I am a classical music freak, at least I was . do you find you listen all the time I seem to have times of listening and times when I dont at all for weeks.I watched Adre Riieu on TV the other night , I am not really into the Waltz but the cultural exchange from Vienna was wonderfully relaxing on my frayed nerves.

Music don't change my mood although I enjoy it. Having emotional responses to music doesn't have anything to do with bipolar. I keep hearing things like this, being bipolar makes you more creative, more sensitive, now more responsive to music. At the same time sometimes during a manic period I will get on my bike attached to a wind trainer and ride a a relatively light pace for hours listening to classical music as I burn of the extra energy? Anyone else use music in this way to help avoid mania or depression?

2 - 3 weeks post a possible exposure to HIV i've developed symptoms of an unexplained weakness, Heat in around the facial area, feverishness & fatigue, painful lower teeth & jaw area.....& intermittent headaches....Could these be classical symptoms of ARS & it;s the timing of the symptoms that seem to be quite worrysome....especially from the 2 nd - 3rd week mark they were intense...now seem to be gradually reducing......could i be seroconverting ?????

On April 2nd I made the decision to admit myself to a psychiatric hospital due to a psychotic episode. The thing that I'm having the hardest time comprehending is if I induced the episode or not. Not every breakdown is psychotic. I had a complete mental breakdown about 16 years ago or so which lead to 3 years of crushing depression - my illness course leaves me prone to this type of breakdown. However not being on meds? Dont know - i went nearly 15 years not on meds and i thought i was fine until I wasnt and went psychotic manic, so you might be fine for a long time as well. And I wasnt fine, I was hypomanic and looking back had at least 3 mini breakdowns and burnouts in that time.

My pdoc yesterday told me it's possible to have a psychotic break from too severe anxiety. This scares me bad, what is that? Does that mean I'll go crazy and hurt someone? Myself?
