733744 tn?1337950650 What dose are you at? When did you get placed on Seroquel? They start you at a small dose and move it up as required. Just be a bit patient, and it will help you. I was seriously anxious and hypomanic at the same time, basically what they call mixed states. I started at 25 mgs 3x a day. They moved up my dose though about 6 weeks time to 50mgs morning, 100mgs at dinner, and 100 at night. I just had my dinner dose upped because I was still a bit hypomanic.
Avatar f tn What is the lethal dose of aripiprazole, quetiapine and lamotrigine? Mix of them.
Avatar f tn with low dose you sleep well. less than 50. as you up the dose until 100 it works as an MS . as to increasing energy i don't believe it because it lessens the dopamine as an antimanic. but because you don't have psychosis any more you are not tired from that so you feel better and also a good sleep makes you more energetic as thesea said. seroquel works on the 5-htp and is good for depression it's the only AP prescribed for depression by the FDA.
Avatar f tn I was wondering what the therapeutic dose generally is to treat bipolar 2? I have been going to my family dr and am on 100 mg of lamictal and 300 mg well Orrin. However I am still very depressed and wondering if this is the right dose?
Avatar f tn I had been on klonopil and celextra for 4 years, after a bad pannic attack, every time i wanted to came off the pills the symptoms where back, so my gp kept prescribing it, i was for about 2 years on a dose of 2.0 then lowered to 1.50 the last 18 months, i begun to notice that i was loosing my short memory, so i decided to stop it lowering again the dose to a 1.0, it made me slepp so well, the problems begun when i was taking 0.
1052851 tn?1307741160 I would not recommend dropping the noon dose of Quetiapine without first talking to your doctor. Decreasing or suddenly stopping any of these medications could potentially be dangerous. Your best option now is to explain to her that you are experiencing excessive daytime fatigue. This may be the reason that your doctor wants to add Abilify. Your doctor will be able to work with you and attempt to find a good balance that works for you.
767237 tn?1332640177 50mg of seroquil I assume is at bed time, because that is a low dose. I take 125 @bed time.Back to the lamictal 25mg. is usuall a intro dose .900 mg of lithium is on the low side but acceptable I use to take 900 up to 1200. You said " feeling manic jumpy and irritable Could be the lamictal ( how long have you been on it?)How long since you went from 3mg to 1 mg of clonazapan It would not hurt you to take a 1mg to take the edge off but Always call your doctor first.
1052851 tn?1307741160 My GP switched me over to Zeldox, as I was gaining weight rapidly on Quetiapine, however the side effects from Zeldox, such as not being able to sleep, vomitting, feeling like my throat was closing, shakes, dizziness, severe heart palpatations, I got off the Zeldox and went back on the Quetiapine. What is the ingrediant in Zeldox that would cause these hyper side effects?
1029865 tn?1252418538 The therapeutic dose to hop up a person properly on a drug depends on the person really. Some people have to be doped up more than others.
1653406 tn?1302383455 Generally speaking, a good therapeutic target dose for ribavirin is 12-15 mg/kg/day. 130 pounds = 59 kg Sooo… 708 to 885 mg day should be sufficient. Of course, you should discuss all this with your physician.
Avatar f tn Hi! I'm just trying to do some research for my friend ... She's been on Quetiapine (an atypical antipsychotic) for about 2yrs, but previous to this she was diagnosed with borderline hypothyroidism. Suddenly, she has fallen really ill and blood tests have confirmed minor hypothyroidism (T3 levels around 9)... but the symptoms look like hyper!
Avatar f tn I still had occasional attacks so my Dr upped my dose to 20 mg. Now I feel tired and nauseous all day. Can I just go back to 10 mg today? I still have them left from before she upped my dose. I don't want to feel sick all day again.
574118 tn?1305135284 At one time I was on 400 for my therapeutic dose and also had a prescription for 25 mg which I would take with me when I left the house in case a panic attack kicked in. 100mg does seem to be the magic number for some reason??? If I took the 25mg or 50mg before an attack actually hit, I would get pulled down. To me it seems like it is an intense depressant. 50 mg is just enough to let you stay awake and feel the depression.
534105 tn?1226157177 I was taking 25mg of quetiapine (Seroquel) at night for one month. My doctor told me to stop taking it without reductions because of severe fatigue and somnolence during the day. I am not sure if I am going to have withdrawal problems. Any suggestions?
1255936 tn?1296623461 Yes I know I need to maybe start seeing a good Psychiatrist to get to the bottom of my Anxiety and Depression. Doc suggested Seroquel and starting on a very low dose...to aid with my Effexor. My problem is that the Anxiety is bad...effecting my work and life in general. I am frustrated with taking baby steps. What is the dose for treatment of such disorders and not just a low dose for sleeping?
Avatar f tn My 18 year old daughter was almost totally resistant to the repeated rounds of SoluMedrol (5 days each time), so in the last two months, she has been hospitalized twice for PLEX (also called TPE, or Therapeutic Plasma Exchange). Each time, a Shiley catheter was implanted in her right internal jugular vein (neck), and she received 7 every other day Plasma Exchange. The first round in October, she had spectacular recovery, but that only lasted for 2.5 weeks.
574118 tn?1305135284 s rather rare that patients take such little dose that is active. For instance seroquel is 25mg is enough for me and active. My lamictal was 2mg infantile and was working well until i had seizure with paxil. So each time i take a new drug i never reacvh what is called a therapeutic level. Why should i, if already my therapeutic level is so low instead of ruining my liver,... Could this apply to lithium as well, i.e.
Avatar m tn i never heard of advair or minoxidil, it seems meds to treat other things than psych also the others seem strange. since you seem to suffer from other symptoms, my modest advise is to seek a hospital support, a GP is of no help here. you went toxic on lithium, meaning you didn't monitor the dose. so either you don't have time to check or change the meds without doc consent. suppose i tell you quetiapine helps me in my rapid cycling, would you try it.
Avatar n tn When I do not take Quetiapine thee is no chance that I will sleep, is there any natural remedies that will help me sleep?
Avatar m tn Hi there. I have had tachycardia for a long time which is normally around 120 bpm but last night I took my pulse just before I went to bed and it was at 150 bpm. This was at resting. I had an ECG a while ago which was normal. Also I have lost a bit of weight recently and can now feel my pulse in my abdomen just below the ribcage. I am 29, am taking quetiapine as without I don't sleep at all and weigh around 90kg. Just wondering if I should do anything about this?
644988 tn?1236364548 Update. Hi. My dissociative moments have receded and I've ha a week or so of being in agood mood and really productive; more so than for over a year. I increased my bedtime dose of quetiapine but found I was feeling "wired" with irritability and anger in the afternoons/evenings. My sleeps are short (five to six hours at the moment despite the increased quetiapine). In view of this, I've re-added a morning dose of quetiapine and now things seem better..
