I found that if I take Zantac 75 two hours prior to taking the Prozac, it really works to reduce the acid and heartburn. Maalox and Tums, etc. are temporary fixes, it seems, but Zantac last 24 hours.

I am so down and sad. Everyone tells me to give the Prozac some time. I think I just need some reassurance.

I take 40 mg of prilosec a day and it works amazing

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

the doctors put on prelosec, zantac, and prozac thinking it was do to anxiety. But it has not been working. We saw another doctor and he put him on meds. for abdominal migraine. That is not working either. The syptoms are worse around 4:00pm . He trys to relief it by going to the bathroom. But most on the time it does not work. He does burp and pass gas with this syptom. I am starting to think it is something really bad. He sometime cries because the nausea is so bad and he turns white.

my body shakes 90% of time, came on in the last 3 months, I'm 47, good health, eat very health,y excerise,. I do have thryroid problems, but numbers are fine now. I have mvp, and i don't know what's going on. I shake when I'm calm, watch tv, wake up shaking, if I get nervouse they get worse or like hold a cup of tea is hard, typing is hard, and writing,. When I wash dishes I often drop things, like by hands just have a force on surge and sometimes toss sothing im holding.

I've just started taking zantac, and I don't know if I'll have any side effects, or if my regular symptoms (stomach pain, upset stomach) will become apparent or come back. My question is this; if I get nauseous, stomach pain, upset stomach etc. as a side effect or other, can I take tums to calm my stomach down? Or will it just make things worse? I can't talk to my doctor because (a) don't have an appointment and (b) am too young to drive there or get an appointment myself.

After month upon month of frustration, the wife goes and buys hubby some extra strength Zantac and within three hours he was wanting a cheeseburger. When the doctors came in that afternoon I asked them to give it a try. After a bit of condescending attitude on the doctor's part, he said, well, it can't hurt her so if that's what you want we will give it a try. I been to the ER about 10 times over the last year because i felt like i could not breath. Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!

Here are the meds I am own - Questran - 1 packet for irritable bowl, Prozac for OCD, Allergy Injections, Methyldopa for blood pressure, and Trilipix for Triglycerides (nearly 1000), and Vitamin D. I am only 30!! I am overwieght but work hard to get rid of it with little or no results. They even checked me for Cushings. My TSH is low at 0.3 and I have a Goiter but no known thyroid problem. I have acne. Anyone know what could be causing my heartburn to be so severe?

Zantac Ranitidine (150mg), antacid zellox-II, Zecuf, antibiotic (cephalexin), paracetamol, and cough syrup. This is when problem occurred. I started to experience soft light yellow stool (very little as i didn't eat much), diarrhea (>3 times, little too) , indigestion, nausea, and bloat. I started to get worried and didn't take the medicine for the time being. Please advise me what to do now. Thanks in advance.

When I was taking Prozac I didnt gain weight.Paxcel made me gain some though.

I am able to live with my attacks (which can get really bad at times) and I actually have a fear of taking meds. I think the only thing I will take is a child's dose of tylenol only when I have a fever or migrane. I have discovered that taking Vitamin B Complex capsules have helped reduce my stress and anxiety levels. Also, I still love taking Flinstone vitamins, on top of the vit B complex. I feel great when I don't miss out in taking one a day.

The Dr said this would go away once the prozac fully kicked in , but its been a month and nothing. I know the prozac is helping but i have ups and downs all day. If I sit at home by myself for an hr or two i will feel depression and or anxiety. I guess my question is..... do you think that I should request a higher mg of prozac (20) or keep giving the 10mg pills a try? I hate having to try so hard to not feel depressed.

Hi i'm on Prozac and trazodone if you start on a low dose of trazodone it shouldn't be an issue and there really is no interaction with trazodone and Prozac because I've been on trazodone and Prozac for years and I've never had a problem you just have to take it like maybe you're better off just taking half a tablet or something

My RE and my OB both said I could take Zantac 150 - - didn't want me to take Pepto Bismol (b/c it has aspirin in it) or Prilosec OTC (it's a category C).

By taking a medication off prescription and making it OTC the NHS saves money and the pharmaceutical company make more money because presumably more people will by it when they don't need a prescription. The reason you think Rannitidine is less effective is because the placebo effect has been removed.In fact both drugs are equally effective. Otherwise the generic version would not have been licenced.
