Abilify still has the possibility to cause weight gain as well as anxiety, insomnia and agitation. As you said it is trial and error and the doctor is basing her decisions on her clinical expertise on how to treat you in the best manner possible as well as trying to minimize the side effects. Quetiapine and Zeldox are not recommended to take together so you should check with your doctor regarding that.

s got 2 docs (the GP treating the thyroid, and the mental health team prescribing the Quetiapine), but they don't seem to be communicating at all. Does anyone have any ideas? The symptoms just don't seem to make sense, and she's getting really scared. Thanks a lot!

I'm in the Uk and currently taking Quetiapine, Depakote and Lamotrigine. The Quetiapine for me was prescribed for rage and agitation, I don't feel any anti depressant properties from it, but it has saved my life. Lamotrigine was prescribed 7 weeks ago and I feel a lot better, I am doing things that I didn't think I'd ever feel I could do again. Nobody has ever specified what type of Bp I have, I have symptoms from across the spectrum, I have mixed episodes.

50 every other day for about 4 months, my panic got so far worse than before, so i wen to see a neurologist, he put me straight away on valdoxan and quetiapine 25mg, took only valdoxan for 2 weeks i had'nt been able to have a good night sleep, my doc said to take half a quetiapine at bed time but also gave me zolpidem, my ansiety is great that none of these make sleep well, my question is: are this the withdrawal symptoms of the clonopil and how long will i have to put up with them?

Anyone with this problem can really benefit from learning CBT. Unfortunately psychiatrists do not teach it usually. Do you have access to a psychologist that could help you with this? OCD is really a mind game we play on ourselves and we need to learn how to stop the thoughts, control our anxiety with breathing techniques and/or meditation, and self-coach our way through these things. In short, we need to retrain our brain.

t just start taking it, but who knows maybe he has some secret wisdom that tells him that this will control my depression and anxiety... though he did say it was to help with the anxiety (arguing out scenarios of what will go wrong in my head and just plan scaring the sh*t out of myself over things that aren't likely to happen) he did not mention it being for depression. Has any one reduced and successfully stopped taking quetiapine? were there any horrible withdrawal symptoms or return of symptoms? I am feeling scared I must say.

I have been on 200mg Sertraline and 250mg Quetiapine for about 18 months, (and countless other meds before this over the years) but after being stable for about 12 months my Psychiatrist suggested reducing my Sertraline to 150mg. Almost immediately my anxiety got worse, so my gp said to increase it again and we would try again in a few months. A couple of times over the last few months I have had the strangest feelings, like nothing I've had before - and I feel like this at the minute.

I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.

I am currently taking Lamotrigine, Prazosin, and Quetiapine. I have also been diagnosed with H. Pylori, I was wondering if I could take Prevacid with these other medications? I have tried everything else and this would be a last resort.

If you look up Quetiapine withdrawal symptoms, the list is LONG and contains extremely unpleasant physical and mental side effects. I don’t reslly know why your doctor wouldn’t have you slowly come off of it with such a strong medication and I’m not surprised that you felt really crappy. In my opinion it’s not only unwise in respects to your process of overcoming your illness, but very dangerous with the withdrawal symptoms it can give.

Will I lose the weight I have put on whilst on citalopram and quetiapine once I stop taking these medicines?

Update. Hi. My dissociative moments have receded and I've ha a week or so of being in agood mood and really productive; more so than for over a year. I increased my bedtime dose of quetiapine but found I was feeling "wired" with irritability and anger in the afternoons/evenings. My sleeps are short (five to six hours at the moment despite the increased quetiapine). In view of this, I've re-added a morning dose of quetiapine and now things seem better..

I am currently on 200mg Quetiapine and 30mg Cipralex in the morning. 100mg Quetiapine at noon, and 300mg Quetiapine at night, along with 50mg Clonazapam. I tried taking Zeldox, as I gained a lot of weight from the Quetiapine, but the Dr. made it an add on and kept me on the Quetiapine as well. I had very bad side effects, and got off the Zeldox immediately. I told my doctor about it, and she changed the Zeldox, which was 80mg daily to Abilify, which I take 10mg in the morning and 10mg at noon.

I went to my doctor and he prescribed me Quetiapine; and drug used to treat Schizophrenia and Bi-Polar disorder. Obviously, he does not know me as I show very little to zero symptoms of Bi-Polar disorder. I guess my question comes next. I have felt nauseous day in and day out; especially in the mornings and at night time. I have body twitches, clenched jaw, racing heart, skipped beats, night sweats, lack of sleep, constant pictures running through my mind, the whole shabang.

My sleep HR goes into the 50s and up and about is under 100, perhaps in the 70s if sitting and typing, like now. A resting HR over 100 should be treated, I understand.

What is the lethal dose of aripiprazole, quetiapine and lamotrigine? Mix of them.

I was prescribed tramadol for pain do to an injury and I take citalopram and quetiapine for depression. I also have emphysema and use advair.

I am right now at just 0.085mg/day and planning to be free by the end of this year. I am now struggling with anxiety and mild insomnia mainly due to withdrawal. Dr. wants me to take 25mg of Seroquel (quetiapine) per day. Do you think this is a good decision? I do not want to be addicted or dependent on any psych drug, and I have heard that quetiapine also is a drug that causes addiction and withdrawal symptoms..

I have been on Quetiapine for 3 yrs and have had the same problem. It doesn't matter what the temperture is I just break out in a sweat.. I'm still not used to it. I've tried getting my pdoc to take me off of it but he feels that it is working for me. So I just tolerate it.

Yes I know I need to maybe start seeing a good Psychiatrist to get to the bottom of my Anxiety and Depression. Doc suggested Seroquel and starting on a very low dose...to aid with my Effexor. My problem is that the Anxiety is bad...effecting my work and life in general. I am frustrated with taking baby steps. What is the dose for treatment of such disorders and not just a low dose for sleeping?

yes it was a therapist who prescribed me quetiapine he said i should have counseling and do some sort of theripy but they havnt been in contact with me since april and i feel as im gettin older i need to sort this once and for all....
