Now I still cannot shave with a razor or even closely with an electric razor as I get the same reaction. I have to shave to a stuble and ill get a cotton mouth for about an hour.

Can anyone please help? My mother is 72 years old. She had an ICD implanted in October of 2009. On January 4, 2010, her ICD went off 37 times in 20 minutes due to fatal v-tach. Her cardiologist put her on amiodorone and lopressor. She came home January 15, 2010, and the medicine is working.

My doctor changed my medicine to another anti-psychotic, and my pupils stopped getting large.

Well, I'm not sure about that. Antipsychotics don't work right away. Tranquilizers do. Antipsychotics, if they do work, work all the time. Tranquilizes only work for a short period of time and then wear off. If she took this as an antipsychotic injection, it would be during an emergency situation but she would have to take the shots for several months and then go on the medication for longer than that.

ve been diagnosed bipolar for about 2 years. I get horrible depression because of my bipolar. I recently had a really bad reaction to pot. REALLY bad. I almost killed myself, screamed at my friends, and vomited for 2 days. No one else that smoked it had a bad reaction. I haven't had a medication change recently. I'm on lamictal, seroquel, wellbutrin, cymbalta, and adderall. I don't know what happened. It wasn't laced or else everyone would have gotten sick.

The weight gain is more likely the result of Risperdal, an anti-psychotic medication that often produces dramatic weight gain. That medication was likely prescribed to address the volatile behavior, not to address the seizure disorder. If his behavior is not under good control you can expect ongoing problems, and the fact that you are continuing to witness serious difficulties invites further evaluation.

No thanks.....I would look at a different avenue. The narcotic pain meds are too addictive physically and psychologically.

I have bipolar 1 with psychotic features. Is there any anti psychotic that doesn't make you gain weight? I am on risperdal consta 25 mg, and I have gained 35 pounds in 10 months. I am not on any other medication, and yet I keep on gaining weight. Does all the anti psychotic make you gain weight? Is there any anti psychotic that doesn't make you gain weight?

Meaning you could definitely see the reaction. He repeated the reflex test three more times on both knees. Same reaction every time. The last two times were on bare skin......same reaction. The first two times were done through yoga pants BTW. I am just wondering if this difference in responses could be an indication of anything? Hi, I have what can only be described as a shooting pain down the middle of the inside of my upper lip. It is almost like an electric current running right down the middle of my lip. When I run my tongue along my lip, I can feel almost like a thread running from the very top of my lip (inside bottom of my nose) right down to the very tip of my lip. My lip then swell up. This is the second time that this has happened me within the last few months.

I have the medela electric double pump so far I love it.

Has anyone out there had a Psychotic Reaction to Lexapro during first week of treatment? I was given it for acute anxiety, within 24 hrs it crashed my into depression, I have suffered mild attacks of depression in the past, but nothing like this.

Many people, even on this board, have had similar reactions to having an EMG/NCS done. Being that the body works by electrical pathways and chemicals, it isn't surprising that interrupting or adding to them with more electric pulsations could lead to some further temporary spasms and pain. If it continues to be a problem, I'd be sure to mention it to the neurologist and or your primary MD. Good luck!

a year ago i was totally normal , smoked hashish then i felt electric sparks like sensation for a moment and then very high and panic attacks i felt just once these elctric sparks/shocks sensations in my life...and now facing with severe anxiety ,panic disorder and depression...and i used a lot of medications but useless anyone else??? and what's the treatment???

She said it is almost like an anxiety reaction, but, with the electric shocks. Evertything else is normal. This has been going on for 4-6 months. Is this comon for nocturnal epilepsy? Any advise would be greatly apprieciated.

So I'm taking 40mg of Geodon for bipolar, though no psychotic symptoms. Now I know bipolar alone should deter me from taking mushrooms, and honestly I'm sure it will. And I know mixing recreational drugs with psychatric meds is a bad idea. Nevertheess, I have a question concerning the interaction between Geodon and psilocybin. From what I've read, psilocybin is an agonist to the 5HT2 serotonin receptor, which I assume means that it increases serotonin.

I suppose anyone can have a strange reaction to something but I've never heard of marijuana producing a psychotic reaction. People will have their underlying mood exaggerated by it, so if your son is anxious marijuana might make him more so. Much more so. And that can set off conditioned thinking, so such people should avoid it. But it sounds like something else to me or what you're describing isn't accurate, just an acute thing going on between the two of you.
