Your Dr. can give you a drug test at any time. I get one at every visit, it show's the medication and the amounts in my system. If your records show that you have failed drug tests due to anything that is not prescribed by your Dr. will make it harder to find a PM Dr. or any Dr. who will give pain medication. I had been taking Protonix around the time of both tests and am wondering if I might actually have it and that's why protonix, dexilant, carafate, and zantac have failed to work. Nothing will get rid of the pain. I was told it was a small erosion compatible with gastritis and looked very treatable, but I'm losing hope.
But, on 3/18 and 4/01 where my specimens were sent to a lab in Scottsdale Arizona Norchem they came back positive for thc and the instant panel test I took on 4/17 came back positive but all the other ones before, after and in between were negative now they are threatening to throw me in jail in Cheboygan County Michigan and I have not done any drugs whatsoever.
He could have recently eaten a lot of poppy seeds just prior to the screening, sometimes that will cause a false positive test. More realistically he ingested a drug (narcotic) that showed up in the screen. THC (pot/weed) will not show as morphine.
Trigger point injections will also not cause a positive on a drug screening. There are several narcotics that will show up as morphine.

can a person who has been trimming marijuana,and sitting in a room with a lot of hanging marijuana with dust in the air for a period of three weeks or so, test positive for thc even if he has not smoked...do you get a positive result from handling/trimming or can you get a positive result from being in the room with so much drying marijuana?

I do take a all natural Colon cleanser called Almighty Cleanse and I took ex-lax and ran for a hour and a hlf with a trash bag on to loose any water weight. I did all this to loose weight due to the wieght restrictions the USCG has. I need hard facts to prove that I don't have thc in my system and the test is wrong.

well, i am not a doc at a clinic but, i would think that they might kick you out of the clinic if you test positive for thc. was there a reason why you would think you had thc in your system? is it medical use? if it was clean, why would they retest you again? it is hard to understand what is going on without more info.
if you would like to share more than that would be great, if not, i am afraid that you might be kicked out for having thc in your system.
So I tested positive for thc when they did blood work at 4 weeks. I also found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks so of course I quit right away. I was a regular smoker so of course it showed up positive. So doc told me tonight that I tested positive at my initial visit and will be retested my next visit. I HAVE NOT SMOKED SINCE I FOUND OUT @4 weeks and im going to be 19 weeks when I go back.

That makes sense right? I failed my drug test because my fat cells are working over time constantly to keep every bit of fat my body has left. So even if I quit and was detoxing myself, because my fat cells cant leave, because I don't eat I'll still be positive? And for how long?
Hello, I'm a 34 yo man with GERD symptoms bloating, burping and frequent jabbing pains in throughout the abdominal area. I also suffer from palpitations due to anxiety and panic attacks.
My primary care doc ordered a 24 hour HIAA test and it came back elevated 14.8 mg.
I am really hoping this is a false positive result, but can't see the doctor till next week.

First and foremost, I do not do any drugs. Not even marijuana. However, I went to 2 friend's x-mas party after the "family" party not knowing there would be smoking pot. I was there from 11pm until 5am due to holiday celebration. I would occassionaly go outside for fresh air.
problem is they said i tested positive for methadone. wich ive never taken although i did take a sip of cough syrup that said on the label prometh /vc codeine syrup could this be mistaken for methadone. i had the normal oxycodone in my system. could the meth in prometh and the done in oxycodone show up as methadone , it oviosly can because i didnt take any methadon.please reply asap.

I assume you used marijuana in the past four weeks or so, since you tested positive for THC. Did you sign a pain medication contract with your doctor, or make some other agreement concerning use of street drugs? Many PM docs are very wary of patients who have a history of drug use/abuse. Perhaps you can make an appt. with your doc, talk to him about the THC result, and see how you and he can agree to work together.
