psychotic pineapple last fm

I also developed sciatica which I thought was FM and have been on gabapentin for last 5 yrs(works good)...I found out this is totally unrelated to FM...but rather neuropathy from degenerative disk disease. and was put on oxycontin. my leg muscles have become progressively worse lately...they are so stiff and painful I walk straight legged and waddle, they ache constantly. Is this a worsening of FM? and if so what do people use that really works?

Hi I'm new to this site and I've had FM for most of my life (over 40 yrs) and I don't get the severe spasms in my fingers but I have lots of pain, and I've gone through 2 surgeries (both thumbs) due to tenosynovitis where the tendon gets so inflamed it gets stuck and has to be surgically cut. Very painful. It can happen to any finger and once it begins it is very difficult to reverse.

The pain in the upper neck and occipital is so violent and can last for days..do you think i should push to get a scan?

I finally found one that would and was diagnosed last November. My primary physician told me that I needed to get a job so that I had other things to do than worry about my symptoms. Took me a few years to get over that, but I finally decided to find someone new. Have you asked you psychologist to recommend someone to you? A call to your doctor from him/her might be helpful as well.

I am having the same trouble with my neck, it starts in the back of my neck goes along my shoulder and into my arm. Has even caused some numbness. I was diagnosed with FM last summer but pretty sure I've had it much longer than that. I recently had an MRI to find out what is going on with my neck, shoulder and arm. I was thinking that it is part of the FM but more severe in that area.

Hi there~ i was diagnosed with probable FM this past Thursday. I was actually concerned about MS and never really thought about FM. My mother had it. The nuero started me on 50 mg of Lyrica and I am to increase it to 100 mg in about a week. I go in 2 weeks for a nerve conduction study and I am to go have some blood work this week. I am not complaining about the Dr.

I have FM for over 12 years now, I've read numerous books, I belong to the National Fibromyalgia Network, The Fibromyalgia Association, and follow the latest research on many aspects of FM. These include, medical and pharmaceutical research. There is NO evidence that people with FM have brains that age faster. There is a neurological aspect to FM that can affect our brains. Our neurotransmitters may not be firing right to put it simply.

I have been told it was FM for the last 10 yrs but a relative with MS is so like mine and has some of the same pain issues I have and balance problems that people wonder if I dont also have MS.. The MRI (2nd in 2 yrs) shows only a small white spot that they say is not MS and had no clue what it was on there. I have been back in to a neuro who has also said it is FM with all the things happening but he is being very watchful for the other things that have started to happen and tracking htem.

today for dinner we decided to make hamburgers with grilled pineapple. we bought fresh pineapple and as i was cutting it i was eating some (bout 1 hr ago) as i was eating dinner i started getting cramps and am still getting some like every 10-15 mins maybe they last like 2-5 mins. could it be that maybe i may have eatin to much?

Trauma can cause FM but I would rule out other possibilities as well. Get mri's of ur whole back to see if sum of ur problems srem from spinal issues. Also, get several opinions from different drs. Best of luck to u hun!!!!

My pdoc yesterday told me it's possible to have a psychotic break from too severe anxiety. This scares me bad, what is that? Does that mean I'll go crazy and hurt someone? Myself? Has anyone ever had one of these? Also is there anyone here that has had several months of severe anxiety, then slowly goes back to several months of calm? I'm afraid this feeling will last forever. Just to make sure I'm experiencing this "anxiety" what does it feel like to u all?
