6708370 tn?1471490210 I understand that this is a social side of the Hep C boards, as I have been around here a long time. I also understand why people post the quotes and jokes and please understand, I was not trying to criticize anyone about it. It, personally, is not my thing, but it's fine if it helps other people. Just like on Facebook, I see lots of quotes and sayings that people post, but I just skim over them, because it's just not something that I want to take the time out to read.

Avatar f tn I am currently recovering from a severe depression with suicide ideation in which i apparently had psychotic symptoms. 12268405 tn?1427853361 On April 2nd I made the decision to admit myself to a psychiatric hospital due to a psychotic episode. The thing that I'm having the hardest time comprehending is if I induced the episode or not. I convinced myself that I was covered in fleas, I heard voices saying my name and calling me worthless in the past, & I experienced paranoia. I don't know what to think right now. I wish I could know if I made the symptoms worse or not...

Avatar f tn My son has been diagnosed with ADHD since 3. He is now 11. He also might have BPD. He's been on numerous medications to control the mood disorder (more difiant than anything) and ADHD. He is currently taking Abilify and Vyvanse. We have good days and bad. He's always been kind of afraid to be alone, particularly at night. Sometimes he wants to sleep with me (divorced Mom), but I tell him he's too old to sleep with his mama.
Avatar m tn my 22 year old son just experienced a psychotic break. I need to understand how he was feeling. Is there anyone who has personally experienced this, and would be willing to describe what you felt? I am desperate to understand what he is going through.
222267 tn?1253302210 I have recently started alienating people in my life. All my friends I no longer like and have no desire to hang out with. I have mostly shut my boyfriend out. We are getting along and stuff I just don't want to be around anyone. I feel like I live with this disease by myself and it makes me not want to be around anyone who isn't in my same mind set. I tend to not like people and don't have a need to impress people at all. Does anyone else do this? I'm not depressed.
Avatar f tn Just curious when people started telling people (close friends and family) that they are expecting! I'm so excited and want to shout on top of the roof!!
Avatar f tn Do all people with bipolar or any other mental illnesses suffer from a breakdown? I for one never had one. I was speaking to a social worker and he told me in my case it may because I have the support or maybe I have some sort of control that enables me to make it pass the days. He also seem surprise because I am not on meds. I told him they bring on any attacks and make them worst. So I just been going on a day to day basis.
Avatar m tn psychotic depression can encompass a wide variety of symptoms. i treat people with "psychotic depressions" a lot. Depending on what symptoms people are experiencing, different medications will be used. People will often respond very quickly to antipsychotic meds (even within days). The deeper depressive symptoms may take longer to fully resolve but that does not mean you cannot get feeling much much better relatively quickly.
424839 tn?1268186246 Buddhism explains karma in order to reveal how to transform it. Put another way, to hold the doctrine of karma over people without fully clarifying the means for changing it is to wrongly interpret Buddhism. Such teachings only cause people to remain bound by the shackles of fate.. Present effects are due to karmic causes from the past. However, future effects arise from the causes we make in the present. It is always the present that counts.
Avatar f tn I now know I always had behavior that was unusual and somewhat abnormal since I was a child, first started having psychotic thoughts when I was 13 and then at the age of 18 had a full psychotic break. I never really felt like myself until I started that treatment in clinical study but once I did could look back and see that I always had behavior patterns and obsessions that were markedly abnormal.
444932 tn?1273980797 In addition to addiction to Lortab, for the past couple of years, I have also struggled a lot with severe depression. I started collecting quotes that were meaningful and/or helpful to me in my struggles. I know some people think these things are cheezey or cliches, but I know that looking back over some of these quotes has helped give me much needed boosts once in awhile.

I have modified the speech a little to make it more appropriate for the board but the message remains the same. Let me know what you think.
