I also take Clonazepam - 0.5mg for anxiety and Prozac - 20mg to help with my nervousness and anxiety. These medications do help, but I have noticed over the past year that my shaky head syndrome and my shaky legs while driving has gotten worse. It is getting to the point that I am barely able to drive, and I have noticed that my head is shaking more than it used to. Is there anything else I can do or any other medication I could take to help me so I can continue to drive?
Yes from what I can read the potential of an interaction was noted and that doctors prescribing the two medications together should monitor these concerns. You could discuss the specifics with your psychiatrist who of course would have a full understanding of this concern. However it should be noted that many medications can interact with lithium by raising or lowering the blood level of lithium. When the blood level of lithium is higher the potential for hand tremors increases.

my whole body shakes, head to legs, I have a times light numbness in left side of face, (once or twice a week for hour or so. It is very embrassing when I go out to work I collect DNA samples, and hand shake, and legs people are always asking are you ok. Most of the time people can't see it though.
I have essential tremors and I have been taking Klonopin for a very long time along with Baclofen (for the soreness in my neck muscles). I take 2mg 2x a day of Klonopin and 20mg 2x a day of Baclofen. I also take Prozac 40mg every night. My doctor has been talking about putting me on beta-blockers for my tremors, but he won't do so until I can get my asthma under control (he prescribed Dulera inhaler 2x a day & I also have an Albuterol inhaler).
I have also tried Paxil, Celexa and Zoloft and they all made me feel lethargic, sleepy and in the mood for nothing. Yes, bupropion makes it hard for me to sleep and makes me slightly edgy, but I get the energy and the feelings of motivation. it's really different for everybody. I don't get the tremors etc, though.
I was diagnosed with BP II with more noticeable depression as well. I'm actually on a combo of Wellbutrin/Abilfy and it's the PERFECT combo for me. I was on lamictal and it made me crazy and had awful side effects. I've never taken Prozac or Lithium, as I've found a combo that works for me. I take 250mg Wellbutrin twice a day and 15mg of Abilify. I also take an anti-anxiety med and sleeping pills as needed.

i dont get it maybe its teh wellbutrin,,dr stopped my prozac on a taper casue after being on it since march i am still depressed gained weigh and no sex drive///said i should do ok on the ellbutrin since i have been on sicne the 1oth i cant tell if its helping or not..and this tingling again thsi morning sorry for my spelling a bit nervous this morning..

I've been taking Fluoxetine (generic Prozac) for a few years now and about 6 months ago I upped my dosage. My sex drive on the lower dose was already low, but now it's almost non-existent. At first it wasn't a problem because I haven't been seeing anyone, but now that I am I would really like to try and fix this problem.
Since I'm female feel like this is going to be a more difficult process.
Would anyone know of any supplements that can help this side effect??

Can't smoke pot anymore, I know that's not important but I just find it really odd bc I used to smoke every day, it always made me ao mellow. I've done LSD twice, MDMA frequently and cocaine.

Both of these are two of the most difficult meds out there, especially when you want to stop taking them. I'd go with ssris first since snris can be very stimulating, or tricyclics, or just try therapy and see if you can do it that way. I don't think either of these will give you tremors, that's usually the mood disorder drugs, but side effects are peculiar to the individual, they don't necessarily go along with the med. What's easy for one is hard for another.
He was in prison for a short time and while he was there they gave him a cocktail of haldol, geodon, prozac, depakote, remeron and cogentin all at one time. He was on this cocktail for 12 months. When released he no longer had the medications and had very bad withdrawals of intense tremors. Of course these subsided but he has these episodes of violent jerking of his legs and shoulders. When his legs kick, he does experience a painful heat sensation in his lower back.
I appreciate your response! It's something my family/friends did not understand at all. I found it odd that no one I talked to had any such "episodes" and I felt very foolish trying to explain it. I was looking for someone to say, "oh, that happens to me and don't worry about it." At least what you're saying to me makes sense! I understand panic attacks can occur after trauma and after the death of my sister, I went through awful emotional distress.
I am able to live with my attacks (which can get really bad at times) and I actually have a fear of taking meds. I think the only thing I will take is a child's dose of tylenol only when I have a fever or migrane. I have discovered that taking Vitamin B Complex capsules have helped reduce my stress and anxiety levels. Also, I still love taking Flinstone vitamins, on top of the vit B complex. I feel great when I don't miss out in taking one a day.
The Dr said this would go away once the prozac fully kicked in , but its been a month and nothing. I know the prozac is helping but i have ups and downs all day. If I sit at home by myself for an hr or two i will feel depression and or anxiety. I guess my question is..... do you think that I should request a higher mg of prozac (20) or keep giving the 10mg pills a try? I hate having to try so hard to not feel depressed.
Hi i'm on Prozac and trazodone if you start on a low dose of trazodone it shouldn't be an issue and there really is no interaction with trazodone and Prozac because I've been on trazodone and Prozac for years and I've never had a problem you just have to take it like maybe you're better off just taking half a tablet or something
