We are wanting to try again and since it took 3 yrs to get pregnant this last time we are curious if I will get pregnant faster now....

The factors associated with high myopia include premature birth or low birth weight, heredity, racial characteristics, prolonged near work, not going outdoors often as youth. The IOP always fluctuates, varying from hour to hour with about a 6-8 point range in normal non glaucoma eyes to as much as 10-20 in glaucoma or glaucoma suspect eyes. The vitreous liquifes faster in high myopia but IOP is not a factor in this.

On April 2nd I made the decision to admit myself to a psychiatric hospital due to a psychotic episode. The thing that I'm having the hardest time comprehending is if I induced the episode or not. I convinced myself that I was covered in fleas, I heard voices saying my name and calling me worthless in the past, & I experienced paranoia. I don't know what to think right now. I wish I could know if I made the symptoms worse or not...

can anyone share their experiences with psychotic mania or bipolar with psychotic features? i have no idea where mine are heading but they are here, and they are not backing down.

my 22 year old son just experienced a psychotic break. I need to understand how he was feeling. Is there anyone who has personally experienced this, and would be willing to describe what you felt? I am desperate to understand what he is going through.

5 which I feel fine.. As of late I have been waking up with what my friend believes is psychotic episodes, moments of ultra confusion for me as I usually have no recolection. It is now getting to the point where I could hurt myself as I thrash about and walk into walls. I had a CT Scan which showed no problem. Not every breakdown is psychotic. I had a complete mental breakdown about 16 years ago or so which lead to 3 years of crushing depression - my illness course leaves me prone to this type of breakdown. However not being on meds? Dont know - i went nearly 15 years not on meds and i thought i was fine until I wasnt and went psychotic manic, so you might be fine for a long time as well. And I wasnt fine, I was hypomanic and looking back had at least 3 mini breakdowns and burnouts in that time.

I am currently recovering from a severe depression with suicide ideation in which i apparently had psychotic symptoms. Has anyone else had psychosis without knowing what it was until speaking to your therapist about what was going on? and does anyone have any advice as to what to look for in oneself when psychosis starts?

My pdoc yesterday told me it's possible to have a psychotic break from too severe anxiety. This scares me bad, what is that? Does that mean I'll go crazy and hurt someone? Myself? Has anyone ever had one of these? Also is there anyone here that has had several months of severe anxiety, then slowly goes back to several months of calm? I'm afraid this feeling will last forever. Just to make sure I'm experiencing this "anxiety" what does it feel like to u all?

Concerns: My daughter is 14 yrs.. She attends a youth group on a weekly sometimes biweekly basis. She came to me last night and told me she made a new friend. This new friend is soon to be 18 yrs old and appears to be a boy but is really female. I told my daughter that the relationship/friendship is inappropriate and they she can't continue to befriend this person. My daughter became very upset and starting crying and through a sort of tantrum and said I cant stop them from being friends.

I now know I always had behavior that was unusual and somewhat abnormal since I was a child, first started having psychotic thoughts when I was 13 and then at the age of 18 had a full psychotic break. I never really felt like myself until I started that treatment in clinical study but once I did could look back and see that I always had behavior patterns and obsessions that were markedly abnormal.

As a person who has recovered from schizoaffective disorder with an experimental antipsychotic in Phase II FDA study (read through my posts if you wish) I can say in having exprienced thoughts like that before recovery that they sound psychotic to me. It should be noted that I have schizoaffective disorder and with the bipolar aspect of schizoaffective disorder when I was put on Anafranil which is similar to Prozac it made me psychotic. The same is true of bipolar.

Hypomania is distinguished from mania by the absence of psychotic symptoms. In other words if there are psychotic features its mania. BP2's can get psychotic features in mania the same as anyone does. Is this what you are referring to on the Black Dog Site ?

I think that bipolar disorder can be with or without psychotic features. Since you seem to be having some psychosis then I would say you have it with. I think they have to observe you over time to get an acurate diagnosis. Therefor you would have to meet the diagnostic creiteria outlined in the DSM IV to recieve a diagnosis.

Hello all, I would like to request the addition of Seroquel (quetiapine) which is an anti-psychotic to the mood tracker. Seroquel is very commonly prescribed for the treatment of both manic and depressive episodes of bipolar disorder.

It really sounded like you were trying to induce labour because you were over it, and with the title of the post being faster labour, it was easy to assume that's what you were implying. I wasnt trying being rude or anything in my post i was just trying to give information on the post the way i read it. But to answer your question you won't go into labour by exercise, but you shouldn't strain yourself. Swimming and walking are recommended forms of exercise whilst pregnant.

My mom told me to drink 2 spoons of ''cafe listo'' instantaneous coffee with a little of water only. That's what she did with all of us to help dilated faster. .n it worked. ..as soon as i start having contraction of my water brake I def going to drink that.

The muscles especially in the uterus have done this stretching before and so it definitely happens faster the second time around. My nine-week belly is pretty visible in some of my clothes already (thankfully not my work scrubs though!!
