Recently, I discovered that I have had pseudomonas aeruginosa in my lungs for 9 years. I had thought that I had had this for 2-3 years. It has caused pneumonia that has been difficult to get rid of. I have been a patient at your facility in January, 2009, but no treatment was given to get rid of my pseudomonas. I really want this to be cured and know there has to be a way to cure it, even if it is a clinical trial. I am a 56 year old female.

My 7y girl has had uti for three years and has several types of antibiotics last one was amoxicillin/clavulanic acid,57mg. She now has Pseudomonas and doctor wants to give her cipro. think I should handle this differantly?
I had a sinus infection at the time, and I still have it. In April of 2013, it went into Pseudomonas and MRSA. Oral antibiotics got rid of the pseudomonas, but now I'm on IV antibiotic therapy 2 grams of Vancomycin infused every 12 hours. Of the 23 antigens they tested my blood for I had one that showed up a little bit. They gave me an pneumonia shot to hopefully stimulate some immunities, but the doc doesn't think it will work.
My dad is 81 and has chronic pseudomonas infection in his lungs. He also has COPD. This is his 4th round of getting this infection in 3 years. He just got out of the hospital from a 5 day stay 3 weeks ago and did a 10 day pick line antibiotic. His Dr called today and he still has the infection. They are calling it a 4+ pseudomonas infection. (whatever that means). He has done every antibiotic there is (pill form, nebulizer, inhalers and pick line) for this and nothing is working anymore.
he barely talks, but can talk sometimes with few words. he also caught pneumonia of pseudomonas spp. which is very difficult to treat. he is also severly immunocompromised. he needs 24hr care such as ng tube feeding, diaper change, physiotherapy etc. he is 61 years old and has been bedridden for 5 months now.
Currently he is in his native country but we are thinking of bringing him to USA for better treatment. He is a US citizen and has insurance here. he was out of USA while he got sick.
My 15 year old son has been treated with antibotics for a month now, for an ear infection. first amox. then bactrium, and final a culture was done on the drainage. i had this problem 15 years ago and the constant spit is causing irritation on my throat, respiratory system and im sure caused me pre athmatic symptoms, tried all allergy and gastric medications and nothing permanent just periodic treatment , did blood test, glycose etc ...very frustrated and as i mentioned earlier when i do a hand stand and bend my legs forward blood comes in the spit 4-5 times .
My daughter had been diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia and now the doctor says she no longer has it. No RVR but EVR which is quite the difference in treatment duration. I feel I will never make another 36 weeks of this hell. Depression is terrible, started Wellbutrin last week, not sure if it has helped yet. Have had quite the rash but find psycological sides harder than physical
As I could have been only a week or 2 from RVR arm of study (tx 24 weeks) I am questioning adding a extra 24 weeks SOC treatment. No testing between week 4 and 8.

She was recently advised that a culture shows that pseudomonas bacteria is the culprit this time. However, she was also advised that she is allergic to all of the antibiotics used to kill the bacteria. Any suggestions?
DId he get this while he was in the hospital and now cant get rid of the infection of the uti and the (stenotrophomonas maltophilia) pseudomonas does it just show culture in his urine and what is his side effect. i have to self cath and I have pick up this bacteria somewhere and im freak out and the dr i have is why to relaxed. what ahas his systoms been and how did they now he had it.
I know in my case I just keep chugging. I had MRSA and Pseudomonas in my lungs which does not always present as pneumonia, however, Doctors wrote me off as a carrier and then sent me oout into community to spread it around. I live in a very small town outside of Tallahassee and have no insurance so my treatment choices are somewhat limited. I was refered to Vocational Rehab which is a great program in Florida.

same problem over here,now im going for 4th surgery wish will open all sinuses and then going for heawy treatman with antibiotics..in your and any ones case test your self with long specialist for lung cistyse fibrosis as thei cause lung infections and polyps together with pseudomonas bacterie..only adequate ventilation+antibiotics can remove theis bacterie from body,nothing else...in case of lung cistyse fibrisys =sorry no cure...
If it is Pseudomonas Cellulitis what is the treatment? Should I try to keep my foot dry with powders or moist with lotrimin? Is there any permanent effects from having this bacterial infection and about how long after beginning treatment should this clear up?
