR, gave me a different PPI rabeprazole and took it for 2 weeks. Still no improvement, having throat pain only on right side. Then gastro doctor did a 24hr pH monitoring test, mannometry test and barium test on me, I was off all PPI and stomach meds for 3 weeks before doing the 24hr test. Test result came back negative for acid reflux or hyperacidity.
I’ve been having stomach cramps for 5 months and a burning feeling in my mouth, tongue and throat. The burning only starts after breakfast everyday and gets worse after I eat or even after sips of water. I’ve seen 2 gastroenterologists and also ENT. Gastroscope showed bile in the stomach and mild chronic gastritis, but otherwise normal. Abdominal MRI and nasal scope were normal. I was then diagnosed with IBS but they cannot find the cause of my burning mouth.

Amoxicillin-500mg bd and Metronidazole-400 mg td with 2.Rabeprazole+Domperidone bd, 3.Sucralfate anesthetic antacid suspension td for continuous 10 days helps to stop progression of disease.Further Multi vitamin and peptic enzymes may be prescribed as supplementary medications.Most of the people get relieved with this complete prescription.
Levosulpiride is dopamine (D2) receptor antagonist usually used for schizophrenia and depression, although it can be used for dyspepsia (it can increase the blood flow to the liver, spleen, kidneys, and other visceral organs, and controls muscle movements and motor coordination through an inhibitory action over stimuli response). What's your current dosage? Were the symptoms present before the drug was prescribed or did the onset occur later? How long have you been taking it?
I am not a physician, however, I have had the same sensation in my throat, as well as gastritis, and the sensation in my throat has been attributed to gastric reflux (acid from the stomach going up into the esophagus). I took Pariet (rabeprazole) and it helped with the throat lump and gastritis. (However, I stopped taking it because I felt it slowed down my digestion and I was having a lot of abdominal distension - and still am (I am frustrated that has not yet been diagnosed).
When the pain comes, it comes fast and lasts intensely for about 2 hour to 3 hours. It is always high intensity the whole time and does not rise and fall gradually. There is also seemingly constipation, thought this might be related to medications or lack of eating to avoid pain. When bowel movements happen they are hard and small. It does feel as though something needs to come out most days.

For the past 3 months I have been enduring constant 24/7 abdominal pain in right lower quadrant and umbilical area, and constant nausea. Both symptoms unaffected by food intake, and do not interfere with sleep, although I wake up feeling exhausted and constantly anxious about the cause. The character of the pain is a dull ache and "tightness" in my stomach. I vomit most mornings before work due to anxiety.
He is taking a ppi now.. I think.. not nexium .. rabeprazole?? we ended up in Emerg on Sunday and he is taking morphine everyday now.. he has pretty much slept for the last two days.. hes lost about 20-25 lbs in the last month because he cannot eat anything... thank you for the referral to the GERD diet!!! we kinda have been going by trial and error so this is great!
Thats what he though too- he was sure he was going to have a jammer anytime.. but his heart is good.
well, its been more than a month now, i feel like having gas in my stomach, i am eating good and drinking lots of water, but stools are not proper , the amount of stool passing has decreased and i feel vibration in my stomach and chest , i cough a lot after having a meal , can it be due to anxiety ? how can i clean my stomach fully ??
