puppy throwing up undigested food

Last night when we went to bed she was fine, but this morning around 3am she threw up. It started out just food now it has moved to large amounts of blood. She has thrown up 7 times and 4 were bright red blood. She is just laying there and won't move. I just got a boxer puppy that is 4 mos old and I am scared that maybe Molli has gotten something from the new puppy. What should I do?

Make sure it is a name brand food and a PUPPY food (I personally LOVE the purina proplan diets). Another question, are her stools irregular? Do you notice undigested food, a shiny film to the feces? It can be normal for puppies to always want food because they are growing. With her being a large breed dog, it is important for her to have high quality food, but to restrict her feeding to small, regular meals so that she doesn't grow too quickly and develop orthopedic problems.

Hello....Karla is right, if the puppy is throwing up a lot it can cause dehydration and you don't want to mess around with that. You definitely want to see a vet as soon as you can, it can be something minor like a change in diet/food or something serious. Keep the puppy hydrated and watch what he eats, personally i'd start him on a bland diet as a precaution....good luck!!!

Is she ok now? Or still sick? A pup who throws up more than once or twice needs to go to the vet because there is the danger of dehydration. Puppies are more susceptible. I would be inclined to take her to the vet anyway, because throwing up bile is not a sign that the puppy is hungry, it's a sign that something is amiss. It could be anything. An upset stomach, an infection, a foreign body...etc Did you, or the people you got your puppy from make sure she had her vaccinations?

he is continuously vomiting or throwing undigested food...for which i gave him parinorm to cure vomiting...and he is very lethargic and never play or run...he is drinking water excessively and then vomiting watever he has eaten wit a white foamy thing...before this his condition was very critical and was on drip for three days...and was given a syrup gramogyl...for vomiting and loads of injections by my vet for fever...i am very tensed about him please help !!!

Could definitely be a hairball, but if she likes to play with cardboard, it could be a piece of cardboard. Hairball remedies are usually some kind of laxative like petroleum jelly mixed with malt for flavor, to stick to the hairball and glide it down.

I ate dinner at 8 tacos but only ate one...I went to bed around 9 and woke up at 5 throwing up like crazy...and it's the food I ate but I'm still throwing up water juice and whatever I eat.

And if i dont go 5 to 6 times a day, the nausea I feel is horrible, throwing up things I ate 12 - 16 hours prior,undigested. Because he had worms so bad the vet wants to give him another treatment of the Revolution, He is on dry cat food and water. He begs for food all the time and we cannot leave food out on the counter as he is (dumpster diving) here in the kitchen. I am very concerned about the throwing up. m a 21 year old female, this past year1/2 I have delt with early morning sickness (throwing up undigested food if I wake up earlier) or I generally just get a stomach ache every morning.
