Just a quick question, has anybody had a younger man love you, well I do , we were co workers and one day we went out and had a coffee together, he started writing love letters to me , I found that was strange, He knows I am married and he still wrote them, he's 6 years younger than me, Question to this day he says he loves me , Weird.
If you find the right medications, therapy and support from people it is something people can recover from and learn to live with. Its important just to see it as a part of your life. Not one you wanted of course. But one you cope with. If your father has severe depression and nothing is helping him find out what else is out there is the way of treatment. I had seen a post by ILADVOCATE about a study he participated in and recovered from schizoafffective disorder. I did read that psychotic symptoms in SD may persist and felt maybe this is what my daughter is.Maybe ILADVOCATE can tell me more about this and the antipsychotic he was on. I have read that glycine helps the MNDR(I may have these letters mixed up) receptors function better and may help psychosis. Where can I get more information about glycine therapy and will medicaid pay for it?
It is worse when she gets upset. Reading is almost impossible because she says the letters are moving, worse on the computer. I don't know if this is a new developing symptom, a med side affect or what? Does anyone have similar symptoms?

My pdoc yesterday told me it's possible to have a psychotic break from too severe anxiety. This scares me bad, what is that? Does that mean I'll go crazy and hurt someone? Myself? Has anyone ever had one of these? Also is there anyone here that has had several months of severe anxiety, then slowly goes back to several months of calm? I'm afraid this feeling will last forever. Just to make sure I'm experiencing this "anxiety" what does it feel like to u all?
At the request of his mother, I started a correspondence with a friend from high school when I learned that he had gone to prison for minor drug charges. He had fallen in with a rough crowd after his dad died and his mom moved the family over a few counties to be closer to her folks. I can understand how you must feel as my husband was on methadone and began to go psychotic. He is now off methadone as he could not control the hallucinations and dreams that he got from it. I do not have an answer for you, only my sympathy. The lamictal is used as a mood stabilizer and should help keep you from going manic.Maybe ILAD can give you the name of a pharmopsychologist to talk to you and help you. You are indeed in no mans land.
Ok, I posted before with a problem my boyfriend thinks I'ma nympho, and yeah here's another concern: I know this may be weird to some but my boyfriend and I do this role play thing where I pretend he's a little boy and I pretend I'm his mother and I'm seducing him and he feels scared and molested but it's all part of the act and he even makes a little boy voice.
I left my husband who suffers from paranoia and he has terrorised myself and our two children sice I dared leave him. I was subjected to frequent and brutal destruction of property, methodical destruction and death threats by men waiting for me in the street, anonymous letters to my employer, then false charges made against me for child abuse etc... I have always been very fit and partook in regular sport (half marathon etc).
He is having problems recognizing his letters and numbers. The teacher keeps telling me how behind he is and that he will probably be retained. They keep telling me that he is young and that it would not hurt him to hold him back. I don't feel comfortable with this. I want to blame myself for the fact that I don't feel that I have worked with him enough. His is my fourth child and we have so much going on all the time.

I had psychotic depression and after a couple of years of treatment I have been able to give up the anti psychotic. By very slowly reducing it over time. But will remain on an anti depressant for more time. Be patient.
Your Doctor doesnt sound very optomistic? Mine gave me a lot of hope.
Take it easy and see what happens. Depression can go so bad that you become psychotic. but after a couple of years maybe you can improve and your Doctor will advise you on reducing the medication.
