5 months I took klonopin sparingly and Prozac. I stayed on Prozac for my entire second pregnancy. My oldest son is fine. My younger son has ADHD but so do I as well as my husband so I don't think it came from the Prozac. Do a bit of research as far as studies go. When I had my kids, there were no studies. There wasn't even the Internet I don't think. I guess what I'm saying is you can have your sanity as well as children.

I had great success with Prozac, and no weight gain. We all respond differently to these types of drugs, and what one experiences with a drug, another may not. I'm assuming your doctor felt the Prozac would be better for you weight wise or he would not have changed your medication. Thanks for input on prozac. I remember that's why I liked the prozac cuz it does give me energy after about a week or two. I think I will try to go back on it since my depression causes me to be lower functioning which in turn causes me more depression. So, the added energy would really help and I do have a refill of low dose xanax that I could use to combat the increased anxiety that I usually get initially.

I highly recommend trying yoga to release stress or to stay stress free. Also, I love my baths! Every night I listen to Pandora on the station 'Ambient Radio' & it plays the most relaxing music like rainforest & rain :) I use lush bombs too! Pamper yourself to a bath like that every night before bed! Good luck!

So today i decided to put my phone on my stomach while i listened to Pandora. I'm 23 weeks, i read that by now they can hear the outside. Sail by Awolnation played, he started kicking up a storm, I played other songs and he didn't move. Does it mean he didn't like that song and the other songs were soothing?

Well, I tried comming off of the (generic) Remeron agian and within 48 hours had some serious anxiety. I'm still on 20mg's Prozac (little over 3 weeks now) I see my doc on Monday, but am really uncomfortable right now. I actually went back on Remeron last evening to get a least a little rest. My doctor told me after a couple of weeks on Prozac I could just stop taking the Remeron as it doesn't generally have any serious withdrawl side effects.

tired and cranky all the time, thought it was the effexor....On July 12 doctor switched me from effexor 75 mg. to 20mg prozac...prozac made me rage...after 11 days of taking prozac, I quit taking everything (July 23rd). Now I am irritable, short tempered and very impatient with people....are these withdrawals or signs of needing to to back on another anti depressant.

Here there are stories of this panacea and that panacea that suddenly stopped working. Medicine after medicine is fed to you by clinics, doctors, nurses, medicine men or whomever but without your participation they will not work. Only YOU can make it work, so quit looking for the ultimate cure that only exists in your willingness to withdraw and use what you have inside YOU waiting to get out.

I am 18w4d and my little girl seems to love music..I turn on my pandora radio and sit it on my tummy and she dances all around in there..it is absolutely adorable and I can't get enough of feeling her move:)good luck on your pregnancy!

I think I am ready to try medication for my anxiety for the first time in my life. Right now I have two choices...Celexa or Prozac. My doctor prescribed Celexa, but gave me the choice of which SSRI I would like to try (since they are all similar). I am wondering if Prozac would be a better choice for me though, because my 16 yr old. cousin (daughter of my mother's identical twin sis) suffers from anxiety that mirrors my symptoms EXACTLY.

I have been referred to a Phsyciatrist and he has prescribed me with Prozac starting with 20mg and working up to 40mg, but dilemma is whether to take them or not. I am medication free for the last 8 weeks and I don't feel as brain dead but the anxiety and my mood is taking its tole on me at the moment. Should I hang in another while or just take the Proxac!!!!!!

I have been sick on and off since 2003. All really weird symptoms and never any explaination found. I have had Brain/spine/abdominal MRI's Ct scans of the brain/pelvis /ear and abdomen...tons of bloodwork and everthing comes up neg. I have had ear infections, urinary retantion, gastroparesis, GERD etc. I just started on a sm dose of prozac as my doc and I am at a loss..... We've ruled out autoimmune stuff as well....Is this anxiety. I had been very "keyed up" after 9/11..

I wonder if they report today? I always get lab reports, but can't remember if I have to wait a couple of days for viral test. I haven't had one since 12 week. Today is my 24 week. Her recommend of treatment for me is Prozac or Sera something (new name given to Prozac). For my daughter, she wanted to used a stimulant. I declined this and told her I want to hold off for a year or so to see what happens. She is REAL close to starting her menses and I would rather err on being too cautious than kicking myself later on. What are your suggestions?
