I am taking 200mg Lyrica daily, plus 20mg Prozac, and Vicodin 5/500 as needed. I am miserable today - hurt all over I have a dr appt tomorrow morning but today is still long. I'm out of Vicodin and I have had a few 8 mg Dilaudid hanging around for awhile because a friend gave them to me. Has anyone had this combination of drugs? I need something but I am afraid the Lyrica and Prozac might interact with Dilaudid. Has anyone used Dilaudid to manage Fibro pain?
she wants me to get me calmed down so i can wean off the vicodin. i am very afraid of this drug. but i know docs are using it with antidepressants to help with depression. so maybe it will work. all i know is that i need to get off the vicodin bad. i take 3 ,10mgs of it a day . it used to make me happy but now it is causing me to to have panic atttacks and terrible ddepression. i guess i will try it and see what happens. as i said i am to take a very small dose.
I recently got off Vicodin on January 2nd. It became addictive. I've been on Xanax for 10 years and I am tapering. I'm taking 1-1/2 mg. per day and I started taking Prozac at 10 mg. per day a week ago. I am experiencing racing thoughts, discomfort with my heart beating, clammy, smoky taste in my mouth after sleeping, horrible Anxiety buzz (Which begins with the racing thoughts), sore temple, tightness in head.
it is not their fault, our medical proffession is just not getting educated very well. and prozac. how does that mix with the hormonal changes through pregnancy? you should keep that in mind if you should start to experience some unusual feelings or moods.
that is alot of drugs to be taking while pregnant. you should probably knock it off. if you think you are pysically addicted, than its probably not a good idea to stop all of a sudden. tapper it down instead.
Those with depression issues have a high incidence of abusing drugs and alcohol. Your only 60 and have a long time to live if you choose to take care of yourself. Not to be disrespectful but you sound like you are in major denial. There is so much in life that can make you happy even when you are sober. that will take work and take you gettig into a program to get the tools to learn how to live life again.
I have been tired my whole life. Low-grade chronic depression. So I found tha tthe vicodin and the prozac were the perfect combo- no pain plus i felt really good. better than ever. then i ran out of the vicodin and realized i was addicted to it because i immediately became very depressed, could not sleep, don't care about anything, etc etc. It has been two days. My main problems are depression and no sleep. No sweats or jitters or anything. I have zero motivation.
6 weeks is not really long enough for you to experience an actual "withdrawal" from the Ativan, typically a "short term" course of treatment is considered 3 months or less. Those people who are on Ativan short-term won't typically experience a withdrawal, but there IS a possibility of some rebound anxiety, which is probably what you're dealing with.
The increase in anxiety will evebntually subside, but it may take a few weeks. Same with the sleep symptoms.
m on 10mg of Prozac and have noticed some weight gain within the past 2 months or so and my doctor has suggested I start taking Wellbutrin along with the Prozac but my biggest concern is having panic attacks. I suffer from panic disorder w/ agoraphobia and the Prozac has been helping but I'm afraid that adding on the Wellbutrin may counteract that. (I know it is considered a stimulant for a lot of people - hence the usual weight loss.
My psychiatrist has just added Zyprexa to take with Prozac as the Prozac is not working like it used to work.I'm worried about the weight gain with Zyprexa, is there something else that could be used with the Prozac instead? Also until now I've also been taking 1 mg. Ativan in the morning and 1 mg Ativan before bed. Is it safe to use Ativan with the Zyprexa?
I spent a few days in the bed with no desire to do anything almost not even breath. It has crippled me physically and mentally. I seen a psychiatrist on Monday which started me on 20mg Prozac and .5 mg klonipin. It is now wed and I feel much better than I did Saturday and Sunday. This is the hardest thing (depression) I have had to overcome in my life. Quitting Vicodin was a cake walk.
I will say this. I feel like the corner has been turned. I feel like the worse is over.
Physically is the easy part of detox.... or for me anyways...the hardest part and the part I notice the most change is how I felt emotionally. When you feel emotionally better then your body will feel better too.... you will find you have more energy, and more strength.
The physical part may seem the worse at first, but once you get past the first week then you will have the emotional part..... that's the part that I had the hardest time with......
Hi! You have to be patient. The depression doesn't have to be treated with vicodin. How about an antidepressant? Would the doctor give you that? Your physical symptoms will get better in a day or two, so just hang on! I know that the cravings are bad and so is the crying, but you have to hang on. It will only get worse if you get pills called in and take them. I promise you that! It just puts off the inevitable, which is dealing with the depression in the right way.

What do I say to my doc..im so scared. I quit my prozac a year ago when I started percocets. I very much need it. I stopped because of the great feeling from the stupid percs. Please help,im so lost.
5 like 2 weeks ago for a impacted wisdom tooth that I cant get out until October 7th (go figure). Of course I have a fear of taking any new medications unless its my prozac 30 mg. I have been off my prozac for 1 and 1/2 and was doing pretty good until i started taking the lortab. But know when i take the lortab i have really bad anxiety and 2 days ago i had a panick attack which freaked me and my husband both out.
Toxic -I am sorry to hear that you are going to be stuck indoors for the weekend. We are supposed to get rain here in NY. Get a nice pedicure, I did that last weekend.
Bobby- thank you, I feel amazing the past few days. I know it helps that I got back on my Prozac a month ago so it is finally working to keep my mood balanced. I abused the vicodin a lot because I didn't know how to deal with my anxiety, so the vicodin made me numb.
Does anyone experience this. I've taken vicodin 2x's since starting tx, and everytime I do within 2 days afterward I become very ill. eg: Extremely bad headache and nauseau. Its so bad I've missed 2 days of work both times, last nite the headaches got so bad all i could do was cry because I felt so helpless.
I was wondering because vicodin taxes the liver so much if thats whats causing me to get so sick.
I know for sure no more vic for me.
I have been taking Vicodin es & lortabs on and off for about the last 4 years. I have a neck injury but I know now that I really don't need these all of the time everyday and now I think I just take them. I just got Vicodin es from an urgent care center because my dr. was closed. I take between 2 - 2!/2 vics a day.
I have been taking prozac for about two weeks now, this is my second time taking this medicine for depression and anxiety. Lately I have burning sensation in my arm, wrist and hands. I am also being treated for a fall that I had back in April -2008. Is there anyone out there who has had this type of reaction to a fall or antidepresent.
