So it may or may not be your medication. At first on Prozac it was a little hard to fall asleep and stay asleep, and my mouth was always dry, but it goes away after a couple of weeks. My fiance's mother takes 20mg of Prozac and gets a little nauseus and drowsy for a while, so it could be. You should talk with your doctor to see, maybe you just need to switch your medication.
P.S. My anxiety made me worry that every little thing going on with me was the medication screwing with me.
I've been taking Fluoxetine (generic Prozac) for a few years now and about 6 months ago I upped my dosage. My sex drive on the lower dose was already low, but now it's almost non-existent. At first it wasn't a problem because I haven't been seeing anyone, but now that I am I would really like to try and fix this problem.
Since I'm female feel like this is going to be a more difficult process.
Would anyone know of any supplements that can help this side effect??
t be sure as to what maybe happening here as it does vary as sometimes it can be quite normal and of substance so to speak and sometimes like water which i find unsettling, but owing to having changed meds and still not being entirely happy with them this specific matter i'm not concentrating upon as putting it down to the "sexual problems" to be expected with SSRI's /SNRI's.
The Docs right, first though you need some space and just relax, take a sex break, be with your g/f and tell her no mucking around for a while, the slowly get back into things and see how you get on, but take things easy you have your whole sex life infront of you, and a good relationship will last a life time, me I got married 1970 and we still have sex now I'm out of ED.
after seeing that i panic i also nw have erectile dysfunction i cant get an erection where as 2 weeks b4 i had erections all the time and they were so hard that i had that tightnes in the tip to but nw i can even get up after trying hard it does get up but partialy n goes down again.i went to neurologist he saw x ray n said thers nthng much rong n not much straightening is present.

Thanks for the helpful advise. I'm just really tired of dealing with the side effects of SSRIs. They seem to make me totally impotent and really tired and from what I've experienced with Paxil, the withdrawals are terrible if I stop taking the medication. I seem to have no tolerance for any of the medications that I've tried lately and whatever side effects there seem to bet the ones I suffer from.That's the hell that I'm stuck in!
If you are suffering with the impotence then start doing the workout regularly and in few days you would be able to see positive results.

I am able to live with my attacks (which can get really bad at times) and I actually have a fear of taking meds. I think the only thing I will take is a child's dose of tylenol only when I have a fever or migrane. I have discovered that taking Vitamin B Complex capsules have helped reduce my stress and anxiety levels. Also, I still love taking Flinstone vitamins, on top of the vit B complex. Ever since taking Kepra 500mg twice a day I no longer get aroused and thus no erection at all. Tried Viagra and other such stimulants with no results.
The Dr said this would go away once the prozac fully kicked in , but its been a month and nothing. I know the prozac is helping but i have ups and downs all day. If I sit at home by myself for an hr or two i will feel depression and or anxiety. I guess my question is..... do you think that I should request a higher mg of prozac (20) or keep giving the 10mg pills a try? I hate having to try so hard to not feel depressed.
