2 days after the biopsy was done, i noticed that there was a white string like tissue that was just barely hanging out of the biopsy site. when i pulled on it, it came out a little bit, and receded back into my skin when i let go of it. i am 100% sure that it was not a stitch as the stitches i had were only purple , and the Dr did not put any dissolving stitches in me.
It feels like a taught metal cord has been snapped, like a thick base guitar string but the sound does not linger. Its a metallic sound and I can almost feel it when it happens. I never suffered any trauma to by head or ears. I have seen my GP, neurosurgeon, ENT and there appears to be no structural damage. No brain tumor. Nothing that shows up on imaging. I always forget to ask the neuro and plan on doing so next wee.

Yeah with my last two I had they ripped me too and the last one when they stitched me up they did it wrong and left the string hanging so much it kept getting caught everywhere and I kept hurting myself so bad! On my follow up told my doctor but there was nothing they could do but just wait till it healed and the string came off on its own.

I took him to the vet and they took an x-ray and there was nothing on the end of the string but his intestines were all scrunched togther. CSF is clear and has slightly metallic taste. If you can catch some it can be tested to see if it has beta transferrin in it.
Ive had many leak work ups. In several,, the doc inserted three pledglets, into various sinuses thru each nostril. They r these cottony things with a string, to catch the fluid. it's not pretty having those nose tampons hanging out of your schnogger but....it's one way.

I had a urethral stint removed after having it in for 3months and when I woke up from the procedure the doc had told me I had no more leakage but that my bladder was narrow and that she had to place a balloon in my bladder and that she left the string hanging out for me to pull it in 1 week at home and hopefully that would fix the problem.We are going to have a ultrasound done afterwards to see how it looks.
if you feel it at all inside when you walk etc its not in correctly or up far enough. always check the string is hanging down and change 3 to 4 hourly. if easier use non applicator 1s, you just push up yourself with your finger. instead of feet apart b4 insertion another way is put 1 foot on the toilet seat or edge of bath and do it that way.
