prozac and forgetfulness

Hello, I went on prozac and then my life totally changed and I felt great. So I went off of it. but then in the past few months I got depressed again. I'm thinking I should go back on it.

This causes me high anxiety and worry. I also have confusion, forgetfulness, and frustration, and my thinking gets very disorganized. All of these things make it hard for me to work. It is hard for me to stay on task because my brain is moving so fast. Right now I'm taking lithium and I'm hoping to see a difference. The medication will help her but she may need an adjustments. Also it takes about 2 weeks for the effects to start showing. Is she in talk therepy?

When I was a couple of months I lost my keys and still havent found them. LOL I always forgot why I walked in a room and some times don't remember until hours later. My friend and I call it momnesia and just laugh it off.

I have been on methotrexate for over 20 years and also have been on etanercept (enbrel) but now am only on methotrexate, celebrex and infusions of rituxan every 6 months. I read about all the adverse reactions of all the meds I take and these have never been associated with either of your meds. it could be the vitamin d and calcium deficiencies. best of luck to you.

I definitely took them but she felt you pee most of it out as absorption of pill form vitamins is hard.

Hi there. I was a migraine sufferer. They are terrible. I'd get the whole 'aura' so that I knew it was coming, then I couldn't be in light, no sound, I was nauseated and I'd go to bed and sleep for 24 hours. Really terrible. Mine were related to food I found out through a headache clinic. Flavor and sugar substitutes cause a reaction in me. Weird, huh? Anyway, I think you'll be okay to wait to see your doctor. the slurring of speech is a bit worrisome.

Hey, my name's Eduardo i am 20 years old, and i have been recieving these chronic headaches, forgetfulness, lethargy, energy drains away from just doing laundry!!! etc. D octor diagnosed me with Adhd, but i do not believe i have it. Reason being when taking medications for it, it doesnt work for what it is meant to do. Other thing is im starpped on with these headaches its hard to think and also talk properly, i just keep saying i forgot this word etc. Ijust need answers please.

ve noticed increased seizure activity and forgetfulness. Also, irritability and nervousness. Has anyone else had this or similar experience? Also, if so, what/if anything helped?

When I was taking Prozac I didnt gain weight.Paxcel made me gain some though.

I am able to live with my attacks (which can get really bad at times) and I actually have a fear of taking meds. I think the only thing I will take is a child's dose of tylenol only when I have a fever or migrane. I have discovered that taking Vitamin B Complex capsules have helped reduce my stress and anxiety levels. Also, I still love taking Flinstone vitamins, on top of the vit B complex. I feel great when I don't miss out in taking one a day.

The Dr said this would go away once the prozac fully kicked in , but its been a month and nothing. I know the prozac is helping but i have ups and downs all day. If I sit at home by myself for an hr or two i will feel depression and or anxiety. I guess my question is..... do you think that I should request a higher mg of prozac (20) or keep giving the 10mg pills a try? I hate having to try so hard to not feel depressed.

Hi i'm on Prozac and trazodone if you start on a low dose of trazodone it shouldn't be an issue and there really is no interaction with trazodone and Prozac because I've been on trazodone and Prozac for years and I've never had a problem you just have to take it like maybe you're better off just taking half a tablet or something

For the past several months I have been experiencing symptoms of tachycardia- resting heart rate of 150's, constant sweating, insomnia, increase body temp,hand tremors, brittle nail/hair and headaches. I also have hypothyroid symptoms such as constipation, sluggish, forgetfulness, inability to concentrate and I have also gained 25 pounds in 2 months (not due to increase in intake), I also work out everyday and have a personal trainer.

I suggest that you seek consult wih a neurologist. The symptoms of numbness and forgetfulness may be attributed readily to a nerve related cause however, forgetfulness may need to be further evaluated. You need a complete neurological examination and a mental status examination to test memory and cognition. At this point,there may be several differentials such as a cervicogenic or spine related headache. However, other conditions have to be ruled out first.

First of all, you shouldn't just stop taking antidepressants without discussing it with your doctor. Fortunately, you weren't on the Prozac long enough and you were at a very low dose, so you didn't experience the nasty effects of going cold turkey off these types of meds. Prozac can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to reach "steady state" in your body. That is the point at which it will begin to help you.

I have been on and off prozac for 4 years and i now am experiencing heartburn. I take 20mg at night because it makes me dizzy but i dont get the heartburn until the afternoon the next day. I was wondering is it safe to take ranitidine 150mg effervescent? I took it all the time when needed before being back on prozac and it works i was wondering does it cause any side affect?
