A baby stops drinking breast milk when there full...usually the breast produce according to how muxh they eat. I used to pump my breast milk to make sure its all out so that you continue producing...and also pump the breast that the baby didnt eat from to prevent engulgement...it can hurt like hell lol. It takes time and practice but have fun...eat healthy and drink lots of water. Good luck!!

I have a question for all the moms out there. I am 39 weeks tomorrow it will be my second daughter my 1st is now 7 years old. With my 1st I did not breastfeed at all not in the hospital or out of the hospital she was on formula from day one. My question is now with my second I still do not plan on breastfeeding from my breasts it not something thats gonna ever be on my agenda, but I do want to pump and bottle feed.

Okay. I need somebody to explain to me, well, everything. I just decided that I'll be pumping milk for my baby girl. I've been reading and studying, and I'm really excited about trying it. Nothing has been more depressing than going from making 10-12oz on average to barely pumping 4oz. My baby is only 2 weeks old. I don't understand how my milk supply has run out so fast. I want to cry. I am mostly pumping because my daughter has the hardest time latching. And bottle feeding is a lot easier due to schedules. Do any of you already moms have any tips to up your milk production?

Nothing wrong with pumping and bottle feeding. The important thing is getting them the breast milk.

Just wondering if any moms for certain reasons stopped breastfeeding n pumping for a short amount of time and were able to go back to it, with or without the help of somethin. I stopped bc my milk wasn't comin in enough so i kinda gave up hope. But tooday i heard about some pills that you can take to increase milk flow. Just wondering if any moms had any success in starting up breastfeeding again. Like what helped ststart you milk flow again, if it makes any sense.

Pumping or any nipple stimulation can bring labor on.

Fennel essential oil around the breast will increase milk production. Fenugreek, mother's milk tea, brewers yeast, lactation cookies, maxi milk, plenty of water and frequent nursing or pumping.

I've heard that too but I wouldn't recommend doing it. The formula and breast milk together could mess the baby's stomach up. But it all depends on your baby! You can mix it but I wouldn't recommend doing it.

Your breast milk will only dry up when no longer stimulated to produce more...

Medala double electric!! The Swing version is what's covered by insurance but outta not nearly as effective. I talked to many moms when I waslooking for one myself and they all recommended the Medela double electric. give me the option of doing one side or both and if you can't breastfeed it's best to give the baby breast milk in a bottle instead of formula, so keep a picture of the baby nearby if you're pumping at work and it would hurt you or let down.

So lately when I pump I.noticed my right has been putting out more milk than my left and that only 1 or 2 pores are releasing milk but on my right there's a bunch of pores where milk comes out of when I finish pumping my left still is full and heavy...

How do you go about doing this, I plan to breast and formula feed my baby because I know that breast milk lacks vitamin D...(proven fact) ...plus I'm not sure that I will be able to pump like that...and her dad wants to take part in feeding her...I was wondering how some.of you ladies did this?? I have the Mandela or linolin cream for the nipples and I started rubbing breast milk on my nipple too. I want to keep breast feeding for a while. My baby was born Friday will it continue to be this way for a while or is it supposed to be painless now?

Pumped your breast milk and given that and formula, but never breastfed because of personal issues or whatever? How did that work out for you??? Did it work out or did you eventually end up just using formula?

I plan to breastfeed my baby, and since i'm already producing colostrum at 18 weeks im assuming I'll have no problem. I understand that the baby needs a vitamin D supplement since breast milk doesn't have it. Where do i get that and what is it? A vitamin or drops or something? i don't know what the vitamin D comes in.

32 pm it was a 30 min delivery very fast got here at ghe hospital at 2 something pm im not getting any breast milk any ways i can get breast milk my bby really needs it he was 3 weeks premature & is i special care
