Common Questions and Answers about Quit smoking acne

smoking

Before I had my children I was smoking a pack a day. Anyway, I need to quit completely because I hate it. I also want to go on some bc pills for acne and pelvic pain but to do so I have to be quit for at least 3 months. BC pills and smoking do not mix if you are over 35. So I am going to try....here goes nothing....lol.
They say that shortly after they quit their face broke out and they have had acne ever since. I have tried everything to get rid of it, but I am convinced that until I know exactly why this happened, whether it led to some sort of imbalance in my body or what, I will not be able to cure my acne. I have been to dermatologist, family doctors, homeopathic doctors; I have tried antibiotics, various face washes, bar soaps of all kinds, creams and lotions and potions galore!
To prevent sweating, wear cotton clothes for proper ventilation, take baths with cold water, drink plenty of water and try to keep the room temperature at a lower level. Quit smoking, eliminate alcohol and reduce stress levels. Treatment usually involves antiperspirants like aluminium chloride (20-25%) in 70-90% alcohol, Iontophoresis, botox treatment and surgery if none of the above methods are helpful. There are no specific drugs available for this.
Ive heard of smoking pain pills but its rare. You sure shes not smoking something else? Would she tell you?. Shes not being honest now. If I got caught like she did I may come up with the same story if I knew someone would buy it. If your smoking anything out of aluminum foil, good chance your an addict. Addicts have to have the want to quit. You cant do anything without her wanting to do something. Shell have to at least be open to help. Sorry man. The people here wont sugar coat anything.
So I popped it, and a white acne-like stuff came out. And right now, it's still bumpy and reddish, and it's slightly sore when it's pressed. I think it's in the state of healing. I'm really concern that this might be a herpes or warts. Is this a symptom for herpes or genital warts? I'm worried cause I dont get tested for herpes or genital warts? For your information, after that last sexual encounter, about 10 days ago, I had mutual masturbation with two other guys, with anal stimulation.

This isn't a question... just a possible solution to acne that I think EVERY acne sufferer should at least try. The answer? Vitamin D. I know, I honestly can't believe something so simple as the "skin vitamin" could possibly cure my acne. I have been taking about 1000 IU a day, every day for the past month now. Both with my breakfast and with my supper... and ACNE IS GONE!!!! I am 25 years old and have had acne since I was 14... and for once no more acne!
I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and 3-4 days a week I excersise and i quit smoking 7 months ago and I still feel the same no different. I am so exhausted. I am sick of this. Before I came up with this theory that acne is a 'vitamin D deficiency'... my acne got better not because I was supplementing vitamin D, but because I had quit drinking coffee during the same time. I continued my vitamin D therapy but reintroduced coffee back into my diet which included lots of caffeine and lots of cream(i always got cream in my coffee) my acne came back again.
I would like to get back on it, but since then, I have become a smoker and am concerned about the risk of blood clots associated with smoking and BCP. I plan to quit smoking cold turkey when I move soon, and then get back on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen.
I've come pretty far since I was 15 and sick and tired all the time with dry itchy skin and acne. I've quit eating gluten and most dairy and sugar, quit smoking cigarettes, started eating natural, nutritionally dense food. It took a while for me to find what works for me but I've learned a lot and as I said come a long long way.

I take Vitamins ranging from Zinc to Fish Oil. I'd also like to note my acne subsided to a minimal for years until I quit smoking Cigs in which my face has erupted ever since. My stress level is actually much lower since quitting cigs... but I read that nicotine and smoke effects your hormones and my body is trying to adjust? I quit smoking 6 months ago... that long for my hormones to balance out? Recently I paid a visit to my dermatoligist.
I plan to quit smoking cold turkey when I move soon, and then get back on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen.
when i was younger i had bad acne and was put on accutane which fixed it. i am also a recent ex-smoker(bad skin was one of the reason why i quit). would the fact that i have really oily skin and that i smoked for about 10 years be the reason why i have such bad skin? i have friends who smoke and there skin is loads better than mine. my whole face is full of red, brown ,yellow and white blotches, plus my pores are very big, then the oil just magnifys all the bumps and blemishes.
I have never had one nor any other major health problem. 3 Weeks ago, I started taking Zyban to help me quit smoking. Last Friday, I came home from work and was talking to my wife in the kitchen. She said I stopped talking, starred at her for a few seconds, then dropped to the floor like a rock and started convulsing. I was having what I now know to be a Grand Mal siezure. I hurt my back, arm, leg, and almost bit through my tounge.
I have been a smoker for many years ohhh probably since I was 18. Once I had children ( I quit during both pregnancies) I started smoking but down from a pack a day to a few cigarettes a day and that is where I am now. I hate it and I want to quit to be healthy and have a long life. Also I have bad acne and pelvic issues so want to try BC pills. BC pills and smoking over 35 does not mix so unless I am off of cigarettes for at least 3 months my Dr wont even prescribe them for me.
I quit smoking December 28th 2009. I almost immediately started gaining weight even tho I cut 200 calories a day from my diet and replaced my need for smoking with tooth brushing. I also added another 6 blocks to my daily dog walking. But sadly I still put on nearly 100lbs and my weight now is given my a new whole bunch of health problems. I now have sleep apnea, hair loss, fingernail loss, acne, acid reflux, strange painful and blistering rash`s all over my arms, legs, hands and feet.

I am a 32 yr old male in relatively good shape. I have recently quit smoking, ~3 weeks, after smoking a pack a day or so since I was 15. I am on Chantix to aid me in quitting. Anyway, as soon as I stopped smoking, I started to feel pain in my arm, chest and back. I went to the dr. and they did a ECG (normal) and a chest xray with some very mild hyperinflation. They said this could be eary chronic bronchitis or just an eager radiologist.

I have honestly tried almost every product including Proactiv, Murad, over the counter etc. However there is one thing I have not tried and that is to quit smoking and to drink more H2O. Who knows...maybee some green tea too. If anyone has any advice in regards to small (tiny) bumbs all over, under the skin's surface, please let me know. They are not painful and I don't consider them to be "acne". My experience...
I used to smoke heavily, and drink heavily and party all night, and eat fast food almost everyday of the week. Now I exercise regularly, I quit smoking over a year ago, and I try to eat a balanced diet since I also suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. On a side note, most of my life I've had swollen lymph nodes on and off under my arms and in the groin region and once even near my eye. Could this be related?
I started a low carb diet and workout regimen and have lost 21 lbs, im sure that helped too! I also quit smoking almost 6 month ago and i haven't drank any alcohol in that long either!!!!
I took some quit smoking meds a year ago (they were pills). I now have little red spots on my checks? I have never had a problem with Acne, even as a teenager. They dont turn into pimples and never go away. I dont know if the meds did this to my face or if I should go to the doctor? I stoped using my face scrub to see if that made a difference and it didnt? I now use a lot of cover up and I dont know if the makeup is making it worst? It seems to stay the same and never goes away?
I also quit smoking at the start of this dosage. The index toe flickers really quick some times. I have to constantly keep ticking my toes (by making that click sound on contracting the toes) for relaxing my otherwise discomforting foot. What is wrong with me?
and what other method is the safest? 2). I am currently taking Minocycline 100mg per day for acne. I know that I need to stop taking it but wasn't sure how long it took to get out of my system.
