protonix side effects dizziness

my dr prescribed Protonix to me and I wondering how often does someone have dizziness from it and how long does it usually last? I haven't taken it yet due to that. Also I tried omeprazole otc and it gave me headaches. Does that mean I'm more likely to have side effects from Protonix?

t as virus, it was protonix. Dizziness and heart issues are side effects of PPIs. I was then put on Prilosec, 20 mg, but it didn't help. The doctor increased my dose to 20 mg twice daily. After a couple of weeks I started having heart palpitations, sometimes for 9 straight hours. After decreasing my dosage back to 20 mg once daily, the palpitations stopped. The doctor now wants me to take Prevacid, but I am worried about the side effects. Anyone have a bad experience with Prevacid?

would Nexium pose the same problems for her?

m not getting relief with chiropractic care or anything else for that matter, I started thinking about medication and side effects. The protonix s the only thing that could possibly be the culprit. I went off of it two days ago, took omaprazole instead, and have had a 50% reduction in the pain. Has anyone else experienced this. I am reluctant to mention it to the doctor because I'm afraid he will dismiss it. I want to be sure before I talk to him.

I have been diagnosed with Gerd and took Nexium 40 for 3 months with no relief and hives and acne as side effects. Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. yes, it is Trileptal. Side effects I have had recently are neutremia, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headache....seeing my psych doc next week. I am very disappointed that she did not catch this. I will slowly reducing my dose (I'm at 1800 mg now) in order to go off this drug, AND, I will never go back to this psych doc again.

Now being off the med for 13 days, and have been off of work since Feb. 3rd, I continue to have problems. I cannot drive or even ride in a vehicle without getting severe dizziness. This also happens when watching TV when fast movements cross the screen.

Is there something that I can do to combat the yucky side effects? Also, what about surgery? I do have a Dr. at Mayo that suggests a consult with the Neurosurgeon. I'd appreciate any feedback or ideas... Thanks much!

Has anyone had experience with side effects from metoprolol after using awhile? I've been on a minimal dose (25 mgs bid) for over 6 months now. I didn't seem to have any side effects to speak of until recently. I do also have positional vertigo. When I was researching Protonix and was reminded of it's side effects (I'd forgotten) it hit home. For some months I have been having those symptoms and several others that are progressing. All lab work that may explain the symptoms have returned normal. However I've taken Prilosec (Omeprazole) for many years.

I would like to know if these are side effects of the meds or if it is possible i have some disease that affects my joints/disks as well as raises my BP?

I looked up the side effects of Protonix - wow!!! So many! It did include the joint pain but said nothing about hearing loss - however, it did say that the list of side effects was not complete! I am taking Ipriflavone and Calcium with Vitamin D3 for my bone health. The Dr. prescribed Fosamax, but after reading about how it can cause weak bones, (what it's supposed to help) I discovered Ipriflavone.
