Avatar n tn I am taking Quinapril and atenolol and one asprian a day I had open heart surgery in 1999 I never really had high blood pressure but my doctor said this was the normal for heart patients. I feel very tired all the time and have had some kind of chest pain that doesn't show any problems have had resent angio and stress test is ther mabe a better med.
Avatar m tn Had echo in Sept due to palpitations/pain in left side of chest. Showed mild RAE and Moderate LAE and my RV was upper limits of normal. Have been on amlodipine and quinapril for about 6-7 years as well as other meds. My blood tests came back fine except for my RDW which is elevated. My NT-ProBNP was only at 6 pmol/L so very low. The Cardiologist immediately ruled out coronary disease - he said I was too young (40yrs old).

Avatar m tn However, I dislike doctors who dispense drugs like candy instead of finding the cause and cure of the health issue/concern. All drugs have side effects, some nastier than others. I wouldn't be surprised that your father is taking medication to counteract the side effects of a previous drug/s. Then it becomes a domino affect as he is Rx'd more drugs. Weeding him off drugs would be a good start.
1414174 tn?1304680526 I started noticeing side effects at about 8pm, and they continued till this morning. I experienced a low grade headache, aches in my upper legs and lower back, some difficulty sleeping, and an awkward kind of dizziness (which I notice now seems to immediately follow my Riba dose). I am a Genotype 1b, with what I was told a 6log Viral load?? I have clean and sober for over 6 years, and am pretty sure I contracted the virus about 7-8 years ago..
7829857 tn?1401192659 I am grateful to have been cleared at the 4 week mark. I was just feeling that the side effects were getting worse and worse and i was battling discouragement. I am very grateful for your help and admire the way you are handling this!
Avatar f tn I am 55 yrs old female and went for a physical and was told i had high blood presure, that day it was 144/92. I had a blood test and it showed high cholesteral 257. Doctor put me on 10 MG Lisinopril. I took the tab for 5 days on the fifth day my heart was pounding so hard in my chest and i felt like someone was sitting on my chest. This happened a few more time over the next week and it would go away after a few min.
Avatar m tn 22 days on sovaldi-olysio-no side effects, not even a headache. And to this life long non responder who has done and failed with everything that has been on the market, this combo is working.Cant believe I am getting better and not suffering like I did with all the previous poison. Its like Dr. Bones McCoy from Star Trek brought this stuff back from the future.
Avatar n tn I woke this morning with aches and pains and have been experiencing a headache on and off all day that is when I am not SLEEPING. Honestly I am not complaining especially since I had expected much worse. My question is do the symptoms change or/and get worse as treatment continues. I would assume they do get worse since the meds build up in your body. I have 3 kids ages 16,11,and 7.
Avatar f tn This treatment has a high risk of psychiatric side effects, you need to find a doctor who is up to date on the treatment and side effects. Search the archives on this forum, its got lots of good discussions and information. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Did you taper off the vibryd or quit abruptly? You can't just switch from one medication to another even in the same class and avoid withdrawal -- these meds are not easy to stop taking and it must be done carefully. Unless you completely stop taking a medication before starting another it's impossible to tell if your symptoms are a sign you're suffering withdrawal and quit too quickly or are side effects of the new medication.
Avatar f tn You definitely need to get some high quality moisturizer and start lathering your body with it. Also note – hot water dries out the skin. If possible, you might feel better if you skipped a daily shower when possible. The nausea stinks big time. The Pegasys folks are pretty clear that this particular side effect doesn't last and in my case it didn't. After about a month it went away. Try to eat small, frequent meals. Anything you like. Cold food is better than hot food.
Avatar f tn The known, serious side effects of tamoxifen are blood clots, strokes, uterine cancer, and cataracts (see Questions 5–8). Other side effects of tamoxifen are similar to the symptoms of menopause. The most common side effects are hot flashes and vaginal discharge. Some women experience irregular menstrual periods, headaches, fatigue, nausea and/or vomiting, vaginal dryness or itching, irritation of the skin around the vagina, and skin rash.
Avatar f tn seek immediate medical attention if you develop any serious symptoms or side effects. and that these side effects may only occur infrequently, BUT SOME MAY BE FATAL. would this statement not really get you thinking.I never had any serious deseases but thought that the hep c would kill me. how irronic. those serious side effects are all that occur in our bodies, for some of us. I never experienced any thing like this before on the treatment.
Avatar f tn It could be a side effect of the methadone or even an allergic type reaction to it. I remember when I took Macrobid (antibiotic) for a urinary infection, I had a high fever (102.3) every time I would take it, so I called my doctor's office and they told me to stop it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it. As it turned out, my father had had this same type of reaction to it a couple years before.
Avatar n tn I had many side effects. Headaches, severe heartburn accompanied with hiccups. Blisters and discoloration all over my tongue and back of my throat. By day 6 my feet and ankles were badly swollen and it was getting difficult to swallow. My doc said I was having a systemic reaction and to quit immediately. We are going to try Subutex now and I hope it works. On all the info I found, the only side effect I had that was listed was headache.
Avatar f tn I was just thinking about the pain during labor and im super nervous on what i should do.me and pain dont get along! Are the side effects from a epidural really bad and do it last a lifetime ?
Avatar f tn Sue That sounds exactly like it was just beginning to feel better after the first chemo and wham, like you say feel and look like an old woman. Any idea how long it lasts and if it will happen every time? By the way won't flushing the chemo out defeat the object?

Avatar m tn He had a third seizure there and the vet diagnosed epilepsy. He is on phenobarbitol and had no side effects until last night when he vomited and started head twitching. He is drooling a lot and a bit wobbly. Is this typical? Will it stop ?
Avatar m tn Hi I'm new to this site. In Jan. of 09 I had cervical fusion, in Dec. of 09 I had lumbar fusion. In Aug. I started the treatment (Pegasys Interferon and Ribavirin).I was wondering is treatment intensifying the aches and pains from the surgeries and I've developed several rashes.I go to see my GI on the 17.
Avatar m tn exactly how bad are side effects from the drugs used for treatment?? i mean will i be so sick from them that i cant function??
Avatar f tn applies somewhat in the case of side effects. Some are able to endure more than others. Exact same side effects can effect two people totally different so it's really depends on the individual as to how they will react. For the most part, people tolerate treatment fairly well. It isn't easy, but we manage. I never really over think it. Just go with it and hope for the best.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone! I'm a 2B and just started my treatment 2 nights ago with my first injection. It went really well, and I still don't notice any side effects (sx?). I am taking pegintron and rebetol. Is this normal? I have been reading about all the side effects and had me pretty scared, but so far, I feel fine??
Avatar f tn Do these side effects eventually go away if you take Soboxin (sp), and then eventually no SOboxin? If a person works out and takes vitamins will this assist in getting this awful drug out of the system?
