I have been on both Prozac and generic Prozac in the past. I thought it was just a coincidence but the brand name Prozac worked much better than the generic for me. My doctor confirmed this and said she didn't believe the generic form was as effective. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Ive heard that there is a difference in the brand of meds that we with anxiety get. Like I used to get my 20 mg Prozac from Meijer "local Store" and had a few side effects, then my Doc switched me to 20mg in the morning, 10 mg at night, and I got them filled at the Pharmacy there in the DR's.

Prozac worked wonderfully for me were the generic form didn't do me any good. I spoke with my doctor (not the one who perscribed either med to me) about this and she agreed and said the generic Prozac is not as effective. Hope this helps.
