I would be inclined to take her to the vet anyway, because throwing up bile is not a sign that the puppy is hungry, it's a sign that something is amiss. It could be anything. An upset stomach, an infection, a foreign body...etc Did you, or the people you got your puppy from make sure she had her vaccinations? I wonder what the black thing was? Was it an object of any kind? If she had swallowed some object, she would be likely to vomit it back (which is the best-case scenario.
c and lake colors (yellow 6, blue 2, red 40, yellow 5) Fiber (estimated dry matter content) = 4.5% Red items when present indicate controversial ingredients The first ingredient in this dog food is corn. Now, contrary to what you may have heard, corn isn’t necessarily a bad ingredient. On the other hand, although there’s no way to know for sure here, the corn used in making many pet foods can be similar to the kind used to make feed for livestock. And that can sometimes be problematic.
My 8 month shih tzu has been throwing up bright yellow bile every other day. Sometimes he throws up in the middle of the night, but most of the time it is between 10 and 3 in the afternoon. We have recently switched his food from beneful (which his old owners had him on) to Innova Evo with chicken. I have read that this is caused by an empty stomach. He eats twice a day, and most times when he throws up he has food down, he just isnt eating it. But he seems to enjoy the food when he eats it.
My 8 week old Golden Retriever puppy just woke me up at midnight by throwing up her entire stomach contents, and yellow bile as well as having diarrhea. None of the food looked well digested and there was a stone in her vomit as well as a piece of raw meat the size of a human thumb she must have swallowed whole. She is asleep now (1 hour later) but I'm still concerned. Is this likely to be something she ate or a more serious issue?
(She's got a lot of fur) Even though she has seemed to perk up since taking the meds and she isn't throwing up anymore I can't get her to drink water. She just ignores it unless I encourage her and praise her while she drinks. I know its not parvo, I had my first puppy pass away from that and it was a god awful experience that I don't wish upon anyone. My mom was thinking it was jaundice from lack of water since she was throwing everything up.
I took her to wet, they gave her steroids and allergy medicine. I brought her home and she seemed fine but starting the next day she was throwing up this yellow liquid. I am so stupid. I thought it was because she did not want to eat her dry food and it was bile vomit (which as it turned out it was). I gave her wet food and she ate it. Things returned to normal.
My dog had what looked like a yellow jelly like poop and was throwing up white foam stuff, and she died tonight. What was the cause? She hasnt had any of her shots yet(including deworming shot). Shes maybe 8 weeks.
when he came off it..he immediately was having personality changes. up all night , antsy, restless..etc..and i posted about that . well, then he was saying his head feels all cloudy and confused and needs time apart..to figure himself out. im not sure if this is partly due to the meds. the pot he smokes constantly , the paxil.. the anxiety he is feeling over his health issues.. im at a loss..and im leaving him alone and respecting his request to be on his own.
I would see your veterinarian today. Chronic vomiting leads to dehydration which is left untreated can become quite serious. In addition, vomiting leads to pancreatitis, which in time can lead to diabetes and daily insulin injections. In addition, I would stop feeding the puppy food which apparently does not agree with your dog.You might also check the FDA pet food recall list to see if this pet food is tainted or not. The "yellow stuff" is bile from her liver.
my four month old puppy has been throwing up clear liquid for two days now and today its bright yellow. its prolly about every hour and a half or so.
Usually the massaging works, but not that night. It's like she can't breath. On top of it she started throwing up foamy bile. I thought she was gonna die in front of me the same day I lost my baby. She just hasn't seemed right since. She'll be eight in July, but she is so playful and puppy like normally, that everyone just assumes she is a puppy. Lately she just lets out these sad wimpering noises when she lays down, and seems to be having trouble breathing. We go to the vet tonight.
she is still about the same however they took that tube out from her stomach and she started throwing up alot for the past couple of days she still cant really eat anything. still not really talking either. her labs are getting better and the numbers are lowering she will be here until next week then will move.
just got a puppy today. We got a female yellow lab. She is 8 weeks old and we named her Sierra. Hopefully we can train her good, so we have a dog that does not dig holes. We just replanted our yard this spring and it is growing very well.
MAN! I loved Donny Osmond growing up! I actually had a dog named "Puppy Love"! Tony Orlando and the Dawn ?? maybe?
Road rage. I live in the middle of 3 Elementary schools. There are big yellow school busses everywhere. No matter what time of the day I go out, I am having to deal with damn school busses. Today, one school buss changed lanes with no signal, and cut me off. I had to slam on my brakes and nearly sent myself through the windshield. Thank God for seat belts. Then, a school bus made a left turn in front of me, and again I had to slam on the brakes.
Tsuki brings up some really good points. You first want a dog who will fit with your lifestyle. Breed, or even the size of the dog is not all that important, but the dog's individual personality IS. Since you have young children and are planning on expanding your family, I doubt a puppy would be the best fit for you. There are plenty of young adult dogs in shelters and rescue groups, and you'd be surprised how well-trained many of them are.
Ear cropping is a little more serious surgery, although it is still most often performed on puppies. This time, the puppy is closer to 10-16 weeks of age and intravenous and gas anesthetics are used. Breeds commonly presented for ear cropping include Dobermans, Min. Schnauzers, Boxers, Great Danes and the various Pit Bulls and their crosses. After a sterile preparation of the ear, the surgeon will make a cut down the ear and remove about half of the ear flap.
A FREAKIN HYPOALLERGENIC PUPPY........I HEARD THAT WAS BULL. THEY DONT HAVE THE PUPPY YET, DO THEY?........HMMM IS THAT OBAMA'S FIRST BROKEN PROMISE?.....
Sometimes your dog may not eat enough one night and the next morning it will throw up yellow or white foam. Then they will also puke if they eat too much, it is a delicate balance. Allergies can also be the cause. Allergies are another thing that they are sensitive towards, when my allergies act up, I take a Claritin before bed, and the dog gets half a Benadryl tablet (about 10mg). One last thing, Shih Tzu are, again, sensitive dogs. This time I am talking of their feelings.
maybe because she doesn't eat well she has some deficiency?.. She also throws up a little yellow foam in the morning once every few weeks when it happens to not have time to check if she ate all her food in the evening. I understand that is gastric acid, so I believe she sometimes doesn't eat enough.. I will be monitoring her and I really hope it turns out to be something else..something curable.
My young puppy just went through this and ended up being a stomach like flu he gave her some intestinal med to calm her stomach and after 2 days she's eats like normal
I wonder if I had brought her in after throwing up the first time, she might be here at my side. I can't live without her. She meant the world to me and I failed her.
being a little psycho that the house would be dull without it. this morning i woke up to her big yellow eyes in face. talk about freaky. she's actually been good today. so far no attacks but it is still early.... i really do think i'm going to write a book about her.
she's was throwing up the week before like twice a day about for a week i gave her Kaopectate twice a day for 2 days and she has not thrown up again. now just bloated. I made her apt. I tried to make her appointment for vet exam was $54 I could have done that but if they wanted to do anything else to help her it could have been 100 200 300 400. I do not have that at this time. so I had to cancel her appointment and make it on Friday which is 4 days away I hope she can wait.
I also has the same problems with my yellow labrador puppy, he doesn't sleep at night, only if I scoot down near his sleeping area and wait for 30 min. for him to sleep. After an hour he's awake again and super active, that he wakes me up to play. He also prefers to sleep in the morning for awful long hours I guess 5 hours or so. And even if you wake him up or try to play with him, he won't budge and just keep on sleeping. He also has a very small appetite. Please tell me what to do?
) as the fire was heading straight for our house. we were in there all of 5 minutes when it filled up with smoke. i lost it!! i started throwing up i was that scared. all i could say over and over was my babies my babies. i seriously thought we were all going to die. not even sorta think. i really really thought we were dead. i had wet towels over all the kids faces and it was a long 15 mins before the smoke started going away. then we all decided we should open the door and look out.
Even with a creatine level of 13, she was still rolling in the grass, watching the seagulls and geese I hope she was thinking of her fun times.) We managed to rest a short while, then she started throwing up horrible yellow and green fluids. Dry heaves that was nearly killing her. WHAT CAN I DO FOR HER, IT IS SO LONG UNTIL 11:00 AND HER SUFFERING ENDS. I am holding her as she is dry heaving, she has a seizure, (first one-lasted only seconds) Her tongue is turning black.
