symbicort

Avatar m tn My doctor prescribed Pulmicort Respules and gave me a Neilmed irrigator to apply the dose. Do I fill the Neilmed with water and pour the respule in the water and mix, and then apply? Or do I just put one respule in the irrigator and irrigate without diluting? There are no directions...I'm guessing that I dilute the solution but does that impact efficacy?
Avatar n tn Since we know the medicine is safe for use in very young children from Pulmicort Respules™ (budesonide inhalation suspension) the most likely reason they chose 6 and above was because many children less than age 6 would not be able to use this delivery device effectively. The recommended dose for this age group is 180 mcg via Flexhaler twice daily, but up to 360 mcg twice daily is deemed acceptable.
Avatar f tn He said that he must have gotten some sort of virus and it triggered his asthma. He told me to continue his Singulair, Pulmicort Respules one time a day, Xopenex in the nebulizer every four hours, and he prescribed Prednisone two times per day (dr. said to start the steroid only if the cough does not slow down). So on Wednesday morning, my son woke up at 6:30am coughing non-stop....coughing so much that he vomited!
Avatar f tn The second attack caused him to be hospitalized during treatment because he was not responding well to 3 doses of albuterol via nebulizer and had low oxygen sat. (88%). Both of the epsiodes occured during a cold/virus. My Dr. is reccomending a once daily pulmicort treatment for prevention purposes. I am a little hesitant to be giving him this at such a young age and only a short time of displaying these symtoms.
Avatar n tn ) I took him back to his doctor and she said it was indeed his asthma and gave us a Pulmicort Flexhaler, 180mcg. She told me (and put it on his asthma plan) to have him use the Pulmicort Flexhaler twice, two times a day and to try it for a month Since then, I've read online that the Flexhaler should be given to children who are 4 with extreme caution and I've read that 180 mcg is the typically recommended dose to start off with.
Avatar f tn I have recently changed my preventor from flixotide to pulmicort as when I was on flixotide I was finding that I felt like I had to take deep breaths all the time. Once I swapped preventors it improved and has now been approximately 4 months and has come back. I feel like I have to yawn all the time to get a deep breath in. I have also had a croaky voice for nearly 2 months and can't figure out why. I work in child care and have not had any cold or flu symptoms.
746512 tn?1388807580 I am already using 800mcg of pulmicort a day and even at that level it has been giving me muscle cramps and messing up my period, so I don't want to increase it. Any comments? Or things I could try?
Avatar f tn s been hospitalized a few times with bronchiolitis when he was 1 years old. The typical treatment has been 2ce a day pulmicort and 3xs a day to every 4 hours of albuterol. If that didn't work they would add predisone and sometimes zithromax. And those combos knocked it out. Well he now has 3 weeks of a rattling cough that just doesn't go away. They said no wheeze and we've been doing the pulmicort and albuterol. Well it isnt' helping. So the ped feels we'll add Singulair.
Avatar f tn Dear All, My son is three years old, sometimes he has a constant cough and I use for him 1ml combivent and 1ml pulmicort in the nublizer, these days combivent is out of stock, can i use pulmicort alone and what is the recommended dosage. Please advise.

746512 tn?1388807580 t want to take my rescue inhaler all the time because it gives me wicked muscle cramps and makes me loopy and really tired. I also take 400umg of pulmicort twice a day. Is there anything I should do; call my doctor, up my pulmicort dose or just wait the weather out? Thanks for the input.
Avatar f tn Ok, so I have seen people mention that they clip coupons and I periodically see stories on tv where a person is able to cut a $200 grocery bill down to $50 by using coupons! How is this done and where do you get the coupons from? Do you have any internet sites you would recommend or do you get coupons from another source?
9137321 tn?1402710290 Do any of you ladies coupon and if so where do you get your ton of coupons????? I want to so bad it I cannot get enough coupons....
Avatar n tn Enfamil sends you free samples of formula and coupons gerber sends you coupons. Similac is supposed to but I've yet to see them send me stuff.. huggies, pampers, and luvs will send you stuff too!
7558356 tn?1410715309 I also have 2 coupons for $2 off Dreft, both expire on 8/27 ! I have tons of Dreft and will not use these coupons!
Avatar f tn Similac and Gerber both send out coupons for formulas but Similac actually sent me bottles, coupons for bottles, and sample cans of formula. You don't receive any of the coupons or anything until you are close to your due date. I just googled free baby items and a ton of pages had info on what sites to go to for free items.
Avatar f tn Another idea is to go on the diapers websites pampers huggies so on and sign up for coupons. Also if u plan on formula feeding u can get coupons for those too! I used gerber for my daughter and they would send me 5.00 off and so on and as she got older they sent coupons for baby food as well. I know some other baby formula company's also do the coupons if u want something other then gerber.
Avatar n tn I have an 8 year old son that takes pulmicort, and just finished Orapred when I noticed a little bump in the back of his head. He scratches it alot, and I was told by the doctor to put cortizone on it. Because he had asthma, he more than likely had eczema. About a week later, his little bump turned into a big knot, and you can see it if he turns to the side. It itches more now that it has gotten bigger. I don't think it is eczema, but who am I? I am not a doctor.
2003690 tn?1332391603 huggies has a mailing list and does occasionally send out samples, but mostly coupons...pampers sends coupons too!! I know you were asking abt free, but most compenies just send coupons!! It's a bummer, I know..I LOVE free stuff!! Lol..
