Avatar m tn Have been on amlodipine and quinapril for about 6-7 years as well as other meds. My blood tests came back fine except for my RDW which is elevated. My NT-ProBNP was only at 6 pmol/L so very low. The Cardiologist immediately ruled out coronary disease - he said I was too young (40yrs old). Said it could be Atypical Angina that was causing the chest pain but no way to test accurately due to my age and said he he could not tell me it wasn't PAH.
Avatar m tn Showed mild RAE and Moderate LAE and my RV was upper limits of normal. Have been on amlodipine and quinapril for about 6-7 years as well as other meds. Avatar n tn Hi fahadali2008, hope you are feeling better and able to have some sleep? Since when were you taking Lexotinal for sleeplessness and how much useful was it? Had it been prescribed by a doctor? Can you say the reason for stopping the use of this drug completely? Did you have any serious side effects of the drug? It is better you consult your attending physician or consult a sleep specialist before abruptly stopping the drug to be advised on the alternate medications.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an equivalent to the patch that one can take....I have insurance but since it just started I do not have any insurance cards yet therefore I cannot afford to get the patch yet. The only pharmacy near me that carries the patch says it's more than $500 for 15. So is there something that can be taken that's basically the same...I have been through w/d too many times to go through it with these bad boys.
Avatar m tn my cholesterol is under control and at decent levels My blood pressure was borderline high in the past and I have been taking quinapril for a while now. (max dose). My blood pressure was better at ~ 120/90. I also take bupropion xl and was taking olanzipine. I have stopped the olanzapine, after long term use. Coming off the olanzapine, I have had more anxiety and more emotion, and have not slept very well. After stopping olanzapine, my BP was checked and was now high again at 148/110.
Avatar m tn I am thinking of holding off, telling my doctor what my resting pulse and bp is (I already take quinapril, 5mg per day). I have business travel coming up over several weeks and I think I will ask for a 30 day heart monitor test. I wonder how a 24 hour holter shows "normal" but now the doctor wants me on toprol? He said I can continue swimming but my performance won't be as good. And that I might have to drop quinapril if my bp goes too low. I will be taking 30mg (the lowest dose).
Avatar m tn 100 mcg is roughly equivalent to 1 grain of desiccated. So, 162 mcg converts to about 1.62 grains. However, keep in mind that these are not really equivalents...they are very different meds. So, the equivalency is more of a place to start when switching. You probably want to start out on the low side if you're not used to taking T3, especially if your FT3 is "elevated", which I assume means higher than you normally like it???
Avatar f tn You use it to convert your fentanyl dosage to an equivalent morphine dose, and then find the equivalent morphine dose to oxymorphone, Generally when converting between opiates, doctors will reduce the new medication strength by a certain percentage to account for incomplete cross tolerance, which is a boost in analgesia you get from rotating from one kind of opiate to another. You can find equal analgesic tables, and apps for calculating equivalent dosing online.
640719 tn?1277140030 5 mg would be roughly equivalent to 50 mcg. However, bear in mind that the two are not really equivalent since T3 and T4 are very different. The chart only offers a place to start, and your starting dose should take that into account along with other factors, like your typical drug tolerance and the fact that T3 sometimes takes a little getting used to. So, your overall dose will be a little on the low side, but I don't think it's an unreasonable place to start.
Avatar m tn Is it possible to have an equivalent test result when you have not been exposed to the herpes infection? Can a virgin have an equivalent test result?
Avatar n tn Coming from a non-eye care professional, my advice would be not to have limbal relaxing incisions. With only .5D of astigmatism, your spherical equivalent would be +1.25D (as opposed to your current +.75D). I tried to explain why in recent posts to Capes55 but didn't do a great job. I know that your near/intermediate vision is very blurry at +.75D, but it's pretty blurry at plano, too.
Avatar n tn Is Seroquel XR 50mg 2tabs 2x a day the equivalent of Seroquel 100mg 2x a day?
Avatar f tn 4 weeks= a month 8 weeks= 2months 12 weeks=3 months 16 weeks=4 months 20 weeks=5months 24weeks=6months 28weeks=7months 32weeks=8months 36-40=9 months! That's the chart my Dr gave me .. so 24 weeks is six months!
Avatar m tn Hi, I have been on Levothyroxine since July 2011, 50 MCG daily, also 5mg quinapril daily since then. I was under the impression that synthroid improves cholesterol levels. My doctor told me. He also recommended fish two or three times a week, and lamb otherwise. I eat red meat once or twice a week and salmon three times. Physically, you would not think I need to be on these meds. I am thin and athletic, a swimmer's body. I work out six days a week.
Avatar m tn Upon searching in google, i found that 1 COI is equivalent to .064 or 1 IU/ML = 18.21 COI. From this i am getting the IU/ML equivalent of 380-440 IU/ML. is COI (ELISA method) method of calculation reliable?

Avatar f tn I had been taking Ramipril for years. Went to a new Dr. who changed me to Quinapril twice a day because he said it was better for kidneys and added Metoprolol ER 50mg / day because my pulse was always around 90. My BP was usually 120 / 80 with the Ramipril. It's now down to 105 / 65 and my pulse is down to 70. BUT I can't stand how gassy the Metoprolol makes me. I am walking around passing gas all day without being able to control it.

Avatar n tn I am on thyrolar-3 and an additional 12.5mcg of cytomel. this is the equivalent of 350mcg of synthroid. when I was on the equivalent of 300mcg synthroid (take thyrolar 3 whihch is 150mcg T$ and 37,5mcgT3) my TSH was still 4.0. however my free T4 was normal, I think there is something else at play here....wilsons syndrome (reverse T3 production) or an adrenal problem. thoughts?
